This class is an interactive and hands-on cooking class where everyone participate to make the meals and learn about traditional food. So expect to learn some hands on tips and tricks and have a lot of fun! It is not only a cooking class. Lorenza uses fresh, local and seasonal ingredients to cook traditional meals, using family recipes. Her goal is to share more about Oaxacan food, culture and culinary traditions with the world. Lorenza has been cooking for 20 plus years and is excited to share her passion and knowledge with all! Lorenza will explain the menu for the day and the dishes you will be cooking together, before start preparing an appetizer, soup and main dish. I am Enrique Montaño Oaxacan cook and I will take you first to the market to know some ingredients of Oaxacan cuisine, and there we choose the menu, we can find some dried chillies and toast them in the comal to prepare some mole or sauce. You will also learn the technique to make tortillas to accompany the meal. I will share part of our traditions and on dates our food is consumed, both in a festivity or daily in which we enjoy a mezcal. Let me know if you have any allergies or restrictions.
