Our driver met us at the pier in Ha Long Bay. We drove two hours into Hanoi where our guide, Louis met us. We spent the full day exploring. Great cruise.

Great cruise overall. Very good communication and coordination on the day before cruise and through out the cruise. Pick up at hotel. No need to worry about navigation. The bamboo/kayak tour is kinda short and mostly out door. Can be very hot on sunny day. Bring swim suit because the swim session was nice way to cool down. They even have water bouncer and water slides. Only water and juice are free for certain time. Other drinks are for purchase. Not a lot of options for non alcohol drinks.

Fantastic day exploring a bit of Ha Long Bay

I was contacted the day before the tour by the guide, Phong and he let me know the exact pickup location and time. The driver, Chinh, was also great. I was solo traveling and a bit nervous since we were placed in groups of six for the lunch meal. However, Phong did a wonderful job at placing me in a fantastic group of similar travelers and I had a wonderful time, even though I was the only vegetarian. The meal was great and they were quite generous with the portions, and even gave me my own. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness. Phong was a great guide and kept everything on time. He was very kind and offered explanations of a variety of things, from cave formations to the day's schedule. It was a lovely day and a good activity for people with different abilities. You can skip the cave and relax on the boat if you are not able to handle stairs. Instead of kayaking, they have a boat option where someone can paddle a group into the other cave system. The food was great, service was wonderful, the boat was very lovely and I am very thankful for the experience.

Very relaxing cruise....

Very relaxing cruise. Everything was well organized. The staff was receptive and helpful. Not one of the bigger boats, about 20 cabins or 40 people total. Buffet style lunch was good. The set menu for dinner was western and not as good though. Recommend upgrading to the executive cabin which was quite spacious with excellent views.

It's a must do activity if you are in Ha Noi

Wow, just wow. The landscape is incredible. I think that Vietnam is one of the most beautiful country and Halong Bay is a must do for all. The crews did exceptional job welcoming us and catered to our every needs. The cabin was little small but that is expected on a small ship. However, we could have easily spent a whole week on this boat. Tom and Jerry (Host and Manager who are also married) were great. They seemed genuinely enjoy their job. The restaurant manager, Long went out of his way to accomodate our needs. Exceptional service! Please keep in mind that they are all freelancers and depend on tips as majority of their income so please tip generously if they make your trip memoriable. I highly recommend this company.

Nice way to see ha long bay

Is quite busy 24 hours on the boat. Was slightly nervous as a solo traveler but was fine. Boat was nice. Excursions were enjoyable. Staff were excellent. Tony a great guide. Bus to/from Hanoi a bit chaotic. As expected they stop at a place both ways to allow businesses to sell you some rubbish. But that is expected on a tour. But would be better if they went straight there. But that just a minor point.

Tom (Cruise, haha, his English name) was the cruise manager with his wife as part of the crew. The hospitality and food on board was amazing. We enjoyed all of the activities (except Tip top island which was packed). Tom and his team was exceptional!

Excellent All Round Experience

We had an amazing 2D1N overnight experience with La Casta Cruise in Lan Ha Bay, and it was one of the absolute highlights of our Vietnam trip. If you’re looking for a luxury overnight cruise in Lan Ha Bay (quieter alternative to Halong Bay), La Casta is an excellent choice. The cabin was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, with a private balcony overlooking the limestone karsts. Waking up to the calm waters of Lan Ha Bay was unforgettable. The ship itself is modern, well-maintained, and feels premium without being overly flashy. The food was outstanding — fresh seafood, authentic Vietnamese dishes, and well-presented multi-course dinner. Breakfast and brunch were generous and delicious. Definitely above expectations for a cruise What truly stood out was the service. The crew was warm, professional, and attentive throughout the journey. Everything ran smoothly from pickup in Hanoi to drop-off. Lan Ha Bay itself felt less crowded than Halong Bay, which made the experience more serene and relaxing. Highly recommend La Casta Cruise for couples, families, or anyone wanting a comfortable and memorable overnight cruise in Northern Vietnam. Worth every bit.

Great place, great tour, great tour guide (Tam)

Tour is well organized and great value for money. Tam was an excellent tour guide and shared lots of knowledge about Vietname Language, History and Culture. First Island in Halong Bay on Day 1 was pretty crowded as expected but the cave visit afterwards was good. Sunset that night was picturesque and it was definetly worth staying overnight as the next morning it felt like we were the only boat out in the Bay which gave the whole scenery an amazing vibe. Pearl factory next morning was interesting and a bit of kajaking on top for those who like rounded up the overall experience. Tam also provided extra help in further organizing next steps of my trip.
