There’s a good mix of walking and sightseeing from the van. Dress in layers depending on the weather. We didn’t get a lunch break - too much to see. There were a couple of places I wish we could have stopped but didn’t. Oh well. All in all a very good tour. It was a good use of time with only a couple of days in Helsinki.

Awesome tour, lots of history and sights, fun ferry ride to the island. Sanna was an excellent guide, making sure no one got lost in Finland. She provided current and historical details of all locations. It was a great tour that hit all the major points of Helsinki in an afternoon, thanks!

This was a great tour Harry and the driver met me at my hotel, and they were very excited to start the tour. They were both very knowledgeable about the city and enjoyed telling stories about the places that we visited. I enjoyed stopping by the Olympic stadium, as well as the beautiful art sculpture. We then went on a ferry ride over to the fortress. The fortress wasn’t exactly what I anticipated, but that was probably because it was very slippery and wasn’t as easy to get around. Harry was knowledgeable about the surroundings. My only complaint would be that Harry walked kind of fast so by time everybody caught up with him we missed some of the information or stories he was telling about the site. overall, this was a very interesting tour and I bet it’s amazing during the summertime.

Our tour guide was 40 minutes late to pick us up with no communication. He was an English/ Spanish speaking guide, but we felt he shared most information in Spanish and not much in English - we didn’t actually learn any valuable information, which was a shame for an expensive tour. However, Anna our tour guide at Suomenlinna was excellent! Although this was also a very rushed experience.

Not necessarily the most exciting thing for young children, but I enjoyed it. However, I enjoyed the the tour and my son begrudgingly admitted he liked our tour guide (Christina) and even some parts of the tour.

We had an enjoyable day exploring Helsinki in the morning by mini van. Our guide Tanja was very informative and gave us a very good understanding of the historical impact of the wars and alliances with countries to the development of Finland. We had a pleasant break at the museum for coffee, cake and restrooms before crossing on the ferry to the fortress Islands of Suomenlinna which was a very interesting community. We would have liked more time to explore these islands more leisurely to take in the beauty and historical significance. The 4 km walk over uneven cobble stone paths and along the coastline was tricky at times. Nonetheless, it was a very enjoyable day trip with a small tour group which made it more accessible for us all.

Enjoyed large bus used for our small group around sites of Helsinki. Christina, our tour guide, was organized and knew the history. Ferry to Suomenlinna was worth the trip and we enjoyed hearing the background history of the island.

I read some of the negative comments from past visitors, and I wanted to give it a try anyway. However, disappointing. The tour guide was very friendly, and it's clear that he is a nice person. Still, from the professional side (that I must mention because the tour is not cheap and there is a reason why we paid for it), I could also tell there were several gaps and a lack of knowledge about the places we visited, such as essential dates and almost no explanation about the sites. I was literally on my phone, googling what he did not know, which was nearly the entire tour. The guide almost forgot one of the group members when we were moving towards Suomenlinna, not being aware of the group he was managing, despite it being a small group of 8 people. I feel sorry, but the company MUST make improvements in providing knowledge and information to their guides first. They will likely fail hard otherwise in the future.

Very, very poor time management by the guide (Czar). He literally left ZERO time for lunch or even to grab a snack or bathroom break. We were immediately put on a ferry after our long walk after being promised time for lunch. The second tour guide then ignored the fact we missed lunch and did another 2 hours of walking with no break. Huge waste of money and did not learn much. STAY AWAY.

Great tour experience with a chill tour lead and wonderful fellow travelers. We were a small group so we enjoyed the tour at our pace. The fortress is beautiful and the island offer a nice escape from the city.

The tour operator changed the pickup location and luckily we just happened to be meeting a friend on the same tour so we found out about the change through him not the tour operator. It was a lot more walking than we anticipated too. It was an ok tour but anyone can take a ferry to the island no need for a tour…

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that parts of your experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.
Regarding the pickup location change, we sent a WhatsApp message on June 24th (two days before the tour) with the updated meeting point, time, and an explanation. The original location, Hotel Kämp, is currently under renovation, and many guests have had difficulty finding the entrance — which is why we moved the meeting point to Marski by Scandic for easier access and clarity.
We received a reply to our message stating "Nur deutsche schreiben" ("Only write in German"), which left us uncertain about your preferred language, especially as the tour was booked in English. Later, when you informed us by email that your friend had received the meeting details but you had not, we understood that the phone number provided may have belonged to your agent. We immediately re-sent the meeting information to ensure you were kept up to date.
Regarding the walking on the tour, we understand it may have been more than expected. As Suomenlinna is a historical site without sightseeing buses, walking is required to explore the area. We do aim to clearly describe the activity level in advance and will review our materials to ensure this is communicated more clearly.
Our tour is designed to provide added value through local insights, historical context, and expert commentary. However, we understand that different experiences appeal to different travelers.

Overall, a very positive experience, I enjoyed learning about the culture, history and conventions with my tour guide who was delightful. It was raining day but rains didn’t stop me from having fun.. I recognize not all wanted to hear about all the history but I did, I had to walk faster to catch up with the pace so I didn’t miss out any information. One suggestion is to walk a ittle slower so some elder folks can catch and the tour guide didn’t have to repeat what she said.

5 hour tour was moderate pace, plenty of walking to go with the bus and boat ride so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. Nice way to see a chunk of history about the city. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and easy to talk to while keeping the proper pace to get all of the sites in on time.

Harry our guide was very informative and due to the cathedral being closed to tourists & not knowing this prior, he was able to swing us towards some other buildings that weren’t necessarily normally part of the tour. He looked after us whilst walking around the town, getting on/off the ferry to the island and headed us in the direction of food for lunch prior to catching the ferry
The only minor negative comment I would have is that he didn’t get us together as a group at the end of the tour coming off the ferry so that we could say farewell to both he and other participants and thank him.
