Fantastic food tour with something for everyone. It was so fun to try traditional Moroccan foods and treats! Mohammed was a wonderful guide. The tour ended with a relaxing dinner overlooking the square. Magical.

Yaya was out guide. He was very personable and a lot of fun. We had a large group of 18 and he made everyone feel welcome. The food we tried was tasty (except for the snails!) And interesting. He added stories and history of the food. We enjoyed him and his presentation very much.

Overview

Explore the tastes of Morocco on this approximately three hour guided tour that will let you sample all sorts of the tastes of Marrakech. You’ll wander through the medina with your guide and small group, tasting olives, dates, and much more. You’ll visit several food stalls and also be treated to kofta in the Djemaa el Fna market at the end. You’ll be nice and full by the end of this tour.

Not all of us were on his list even though we had confirmation 18 people in. Group that had max of 15 we started late but Ya Ya handled it with aplomb. Food was okay with a very big meal at the end. Cookie Olives Cookies Nuts Snails and broth Tomato soup, dates and pastry Moroccan pizza Herbalism shop Tanjia (beef)with olives lentils and tomato salad

Overall, it was a good tour with more than enough food tastings to satisfy most appetites. I thought that the stop at Bloty was nice, I would have preferred to sample other Moroccan cuisine items.

Absolutely fantastic food tour with Yaya. Started with sweets, olives, nuts, soup and breads, followed by a full Moroccan seated dinner of Lamb and salads. Yaya was funny, engaging, and knew Marrakech inside and out and gave us tips for things to do the next day. One of our best experiences in Morocco!

The guide never showed up and didn’t even bother to message me or reply to my messages. I’ve requested a full refund from Viator and three and a half hours later I haven’t received a reply.

Not Bad, But Not Memorable

We took this food tour in Marrakech on May 4th and, while it wasn’t bad, it also wasn’t anything special. After a week of exploring Morocco’s vibrant and diverse cuisine, this tour felt quite basic — mostly bread, a pastry, and a final dish that offered more bones than substance. The walk itself was standard and the guide, while polite, didn’t bring much energy or insight to the experience. To be fair, he had no hesitation finishing the last dish himself while we quietly contemplated whether there was more to come. All in all, it was fine — but if you’re looking for something that really dives into the depth and flavor of Moroccan food, you may want to look elsewhere.

Amazing street food tour. We gained lots of local knowledge about the way Moroccans eat, and the tour guide Benabadmohamed knows all the locals and best places to visit. It was welcome as the square can be slightly intimidating! Beautiful food and snacks with some wild cards like snail thrown in although you are not obliged to eat them !

For us, Tour guide “Ali” made the tour. He was so informative which enhanced a really super experience. We tried lots of different foods enroute culminating in a wonderful rooftop terrace dinner. Everything was inclusive with no hidden extras. A must do” in Marrakech.

Interesting but needs more spice

The first point was that we were forgot by our booked tour guide. Kudos to the other guide who came back to get us to join his party. The talks of the origin of the food were informative and interesting. The food itself was standard fair, personally I got more from the techniques and history of the food than the taste. We ended up with a fantastic view of the square to end our night. Overall an experience but I feel it could be more organised and a bit more flavour from the rich spices of Morocco.

Did the tour on our first night to Marrakech altogether 3 female friends. It was a great success and brilliant to do on our first day. The guide was great. He has immense knowledge of Marrakesh, not only did we get a good tour but also history of the city and he brought us around to hidden family gems in the suks tasting local foods from range of nuts, dates, sweet treats, fast food, local soup, traditional savoury pancakes and finished the tour off with dinner with traditional 3 different dishes of Moroccan tagine. It was a great first evening spent. A great taster in to what Moroccan food has to offer. Would highly recommend!!!

The way to experience the Marrakech Médina

Being in the Médina at night is a MUST...during the day, it feels just like the typical tourist spot, crowded and lots of merchants trying to sell you something. But at night??? The Médina is magical! Add a guide that takes you around to try different foods, and you have the perfect tour. The guide was great. Spoke great English. Great walking tour with info about Moroccan culture too. Got to try different things beyond tajine and couscous.

War sehr spannend! Hatte mehr street food erwartet aber trotzdem toll, der Guide war super aber zum Glück wurden wir gewarnt am Anfang nicht zu viel zu essen damit wir nicht so voll sind. Die erste Station war gleich mega viel Teig und wir haben nur die Hälfte davon gegessen ;-) trotzdem waren wir bis zum Ende mega satt!

La actividad duró 2h y media ( en la descripción hablaba de 3h). Pagar 100e en Marrakech da para mucho y lo que comimos son 3 tipos de olivas, 3 pastas dulces, una tapa de caracoles y la cena tipica (lo wue mas valió la pena). El guia no explicaba absolutamente nada, solo respondía lo que se les preguntaba y a veces solo con monisilabos. No lo recomendamos
