What are people saying about Marrakech

Excellent flexible guide with sound advice for shopping in souks.
Mohomed Kareem was an excellent guide: knowledgable and accommodating to our needs. We were a little worried to start out with what seemed a rather gimmicky intro by a purveyor of spices and oils...but after that he showed us multiple excellent artifact, leather and rug and textile shops and helped us negotiate what felt like a good deal for a piece we are excited to have in our home. Would not hesitate to ask him to join us again in future when we have a better idea of items we want to source for a renovation project. Many thanks, Kareem!! :)

Learn to do a Tegime dish
A Moroccan cooking class which in the Medina. You go from the pickup location to the market to get the ingredients. Then you walk to a private house located in the Medina and cook a Tegime Dish. Ours was chicken tegime. Very simple, fun, would recommend!

Don’t miss this food tour!
We absolutely loved this food tour! It was originally planned for our first night which I recommend, however due to weather we had to change twice and the company was very accommodating and communicated quickly. The tour itself was wonderful. Our guide Mehdi was first class. He took us to places that only locals go, gave us lots of tips and information about the area and the food we were trying. He encouraged us to try different things out of our comfort zone which I also recommend. When in Rome! All of the food was delicious! We had treats and smoothies, juices, soups, breads, msemen with different fillings (sweet and savoury) baked egg/meat dishes, olives, bbq skewers, donuts, sheep’s head, cactus fruit, teas and special herbal drinks. The food you will try differs depending on the time of year the guide, etc. The 3 hours went by so fast and at 9pm we returned back to the main square feeling alive and excited to hang out for a while longer. This was a highlight on our trip. Don’t miss out!

Great food, great history, great people!
Great tour where we learned about the the medina history and sampled a variety of local foods, especially ones that are probably often overlooked by tourists due to not knowing what local morocan food can be. Rachid, our guide, was fun, had a lot of personality and even more knowledge to share with us.
The route was a nice long walk with well built in breaks. The walk weaved through the medina allowing us to see it's intricacies all while learning the history of the area and development of the food culture. The portions were generous and plenty and Rachid even catered to any of our requests and/or dietary restrictions.
I would go on this exact tour again and am proud ti recommend to my friends! Go with Rachid!

Beautiful tour and hike
Brilliant day out, the views are stunning in early April with the mountains in the background and the valleys full of yellow flowers. Picture spots, camel ride, simple breakfast of bread, dips and tea, the hike was the highlight (I would say for children ages 5+ as there are a few narrow paths, ridges and the finale is a crickety little plank 'bridge' to the waterfall). Our little boy (just turned 6) absolutely loved it! The lunch was brilliant as well and great value. We had lunch in a little cafe overlooking cherry blossom trees in Imlil (not by the river as some photos indicate).
Redouane, our guide, was polite and helpful, had a lot of info to share and was great overall!

Best food tour ever ☺️
Khaoula is a great tour guide. She took us to local eateries we wouldn’t have never found on our own. She brought us foods that are not found in the more touristy areas, and we also met the local shop owners. Every location she brought us to was a gem, and I would go to those locations again if given a chance.

Fab food tour
This was fab. My two boys, 18 and 14, love their food so this was the ultimate experience for them. Our guide Ali was excellent. Rather than the touristy main square, we tried local food in little out the way places. Perfect to do on our first night to get well orientated as well. Highly recommend

Very fun and informative
Yaya was out guide. He was very personable and a lot of fun. We had a large group of 18 and he made everyone feel welcome. The food we tried was tasty (except for the snails!) And interesting. He added stories and history of the food. We enjoyed him and his presentation very much.

Fantastic and Fun Experience, Definately Recommended!!
This was really one of the highlights of our holiday. Najla made us feel really welcome she is super knowledgeable and explained all about the herbs and spices we used and how best to introduce them into various dishes. We firstly went to the local market to select the herbs and meat (the chicken was so fresh it was still warm!!)
The whole experience was interactive and we were one of three couples in the class. We each took turns at preparing different elements of the starters and our main dish 'The Tagine', the food was fabulous. We have taken lots of ideas away with us to introduce to meals back in the UK and Najla even emailed us after the class with lots of recipes and information on all of the spices and marinades we used and prepared. Definately recommended!!

Loved everything about this!
Loved everything about this excursion. We started out sharing tea around a big table filled with jars of spices where our coordinator taught us about the spices used in Moroccan cuisine. We had the chance to smell them and learn of their origins. She explained about the traditional tagine, both the cookware and the meal. From there, we went to the cooking area, where we learned from the dada (female cook) how to make 3 traditional dishes. Everyone was so happy to be there and work with us, which made working in the kitchen pure joy. Finally, we sat in the dining room and were served the meal we just cooked. We highly recommend this excursion.

Perfect introduction to Moroccan cooking
We spent a lovely morning learning about Moroccan food and culture including tea with chef Yousef! Beautiful tastes and smells all round and great company. My partner and I were there on our own, so we’re paired up with a lovely bunch from Australia, NZ & Canada on our class. We made 3x tagines, 3x salads and some cous cous…and there was even surprise dessert ☺️ set in beautiful lush surroundings with a little farm at the back.
Highly recommended!

Amazing way to explore...
Amazing way to explore the Medina and get a taste for local cuisine! Being vegetarian I expected this to be a difficult experience but I was very wrong. There was many food options to accommodate any dietary requirements. With many stops along the way it was definitely worth more than its value. The guides were amazing and know all the right places to go!
