Food is to be experienced
Walking around Kyoto, getting to know good places to eat, experiencing food… is just one of the best ways to get to know a place, people and culture. Nishiki market, basement of Daimaru all offer a variety of food unimaginable!

Yuki was an excellent...
Yuki was an excellent tour guide and had a great sense of humor that helped propel the tour. I may have been the only person on today’s tour, but I can imagine that his approach would make larger groups feel similarly. The food was great and he was more than happy to stop at several stalls all along Nishiki Market.

Food Tour!
The Nishiki Market Tour is memorable and enjoyable. We were able to taste many dishes as we walked through the market. Our guide was informative, pleasant, and communicative. The directions to the meeting point were clear and accurate. We were able to locate our guide easily and promptly.

Great city, people, & food
We had a great time with the host and tour group walking the area around and inside Nishiki Market. I thought all the food was great and a couple of items (various pickles and a croquette) were some of the tastiest we’ve had so far in Tokyo or Kyoto. I can’t remember the guide’s name but he’s an architecture student and was extremely kind and informative and did a great job navigating a group around the busy Nishiki.
