Not to be missed!

Had a chance to spend the afternoon on a four hour ride around the lake with Stefano. It was truly spectacular. From the charming history of the lake to the insight only a 5th generation resident can share, we had the best of times. Really, 4 hours was about right. We could have rushed to see the whole lake in three with simple drive-bys but the depth and friendship was built with time. Thank you to Hercules (company) and Stefano, our wonderful Captain!

Perfect way to see it all… Como, Bellagio, and Lugano! Bus was clean and air conditioned (however, no wifi as promised in the description, and no apertivo; water for purchase only). The stops were just enough time to venture out and make it your own. Our guide was enthusiastic, cheerful, and darling!

wonderful trip to Lake Como

My daughter and I had a wonderful time on this one day tour of Lake Como. The group size was perfect (less than 15).I really enjoyed taking the train and ferries. Our guide, Andy, was fantastic. He met us in front of the Centrale train station and led us to our seats on the first class section of the train. From there we took an approximately one hour train ride to a very pretty (and bustling with tourists) town on Lake Como. The views were spectacular and we had plenty of time to ourselves. We then took a ferry to another town that was also very busy. From there we took another faster boat to a quieter town on the lake. After that we took the train back to Milan. I liked that Andy gave us excellent suggestions where to eat and options regarding what to do in each town. He then went to stand in line to get our tickets for the next leg of our journey while we headed out to explore. I loved having the option to climb many steps and walk to different parts of each town, or to rest and have some food at a restaurant. I loved this tour and highly recommend it. We loved this! It was great to get closer to the famous villas and hear about them from our guide. All well organised. Note the 1 hour cruise doesn’t go up as far as Bellagio and Barbianello (too far for that timing), but we saw other interesting sights and it was lovely being on the water. It was perfect timing for our family (9 year old son).

Great tour!

Very easy to find driver, he called to let me know where to find him. The boat was gorgeous, the driver was insightful and engaging. The bubbles was offered 35 mins into the hours trip so between two it was a lot to get through, we managed it. The cups given to drink the bubbles were plastic pint cups, not ideal when is such a stunning location but a small issue really!

A Highlight of Our Entire Italy Trip

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Without a doubt, this was the best boat tour we have ever done. My family and I had an incredible experience, and a huge part of that was Matteo. He was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about Lake Como, its history, and the beautiful villas along the shore, but he was also one of the kindest and most welcoming guides we’ve ever met. My mother had actually never been on a boat before, and Matteo made her feel completely comfortable and at ease. He was patient, friendly, and genuinely cared that everyone was having a great time. We also had a few transportation issues and arrived later than planned. Despite our delays and all the back-and-forth communication, Matteo was unbelievably understanding, flexible, and accommodating. He treated us with so much kindness and patience, which we appreciated more than he knows. The scenery was breathtaking, the boat was beautiful, and Matteo’s passion for what he does truly made the experience special. It never felt rushed, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable time. Out of all the tours we have done during our travels, this was our favorite.
