What are people saying about Sapporo
Nalditya_K, Mar 2026
lots of places to see
The guide Jay contacted me the day before on which bus stop on sapporo station to meet, communication was great. The tour was done in both mandarin and english. We had only 10 people in a small bus that could carry maybe 20, so we could disperse seating. The seat width and legroom is small but enough for me but if there are more people or you are bigger might be an issue. Bring cash. The stops could be longer at hell’s valley or Toya panoramic but that’s the reality of group tours. We ended up bailing out in Otaru because there was a lot to see there and caught a train back to Sapporo which was an option.

Magical experience
I had an amazing snowshoeing experience with Chris. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, which made me feel completely safe throughout the trip. Everything was well organized, and the meeting instructions were very clear. Chris guided me through beautiful routes with truly magical and peaceful views. If you’re lucky, you might even see wildlife like deer, foxes, and birds, which made the experience even more special.
Chris was also very respectful and thoughtful. Knowing that I’m Muslim, he made sure to provide snacks that didn’t contain pork or alcohol, which I really appreciated. When I wasn’t comfortable going to the onsen, he kindly offered an alternative plan and took me to a frozen lake near Sapporo instead. Walking on the frozen lake was something I had always wanted to experience, and seeing people camping there made it even more memorable.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience that I highly recommend

A ‘must-do’ excursion in Sapporo
I had a great evening out with delicious food and drinks and Kay was a fantastic guide! The variety of izakayas we visited made for a varied evening with lots to eat. We all had such a good time that we carried on to several other bars after the tour until well after midnight! Sapporo is a very safe city and it’s no problem walking around late at night. Thanks to Kay for making a really memorable evening.

Well worth it soba class
Awesome experience! Taku taught us about the culture of soba in Hokkaido and the region north of Tokyo. About the golden ratio between Hokkaido Buckwheat flour, Hokkaido flour to water mix. How to mix it properly, shape and roll it properly and the technique of consistent cutting. And then eating the sobe was a whole other experience in itself. We're very glad that we decided to book this class and highly recommend it.

Great value, engaging for kids
Incredible experience from start to finish! We felt so welcomed upon arrival, had a robust meal of hot pot, bento, and soup! Mochi, the host, was sweet as her name! The show was interactive and entertaining. We laughed and smiled throughout and was engaging for a 3-year-old. They sent us home with fresh mochi, a printed photo, and some other goodies. Totally recommend!

Fun Day Great Sights
Got to see some pretty spectacular sights on a snowy day - a zoo covered in snow, a waterfall, lake and artisans at work. Tomi our guide and driver did a fantastic job making sure we were comfortable and beautifully navigated the snowy roads and road closures.

Add this to your itinerary!
One of the best experiences on our trip to Hokkaido! The owners were extremely hospitable, friendly, and kind. The instruction to make the soba was thorough yet simple, filled with the history of soba in Japanese culture. It’s an incredible joy to eat the soba you prepared in their cozy restaurant along with some delicious tempura. Highly recommend this experience, guaranteed to be a pleasant surprise and a time to remember.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent 1-Day Furano & Biei Private Car Trip
We had a wonderful one-day trip to Furano and Biei and chose the first itinerary option, which was very well planned and comfortable.
Our driver Andrew picked us up directly from Hotel Mystays Sapporo Aspen right on time and dropped us back at the hotel at the end of the day, making the entire trip completely hassle-free, especially as we were traveling as a family.
Andrew was very patient, friendly, and professional. He waited for us at every stop without rushing and also shared helpful suggestions on nearby places to visit, along with recommendations for his favorite local restaurant, which added a nice personal touch to the trip.
The itinerary was well paced and covered all the key highlights:
Farm Tomita
Furano Marche (lunch stop)
Shikisai no Oka
Blue Pond
Shirahige Waterfall
The private car was clean and comfortable, and the overall experience was smooth and well organized.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hokkaido, especially families or those looking for a relaxed and flexible sightseeing experience. 😊

Ryo (Leo) was an awesome guide and really customized the tour to what I was interested in! We saw so much of Sapporo, and it was great to get a sense of the city from his perspective, having lived here for many years. Even outside of the tour, Ryo provided some wonderful recommendations for the rest of my time in Sapporo and other cities I would be visiting in Japan. I was a solo traveler, and it felt like having one of my friends show me around his city!

Spectacular Fall Visit to Hokkaido
We thank our driver, Yuuki San, for providing perfect weather for our day trip through Hokkaido! The trip opened our eyes to the size of Hokkaido and how different it is compared to other places we have visited in Japan. Yuuki San is an excellent driver, very safe and professional. We appreciated that he took frequent breaks from the long drive, was accommodating and was attentive to our wishes. As a bonus, he took us to a soup curry restaurant for lunch that was oishii, and we are grateful for the beautiful photos he took that will serve as a lovely memory of our trip!! He is working on his English so we hope to see his improvements the next time we visit. Thank you to Megumi San, for coordinating our itinerary and for being so responsive to our requests! We had a wonderful time!

Roy Aoki was very knowledgeable about Sapporo and helped me plan a custom trip suited to my needs. We were able to walk around Sapporo in refreshing weather, visiting the Sapporo Beer Museum, Tower 38 Observatory, Odori Park among others.
The tour guide Roy Aoki also spoke excellent English and we were able to discuss many things about Sapporo

Very happy I booked this trip
I booked this trip because I wanted to see Jigokudani. But Lake Toya was so beautiful, when we had some extra time I was able to see Lake Shikotsu as well. Cape chikyu was super beautiful as well. My driver Ms. kishimoto found a hidden, nice restaurant for me for lunch . Overall I had a great time. Very happy I booked this trip.
