My tour guide Ashleigh was wonderful and helped make the experience very memorable and enjoyable. I had many questions that she helped answer and helped many of us take pictures as well. The tour in general did not feel rushed at all and there was an enough time to do many activities. I also liked how the tour started later at 9:30AM and after, which helps us arrive at the destinations later than other tour groups that helped us avoid peak crowds of other tour groups.

Hello! I’m a traveler from South Korea. I had always wanted to learn authentic Japanese home cooking, so I searched for cooking classes in Sapporo. I found this class through an AI recommendation, and after reading so many wonderful reviews, I decided to book it. What really stood out to me was that, unlike other classes, this one included a visit to a local market, which made the experience even more special. The instructor spoke both Japanese and English very well, so communication was smooth and comfortable throughout the entire experience. At the market, she recommended products that locals actually use. If I had visited the market on my own as a tourist, I probably would have ended up buying a few disappointing souvenirs. Instead, every single item she recommended turned out to be amazing! I brought them back to Korea, shared them with my family and friends, and even recreated the dishes at home. Everything was a huge success! Before the class, she asked what I wanted to learn, so I was able to cook the exact Japanese dishes I had hoped to make. I also learned a lot about Japanese seasonings, cooking utensils, and ingredients she uses in her own kitchen. Those little tips made the class even more valuable. Most importantly, she was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. We had great conversations throughout the class, and she explained every step so clearly that I felt completely comfortable from beginning to end. I originally thought this was simply a small-group class, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it’s actually one private booking per session. That made the experience even more personal and enjoyable. This time I joined by myself, but next time I’d love to come back with my friends or family. I truly think many Korean travelers would love this class if they knew about it. Hopefully I’ll have the chance to visit again before it becomes even more popular! I’ll never forget it! 안녕하세요! 저는 한국에서 온 여행객입니다. 일본에서 현지 요리를 직접 배워보고 싶어서 여러 클래스를 찾아보던 중 AI 추천을 통해 이 클래스를 알게 되었고, 리뷰가 너무 좋아 예약하게 되었습니다. 특히 다른 클래스와 달리 로컬 시장을 함께 둘러볼 수 있다는 점이 가장 큰 매력이었어요. 선생님께서는 일본어는 물론 영어도 정말 잘하셔서 소통하는 데 전혀 어려움이 없었습니다. 시장에서는 여행객인 제가 혼자였다면 절대 고르지 못했을 좋은 제품들만 추천해 주셨는데, 한국에 가져와 가족과 친구들에게 선물도 하고 직접 요리도 해 먹었는데 모두 정말 만족스러웠습니다. 실패한 제품이 하나도 없어서 더욱 감사했어요. 😊 또 수업 전에 어떤 요리를 배우고 싶은지 미리 물어봐 주셔서 꼭 배우고 싶었던 일본 요리를 직접 만들어 볼 수 있었습니다. 요리 과정뿐만 아니라 평소 사용하시는 조리도구와 조미료, 일본 식재료에 대한 설명도 정말 유익했고, 한국에서는 쉽게 접하기 어려운 정보라 더욱 흥미로웠습니다. 무엇보다 수업 내내 편안한 분위기에서 즐겁게 대화해 주시고, 하나하나 친절하게 알려주셔서 정말 행복한 시간이었습니다. 처음에는 소수 인원으로 진행되는 클래스인 줄만 알았는데, 한 팀만 진행하는 완전한 프라이빗 클래스여서 더욱 만족스러웠습니다. 이번에는 혼자 참여했지만 다음에는 꼭 친구들이나 가족과 함께 다시 오고 싶어요. 한국에도 이런 클래스를 알게 된다면 정말 많은 분들이 찾아오실 것 같습니다. 더 유명해지기 전에 저도 다시 한 번 레슨을 받고 싶네요. 😊 덕분에 삿포로 여행에서 가장 특별하고 오래 기억에 남을 추억을 만들었습니다. 진심으로 감사드립니다, 선생님!

Excellent experience for the whole family! Taku and his wife are the epitome of Japanese hospitality. Located about 20 minutes away from Sapporo Station by Taxi. We used the Go Taxi App. 1 hour includes history of soba, mixing soba flour and water by hand, rolling, and cutting by hand. The noodles are delicious and chewy. The soba sauce and soup are equally delicious. You can add on tempura if you’d like. Highly recommend this experience for the whole family.

We had a fantastic time on this food tour. It was just the two of us plus one other guest, which made it feel really personal and relaxed. There was lots of great food and drinks throughout the tour, and the conversation was just as enjoyable as the stops themselves. Hide was a wonderful guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. He made the whole experience feel fun and memorable. Highly recommend this tour!

This private tour was excellent. Our driver & guide “Tomi” was welcoming and professional. Although his English was limited, we communicated well with language translation software on our cell phones. All the places on the tour were beautiful and worth stopping for scenic photos. We had lunch at a recommended Japanese restaurant; the seafood and vegetable tempura were delicious. We definitely recommend this tour!

It's a very homey hands-on experience! Basically one-on-one which is the best. Taku-san was very knowledgeable about soba and it was fun to hear about soba culture vs udon culture. He's patient and encouraging in his guidance so it's easy to feel at ease under his tutelage! The soba itself was delicious (even more so since we made it ourselves) and a completely different experience compared to non-fresh soba noodles. You get to enjoy both cold soba and hot soba then you end off with Sobayu (the water in which soba was boiled in). We enjoyed the Ezo deer shabu shabu and the soba a lot, and would absolutely recommend this experience with Taku-san! :)

One of the best experiences on our trip to Hokkaido! The owners were extremely hospitable, friendly, and kind. The instruction to make the soba was thorough yet simple, filled with the history of soba in Japanese culture. It’s an incredible joy to eat the soba you prepared in their cozy restaurant along with some delicious tempura. Highly recommend this experience, guaranteed to be a pleasant surprise and a time to remember.

This was a lovely experience. We were picked up from our hotel and driven to a spot near Jozankai Onsen. We biked into the village, stopping along the way to get a closer look at the Onsen and other points of interest. Then we visited an Onsen that had both an indoor and outdoor section. It was wonderful to sit outside in the warm water. Next was lunch, a delicious curry. Then back to the hotel. A really pleasant day.
