Absolutely worthwhile, extremely good value adventure among Ha Long Bay’s gorgeous islets

Absolutely worthwhile, extremely good value adventure among Ha Long Bay’s gorgeous islets. The 3 stops included kayaking through a cave to an enclosed area with monkeys (row boats available for people with less energy), a guided walk through Surprise Cave and then Titop Island where you can either walk to the viewpoint (about 100m up, lots of steps) to enjoy fabulous views or chill on the beach. The tour itself was very well organized. Our home base was the boat Vera Cruise where we were served a delicious lunch as we left the cruise terminal. Staff were available at all times; beyond the included lunch there was a comprehensive beverage menu. Our guide Quan was great and kept us on track time-wise. The day we went was unusually crowed due to 2 big ships in town that day and the weather was overcast/hazy but we still had a fantastic time.

Wonderful

Nancy was amazing from start to finish. She guided us through the DMZ and shared so much history in a way that was easy to follow and actually engaging. You can tell she really cares about what she does. She was also incredibly kind, patient, and just overall pleasant to be around, which made the whole experience even better. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone visiting.

What a wonderful and memorable DMZ tour. Emily, our tour guide, was very attentive and gave us truly meaningful insight to a sad history of the division of the Korean nation. The tour was very well organized and everything went smoothly and adhered to the schedule. It is a definitely a must to do experience as the access to the DMZ zone is restricted.

Kid-friendly DMZ Tour With Chloe

We were a couple with a 5 year old and did a half-day DMZ tour starting at 9 am with Chloe, who was spectacular, organized, informative, and so so friendly! We were afraid it would be difficult with a little one, but all aspects of the tour were well-planned and went smoothly. There was just the right amount of activity and rest woven into the day, with a half hour for snacks/lunch and various cafes along the way. Itinerary was about 1.5 hours driving each way with 3 stops (Peace Park, Observatory, Tunnel) and time to self-explore in each place. Highly recommend!

Excellent Tour with Vincent

I traveled with my parents, sister, and niece, and we had a great experience on our tour with Vincent. He was very knowledgeable about the Korean War and provided valuable context for all the sites we visited, which made the experience much more meaningful. Vincent communicated everything clearly in advance, including pickup details, meeting times, and what to expect throughout the tour. Since pickup was early at 7:00 AM, it was a bit difficult for my family to grab breakfast, but he gave us a heads-up so we were able to prepare snacks and eat beforehand. We understood that the schedule was tight and that there would be limited access to restaurants. We really enjoyed the tour overall. We chose not to do the suspension bridge due to my parents’ age and physical limitations, but we found a nearby wax museum that we enjoyed instead. My parents did attempt the tunnel, which involves a steep incline on the way back up. Just a heads up: this part can be physically challenging. My parents struggled but managed to complete it. If you’re not comfortable with steep inclines, you may want to skip it. Overall, it was a well-organized and informative tour, and we appreciated Vincent’s guidance and communication throughout.

Lots of Hilly Walking but Worth the Time

Even if you are in good shape, the tunnel tour is a killer. Take water and be prepared (I saw someone wearing sandals today - yikes). Our guide, BJ, was incredible. If you are lucky enough to have him lead your tour, you are in for a treat. The 9+ hour day zoomed by because he was so much fun. Highly recommend this package.

We had a great time with...

We had a great time with Maria seeing the DMZ area. She was very engaging and spoke English. She gave us restaurant recommendations and lots of facts about Korea. Definitely recommend. We had our aged parents with us, so didn’t want to do a big group tour. Maria had a very nice/comfortable van. You still need to do the group bus once in DMZ area, only way to get in.

Highlight of my trip to Vietnam!

This has been the highlight of my trip so fsr! It really exceeded my expectations. The Athena boat was great, especially for just a one night cruise. Its smaller size allowed for passengers to become a family and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was of high quality and presented well and the sightseeing although it seems confusing worked well. The entire trip from start to finish including the pick up and drop off was 100% smooth! Highly recommended!

Easy and beautiful

We had a great experience in Halong Bay. The bay is beautiful, and well worth the 3 hour drive from Hanoi. We were on the Sea Coral, and the crew was well organized and accommodating. The room size was huge allowing space for the kids to play, and food was great with options for both kids and adults. Planning was easy with coordination through messenger for transportation to/from the port. We highly recommend this experience.

Great way to see ha long bay.

Well organized tour lasting about 24 hours. The staff worked really hard to make everything go seamlessly. They give you an itinerary right at the very start and stick to it throughout the time. The staff were very pleasant and service oriented. The facilities were good just as they look in the photos. The food was great, the scenery speaks for itself, and the boating/kayaking/swimming/cooking class, etc.. were all good things to keep you occupied. There were small just sufficient breaks so it didn't feel rushed. I also enjoyed meeting other travelers in a setting that was small enough <50 passengers, that you got to talk to people if you wanted to do so.

Above my expectations

Fabulous day. The catamaran was very comfortable with loads of space. The sofa and chairs were great for relaxing. There is a bar and a jacuzzi. Waterslides too, for those who like them. Most of all the guide Xin chào was excellent. He kept us well informed, ran the whole day very professionally. The food on board is also excellent. The coach transfer is comfortable.
