You'll visit the village of Arrazola and meet a family of artisans who have been making alebrije folk art sculptures for decades. Engraving in Oaxaca is a very popular artistic technique, which is characterized by its incursion into street art. In our workshop you will learn the basic skills for creating an engraving piece in a simple way and without prior experience. We will guide you throughout the entire process, giving you advice so that your result is good and so that you have a good time. Likewise, if you are already an artist you can experiment in the style of local artists. You can also learn about the historical and sociocultural context that influences the development of this artistic practice in Oaxaca and Mexico.

In this workshop they will practice collage from a sensitive and poetic approach, exploring the object, memory and perception through phenomenological exercises and guided creative processes. Throughout our career as a photographer we have learned from great photographers/people and we would like to share with you what we have learned and what has helped us so much to improve my vision and photography, tips that we will share with you and we will practice as we get to know each other and we will tell you a little about Oaxaca and its beautiful streets and people. We are sure that at the end of the experience you will be left with an immense desire to continue taking pictures and applying these tips since your photography will have improvised to the point that you will feel the need to take pictures with these new techniques.
