Awesome experience! Taku taught us about the culture of soba in Hokkaido and the region north of Tokyo. About the golden ratio between Hokkaido Buckwheat flour, Hokkaido flour to water mix. How to mix it properly, shape and roll it properly and the technique of consistent cutting. And then eating the sobe was a whole other experience in itself. We're very glad that we decided to book this class and highly recommend it.

Taku is very knowledgeable and helpful. I had a lot of fun making the soba noodles. When they were done Taku cooked them for me. They are both very friendly. We chatted while I ate the noodles, which were delicious. Highly recommend this experience!
Highly recommend this experience! From learning the history of soba in Japan, to the hands on making of the noodles itself and having the actual soba noodles prepared to eat, it was an awesome experience.
Excellent experience for the whole family!
Taku and his wife are the epitome of Japanese hospitality. Located about 20 minutes away from Sapporo Station by Taxi. We used the Go Taxi App. 1 hour includes history of soba, mixing soba flour and water by hand, rolling, and cutting by hand. The noodles are delicious and chewy. The soba sauce and soup are equally delicious. You can add on tempura if you’d like. Highly recommend this experience for the whole family.
Really fun experience! We had young children and Taku was super patient when guiding them, even with the big soba knife. The best part, tasting the delicious soba with the soba noodle water. Will highly recommend this!
Awesome experience in making soba! The staff was incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and friendly!

This was a great time! The restaurant is just a short walk from the train station, so it is easy to reach. Get ready for a workout! Anybody that has worked in a kitchen for even a little while knows that working dough is tough to do. Taku-san took his time to explain the differences between the soba that they serve and the soba found elsewhere, and he patiently demonstrates the techniques used to create delicious soba. I would definitely recommend this to anybody traveling to Sapporo!
We had a great time!! We learned a lot and they were very positive and encouraging! The instructions were very clear and understandable. We will remember this for a long time!
Great experience with very engaging hosts!! Soba was delicious!! Recommend planning your transportation carefully and allowing sufficient time to arrive.
There was a good explanation about the history of soba (with just the right level of detail). He was a great teacher, explaining techniques fully and carefully, and letting us learn by doing - giving us room to make small mistakes that we could learn from. He was patient and pleasant. The resulting meal surpassed our expectations - we actually produced a quite-edible product, and they had the skills to make it delicious. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended session.
Great experience and very accommodating. We messed up the time and Taku was very nice to take us in. Really appreciate it. The soba making was fun and the final product was delicious. Make sure to get the tempura and duck soup.
Learn to make buckwheat noodles from scratch. Pick a tempura (at extra cost) to eat with your noodles.
Nice, friendly couple running the shop.
Had a wonderful time experiencing Soba making. The location is easy to find and we had a lot of fun.
There are improvements needed, for example, the Soba Master can introduce more of himself of how he gained the experience over the years and have a sample of his soba for us to taste.
Overall, we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Thanks for the review. I understand what you thought. I've never had anyone say that to me before, and I was only thinking of the customer's experience as my first priority. I will make an effort to add courses with demonstrations in the future so that we can offer a more complete Japanese dining experience. Thank you.
We are very happy to have booked the soba experience and could spend a rainy afternoon with Taku. He explained a lot about soba and shared his experience with the recipe. It was a nice family activity with eating the delicious soba and tempura vegetable and shrimps.
We had a wonderful and educational experience - it was great to get our hands involved in the entire process and start from scratch. Taku was an excellent teacher and the final meal was delicious.
This making-soba experience is so much fun. My family enjoyed it so much. Especially the dinner afterward of our own made soba. It got even better with the addition of tempura n kakiage. 🤪 The teacher is very skillful in soba making and also very patient in teaching us. It was definitely worth trying. 👍👌
Really fun experience, the teacher was really friendly and was very patient with teaching me and my friend. It was really cool to be able to eat the soba we made on the spot! Highly recommended activity to do in Hokkaido
We had the best experience making Soba noodles in Sapporo. Our instructor was very diligent, funny and welcoming. The Soba noodles were really yummy and we ordered tempura veggies in top, which were divine. Definitely recommended!
Very enjoyable experience with our family, learning how to make soba noodles from scratch. We now have a greater appreciation for those who make them everyday. The noodles were delicious as well!
Booked the experience a day before, and the owner of the soba shop was really kind and fun. We made the soba by hand and enjoyed it afterwards. I recommend ordering additional tempura as it was really delicious to eat with the soba.
Highly recommend this activity
The hosts were very nice, and were great with my son. Was a good, authentic Japanese experience. We would do it again.
Address given was wrong - and we were only made aware when hotel staff tried to call venue to verify the address - which will take more than 30mins from where we were by cab. In the end, we gave up and did not carry out the activity. This is very disappointing and Viator should really look at updating the address provided in the confirmation.
Foi uma experiência sensacional.
Aprender a fazer o sobá e depois comer o sobá que nós mesmo preparamos.
Uma delícia!!
Recomendo a todos.
