The Giethoorn Experience
Truly enjoyable experience made even better by our driver cum guide Anzi who made the difference.
The Giethoorn village is a wonderful place with it’s serene environment and the lovely boat ride really helped us explore the village well , appreciating it’s scenic beauty in a very natural setting.

Worth a day away from the city!
What a nice way to get outside the city and see some destinations that give you The Netherlands quintessential feel!! Erik was a knowledgeable guide with a great personality! He made the trip a lot of fun. He'll get you to the destinations before the big crowds roll in, take pictures for you and even carry your bags back to the van when you overshop and can't be weighed down while continuing to explore 😂 (and by explore, of course I mean shop). Being picked up from where you're staying was a really nice perk too. The time flew by and it's a great value!

A true storybook castle
The tour was excellent. The guide friendly and knowledgeable and willing to answer questions both specific about the castle but life in the Netherlands as well. It was a small group so you didn’t need to strain to hear the guide and you didn’t feel rushed to see everything. It was worth the money to see the beautiful castle and learn the history.

Erik did an amazing job...
Erik did an amazing job getting us to the different locations. He showed us a less busy canal route in Giethoorn, which was really appreciated due to the wind and number of people. His knowledge of the waterways there was above many, as he used to live there, and we saw several other boats crash/run into the sides of the canal. Great job overall!

Great tour with excellent guide
We had a great time on this tour with our guide Leidse. It is a small group tour (8 ppl) and includes hotel pick up, which is rare nowadays. Our guide messaged the night before to confirm pick up times. All 3 sites we visited were very good and Leidse did a great job giving us an orientation of each place and then free time to explore on our own. He also gave really good tips for food. In Delft, we had an excellent lunch and the apple pie at Stadsbakker is the best in Amsterdam. In Hague, though it wasn't part of the tour, Leidse gave us extra time to visit the museum after I mentioned really wanting to see the paintings there. I think we got back a little late because of this, so I really appreciated his flexibility. Highly recommend this tour.

Almost a private tour of Amsterdam’s canals
Best canal cruise experience! If you don’t want to be on a crowded boat, if you don’t like scripted narrations or even worse, taped narrations, or if you want to be treated as a visitor and not like a commodity, and most importantly, if you want a truly up-close and personal Amsterdam canal experience with an Amsterdamer who cares about his city enough to give you both the highlights and the inside perspective of what life is like on these canals, let Captain Sebi take you on a private tour of the smaller, lesser known canals as well as treat you to fine wines, authentic Dutch snacks, and stories about Amsterdam through its canal system. You will relax on his beautiful 100 year old boat, enjoy canal vistas rarely seen by visitors, and you will delight in his incisive tales of Amsterdam and its history.

We went with This Is...
We went with This Is Holland Hop on Hop Off tour company. Very easy to find the meeting point In Amsterdam. Was easy to find them afterwards in a sea of tour buses. The gardens itself was phenomenal and wished we were there several days earlier but we were on a cruise.
I highly recommend going to the gardens.

A Belgian Gem
The Day Trip to Bruges was very good. While the bus ride might seem longer than a usual day excursion, what waits at the end is worth the ride.
Our Bus guide, “Claudia” was fun, knowledgeable and kept information free flowing.
Our, on the ground guide, “Alistair”, was equally as engaging as Claudia. Alistair added a bit of the flair which was entertaining.
After about 30 minutes, we left the tour and went out in search of the Church of Our Lady and Michelangelo’s Madonna (Michelangelo’s only sculpture to leave Italy in his lifetime).
The bus ride was worth seeing the sculpture and spending time sitting in its presence.
After the church, we stopped for lunch and a big bowl of mussels and a pint of Belgian beer…yum
And, of course there’s the Belgian chocolate. We went past the the Church of Our Lady, to a shop off the beaten path…be brave, go out and explore.

Outstanding Museum Experience in Amsterdam!
Our guide, Victoria, was excellent! She is incredibly knowledgeable about the museums, including: artists, individual works, and current exhibits. Victoria also speaks English which was very helpful for us. We had a great time with another lovely couple of travelers!

Most enjoyable and educated!
It was the greatest day. Our guidebooks clearly with a microtone presented the history of the country and people in a clear memorable manner. Each stop was well planned and represented the past and present. Excellent bus driver. We loved our trip it was the best mo ey we spent!

Book This Now
Eva's storytelling brought the past to life, painting a vivid picture of historical events against the backdrop of the locations themselves. Her narratives focused on individual stories of choice, bravery, and courage, highlighting the accounts of people who chose to resist rather than be swept away by the prevailing current of events.
The experience was deeply enhanced by the locations, which offered not only visual context but also a tangible connection to the past. Eva intimately shared her own family's personal journey, detailing their preparation for survival, the challenges of hiding, and their life after the war. This personal connection transformed the historical account from a simple story into a deeply moving and relatable human experience.
The tour also provided a powerful moment of reflection, showing what the one's destiny could have been if they hadn't made certain choices, while also paying solemn respects to those who were not as fortunate in their circumstances or fate.
What began as a simple online booking evolved into a pivotal moment of reflection on the past and present, not just as an individual but also for our entire small group. (Thank you Peter, Sharon, and Eva.) This was a truly unforgettable experience, and one that will never be forgotten.

Great Driver with a Wonderful Car!
Our driver (Hans) was very polite and helpful. His car was a beautiful Mercedes and he was an excellent driver. He had some interesting facts to tell us about Amsterdam during our trip and our drive to the hotel in the Museum Quarter was smooth and relaxing.
