Leave La Fortuna and head toward the river, passing through the charming towns of El Tanque, Los Ángeles, and La Vega. Along the way, make a stop at El Molino, where you'll have the chance to visit a local fruit stand and try some delicious and colorful seasonal fruits. Arrive at the River, a perfect spot for enjoying nature and spotting a variety of birds, insects, and reptiles. Change clothes if you wish, and receive the necessary gear and safety instructions before starting the adventure. Spend about 1 hour and 30 minutes on the river. At the end of the route, take a break to refresh and enjoy some fresh fruit. After that, rinse off and change into dry clothes if you'd like, while the equipment is packed up. Quintessential Costa Rica...

Quintessential Costa Rica experience. Our guide, Donald, loves what he does, that is clear. It was POURING for the first 1.5 hours of the experience, we were soaked to the bone despite rain jackets and umbrellas (as they say, “don’t come to the rainforest if you don’t wanna get wet!”). But then the rain started clearing up and it’s like all the animals put on a show for us. We saw a fur-de-lance snake, a jumping viper, an eyelash viper, several species of cool frogs, capuchin monkeys, 1 howler monkey, large butterflies and more. You cannot do this experience without a guide. Highly recommend.

We had such a great experience ziplining! Victor and his friends were extremely helpful, patient, and accommodating throughout the entire experience, even when we definitely didn’t make it easy for them 😂. Our guide, Able, was absolutely amazing! He had an incredible amount of knowledge about the area, plantations, and wildlife, and shared so many interesting insights with us throughout the trip. At times, we even noticed other guides following him, which says a lot about his expertise! I would definitely recommend Able to anyone visiting the area, and I would absolutely choose him again on my next trip.

This was a really great...

This was a really great tour. The guide really wanted to make sure we got the most out of our experience. He kept his eyes open for wildlife to see on the way, and shared a lot of really interesting and important history about Costa Rica with us. The hikes are relatively short, but there are a lot of steps up and down to the waterfall and the volcano path is fairly steep, so be prepared. The lunch was really good, and the hot springs at the end was a nice way to relax after a long day in the sun.

Very enjoyable tour with a knowledgeable guide. This is not a large plantation of coffee or coco, but a smaller representation of one (still good size). I enjoyed the coffee tasting, and have a much better understanding on the bean, processing, and grinding. Chocolate was also a great process - from the pod to final product, with taste tests off different chocolate types. Shuttle pick-up and drop-off were right on time. Overall the tour was a bit expensive for the duration, but I am glad I went.

It was a beautiful walk...

It was a beautiful walk and the bridges were fun. We went during rainy season and without a guide so we only saw one monkey, one frog, and some beautiful butterflies. Without a guide I wouldn't expect to see much, especially if you move quickly. We took our time and took everything in. Lots of rain so I am assuming the animals were seeking cover. I still think the views are worth it and you can take your time and enjoy it all.

A Wonderful Tour!

Our guide, Miller, was incredibly knowledgeable about not only the sloths and monkeys - which we saw plenty of! - but also the flora and fauna of the farm. Our walk along the wooded trail was paced well and very peaceful. We were shown frogs, plants, trees, insects, and of course the sloths and howler monkeys! There were great views of Arenal! What an enchanting property to visit! I'm grateful for the owners for running such a lovely tour and for allowing us to spend time in this beautiful space - thank you! Miller and his co-host, Derrick, were both fantastic, and the nice young woman who checked us into our tour was so kind and let us try sugar cane! Thank you all for everything! We are so glad we chose this tour out of all the offerings 💗🦥✨🌅

A Highlight of Our Costa Rica Trip!

Our family of four (with two boys, ages 11 and 13) had an amazing time canyoning! Our guides—Jose, Kendall, Ronald, and Elder—were fantastic. They made the experience fun while always making sure everyone felt safe and confident. My boys absolutely loved it and were eager to go first on many of the rappels and jumps. The guides did a great job encouraging everyone while keeping the atmosphere fun and relaxed. The scenery was beautiful, the rappels were exciting, and the entire trip was well organized from start to finish.

Amazing and strenuous hiking/Rapelling adventure

The hike is no joke! It had been raining so don't wear shoes you care about because you can't avoid the mud and I can tell you from experience make sure they are good shoes cause mine came off while Rapelling so I chose not to do the big one at the end but my daughter did and I got to watch her and video it from above. It was an amazing time though and the guide Grey was absolutely wonderful and attentive (especially to me being mama)!! The food at the end was the best we had the whole trip!!!

Fun experience on ATVs!

The guides were great - very patient with all of us and especially helpful when I fell (twice! - both my fault) and needed to finish the ride on the back of our leader’s ATV. Communication before the ride in regards to where we would meet up was also very clear and helpful. Would recommend Original Arenal ATV to all looking for an adventure.

Beautiful and Unique Views!

I really enjoyed this experience, I would say if you are an experienced rider seeking thrills this may slightly let you down. It’s more geared towards all experience levels but the journey and views are incredible. You definitely get your money’s worth in the length of the journey and amount of sites.
