Overview
Experience ice swimming in the winter without the shock and discomfort of getting really cold. Don a special survival suit that will keep you warm, dry, and safe. Learn about ice swimming, at-sea rescues, and the dangers of hypothermia from your guide, then spend around 90 minutes having fun swimming, floating, and jumping from floating ice rafts.

This was the MOST fun. Olli was so knowledgeable and a great guide. He made sure we were completely safe while we were on the ice. 10/10 experience. They give you extra socks, mittens, and sweaters. I was so warm in the suit it was almost too warm. I would definitely do this again! Highlight of our trip to Helsinki.

It’s fun! Do it!! Also relaxing and educational. Maeys is so knowledgeable. We felt safe with her at all times and she was so friendly. Definitely a must do while in Helsinki

Ollie was a wonderful guide and the experience was amazing! We all really enjoyed swimming in the icy Baltic Sea and really didn’t feel the cold. It was a unique experience that my family will hold dear in our memories!

We had a fabulous time! We had a nervous swimmer and someone very trepidatious about the cold in our group—and both had an excellent time! The crew really made all of us feel at ease, even on a pretty rugged day in terms of the weather and wind. The experience is totally unique—and something we did when stranded in Helsinki for an extra day due to cancelled flights—and it is now an unforgettable memory from our Great Nordic Adventure of New Years 2026! Highly recommend!

I went with my partner and 2 friends, and we all had the best time! It has definitely been the highlight of our trip to Helsinki so far. We had a fun afternoon doing this excursion! There was no ice because of how warm it was in Helsinki, but it was still a great time. Very knowledgeable hosts who kept it informative while still being exciting. You get warm wool socks and a warm wool sweater to put on but wear warm layers/socks to wear underneath! Have fun swimming around, floating, and jumping in!

We had a wonderful time - it is a bit pricey but where else can you have this experience. Karl? drove us to the floating hole and gave us lots of interesting information on Helsinki. The suits made sure we kept dry and warm while in the water and floating was really relaxing - I did have trouble getting into the water but they kindly gave me a push to get me in. Robert? and the rest of the team were very helpful and friendly - I'm glad we chose to do this.

The fact that I could float on 0 degrees water which weirdly did not turn to ice plus I felt like a survivor and you can feel completely safe as the guide will help you if you need help and instruct you to enter the water

Really enjoyed this unique experience. Leif was a great instructor and guide. We had plenty of time in the water and the survival suits did their job and kept us dry and warm enough. It was quite relaxing just floating among the ice!
