What an incredible experience visiting the Tian Tan Big Buddha! The cable car ride up to Ngong Ping was breathtaking, and standing in front of this massive bronze statue was truly awe-inspiring. We also explored the beautiful Po Lin Monastery and took a peaceful boat ride through Tai O fishing village. An excellent way to learn more about the culture and rural character of Hong Kong.

Communication before the trip was excellent with all the information needed to know when and where to meet. On the day, our guide Michael was very personable and knowledge. He gave us just right the amount of information - enough to give us background to what we were seeing but not so much we got overwhelmed. He was a clear communicator and could answer questions, so he wasn’t just reciting rote information. He managed the group well, giving clear instructions and continually checking to see that we were together and each person was OK. The weather meant a change to the original tour but he managed that “on the hop” without any fuss, and we all still had a great time. The tour had a good mix of more commercial and more personal places, and included taxis, buses and a boat, so lots of variety.

If you just want a chilled 40 mins cruise, then go for it... nothing exceptional.. The staff was nice and made sure everyone was comfortable... offer to take pictures too if needed. They offered to drop off at central instead of going back to the starting point, that was nice so I didn't have to take the ferry back to central.

Good tour. It covers many different items. A long ride back and forth on the cable car with beautiful views, boat ride in the canals of the fishing village, an impressive monastery and shrines and climbing 268 steps to see the giant Buddha. A long hot day, but really worth the effort. Highly recommend.

Hazel is the best guide!

Had a wonderful time on this tour with Hazel as our guide. We felt she really made the tour special, was very knowledgeable about the locations we stopped at and about Hong Kong’s rich history. The pacing of the tour was great and there were points at which we got to explore areas on our own to get those perfect photos or get water or a souvenir. We were happily surprised to find that even on a weekend day, we were in a small group of four, which made the tour feel more intimate and we literally got all of our questions answered. A terrific experience

We traveled 2 couples getting off a cruise ship for the day. Communication with Viator and was AMAZING from booking onward. Once Ricky was assigned as our driver we were in contact from the day before, making us feel very comfortable. Ricky was knowledgeable and took us on a fantastic day.
