What are people saying about Hawaii

Best tour and tour guide!
Definitely a must do on Maui. Despite the long drive, it was 100% worth it and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting. Our driver Marty was extremely knowledgeable and knew all the best places to stop. We definitely recommend taking the tour rather than driving yourself.

Jeff was a super...
Jeff was a super knowledgeable tour guide. Everything was super tight. From the pickup time. To the timing of breakfast and the drop off. Very well run. And of course the experience is one I’ll never forget. Dress warmer than you think. It’s freezing on top of the mountain!

A Must Do!
We so enjoyed our tour! Our guide was top notch!!! There wasn't much silence during our tour which we loved & appreciated - our guide was so personable, friendly and professional - sharing Hawaiian history/culture, facts, personal family stories or just checking in on everyone to make sure we were surviving the curves. Each stop we were informed of how much time we had and the time allotted was perfect. We never felt like we wanted/needed more time and the longer stops never felt too long or that we were ready to move on to the next destination. The only negative we can say if that one main reason why we picked this specific tour/company is because they advertised stopping at a farm-to-table lunch offering personal fired pizza vs a deli sandwich like several other companies, but unfortunately the place updated their menu and was no longer serving the pizza. The food was still very good but made for a hard choice for our picky eater. We know that has nothing to do with the tour company though a heads up prior to our tour would've been good. It was definitely memorable time, and we understand fully why it's on the "must do" list when visiting Maui.

Mauna Kea—celestial experience!
This is an experience that cannot be missed! Seeing the sunset atop Mauna Kea, considered the tallest mountain in the world, literally above the clouds, is truly one of a kind. The landscape itself is otherworldly. When people say it looks like another planet, they aren’t lying. It’s how I imagine Mars would look!
After sunset, we gathered under the clear night sky and gazed at the thousands of stars dotting the vast darkness. Coming from a big city, I have never seen a night sky with that many stars—and shooting stars too! It was absolutely surreal!
Our guides, John and Chris, were awesome and made the experience even more memorable. They showed us the constellations and had a telescope that allowed us to see celestial objects I had only ever seen in pictures. Holy smokes! What I saw through that telescope was spectacular! Seeing nebulae and distant stars with my own eyes gave me an entirely different appreciation for the sheer scale of the universe.
And somehow, one of my favorite little details was enjoying hot cocoa while stargazing. There was something wonderfully cozy about holding a warm cup of cocoa while peering into the vastness of a cosmos so far beyond our ability to fully comprehend. You feel incredibly small looking out into that immensity, yet at the same time, the warmth of the cocoa makes you feel grounded and present in that exact moment.
More than anything, though, this was a deeply spiritual experience for me. Mauna Kea is sacred in Native Hawaiian culture, and standing there, I could appreciate why this mountain has held such profound significance for generations. You feel so close to the celestial heavens when you’re there. The experience also gave me an even greater appreciation for the extraordinary astronomical and navigational knowledge of Native Hawaiians and other Polynesian voyagers. Just wow.
Between the sunset above the clouds, the otherworldly landscape, the incredible night sky, the telescope, the shooting stars, the hot cocoa, and our fantastic guides, this was an unforgettable experience from beginning to end. I feel incredibly grateful and fortunate to have experienced Mauna Kea in this way.

Being on top of Mauna Kea...
Being on top of Mauna Kea was an incredible experience! Stargazing with such minimal light pollution and seeing the Milky Way was unforgettable. Wes, our tour guide, was a great driver and I'm glad we didn't attempt to do this on our own. 10/10 would recommend this experience.

Unique Experience
Unique experience. Yes, you get up in the mid of the night but worth it. Our driver also did a Hawai’i prayer at sunrise for us. The breakfast was much bigger than expected and a nice location. Just remember it is very cold at the top. Make sure you bring a jacket plus layers.

Our tour guide, Aaron,...
Our tour guide, Aaron, was an absolute pleasure to spend time with. He’s remarkably knowledgeable, weaving together history, local culture, geography, and even astronomy into every stop along the way. Listening to him felt like watching a beautifully produced National Geographic documentary; his command of language and pacing was masterful, each story flowing seamlessly into the next. He even paired his narration with background music, adding a wonderfully immersive touch to the whole experience. Genuinely one of the most engaging and enjoyable guides we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

A long day of beautiful views!
We were picked up at our hotel at 6 am and didn't return until 6 pm. We stopped many times at bathroom facilities. Bring your breakfast; one of the first stops is a nice place to eat. Our tour guide, Chris, was excellent. Very knowledgeable and stopped at numerous places to take photos, have a great lunch (sandwiches, water) and swim in turquoise waters. Know that you'll be in the mini-van for a good part of the day and getting in and out many times. We stopped at waterfalls, black sand beaches and lookouts during the day. He pointed out all the sights at each stop. There are snacks on the way back. I do recommend you bring a water bottle with you to drink while in the van.
Do not attempt to drive the road to Hana yourself. It is a twisting, winding, mountainous road with many one-land bridges. Fabulous excursion!
Since this is a long day, I recommend you eat dinner at your hotel afterwards!

Escape to the North Shore!
Great day had by all! We were a party of 8 - adults and teens! Sam - our driver- was right on time- very friendly and knowledgeable! He used a microphone so everyone can hear fun facts about the island! Perfect snorkeling, food options, kayak, SUP, and North Shore shopping. The kids said it was their favorite day! Going through the rainforest was cool too- the mountains were amazing!
The van was clean, and reliable. Would highly recommend this for all. Must do!
Pro tip: Bring water shoes!

Best Ever Viator trip!
Our Road to Hana with Gayle & helicopter return with Herb was outstanding! We have traveled many places and regularly use Viator tours. This tour beat them all! Gayle was not only a wealth of knowledge about Hana history and plant life, but she was a living example of embracing the culture. Our helicopter trip could not have been more smooth with Herb…and the views breathtaking. Do IT…you’ll never regret this one.

Book the flight!
The best experience, almost had to cancel because of the weather early AM but the team was accommodating and told me that I could wait and do a flight later in the day. Worth every penny, sights you can only see by helicopter. Our pilot was amazing, very knowledgeable about the island. Smooth ride besides alittle bumps here and there from the wind (to be expected). Got proposed to after the helicopter and an unforgettable experience. If you're thinking about booking, do it!

Great day out
Very interesting full circle island tour.
Getting out and seeing more of the island and learning more of island life and hawaii history and culture was great. Ian was a very friendly and professional guide, I would definitely recommend this tour and guide.
