Top Faro Day Trips

Sinatra was exactly how I dreamed Portugal to be. The sights were beyond beautiful! This was our last day to have an excursion and, how i wish I'd known about this town sooner! Andre, our guide, was so knowledgeable and was such a gentleman to all the ladies that he would make his mama proud! It was great to see what Portugal was at one point in time. I pray the country can keep it's heritage alive. Thank you, Andre, for a great experience.

We really enjoyed this tour. Antonio was a great guide. This tour was exactly as it is described. I even received a personal email the day before giving me exact instructions on where to meet and asking if I had any questions about the tour that they could help with.

Our tour guide, Johnny was prompt in picking us up at the designated area and happily entertained us with historical anecdotes along the way to various stops. The first stop at Silves, we were instructed on how to reach the castle (entry was not included) and given an hour and 10 minutes to see it plus the surrounding town. The castle didn’t disappoint and the town had a quaint architecture. The town church was closed unfortunately as well as the museum. The second stop was the oceanside town of Lagos which was very impressive with its churches, fortress walls, colorful boats along the river canal, and quaint little streets filled with local restaurants and shops. Johnny took us to a small restaurant for lunch (not included in the tour price) which we paid 22 Euros per person for all you can drink (wine, juice, or sodas), bread, olives, cheese, prosciutto, a main dish (choice of chicken, fish, blacken pork or vegetarian dish) and a slice of cake for dessert. Well worth it and delicious. The last leg of our tour was Cape Saint Vincent (also known as the end of the world). The views were overwhelmingly astonishing. No pictures can do it justice. You have to experience it in person to comprehend it’s majestic beauty. Definitely recommend this tour although it didn’t include costs of castle entry and lunch (costs approximately 28 Euros in total).

It’s a bit of a drive from Faro. The cave tour is short but you see a lot in that time. The beach is so beautiful I don’t have words to describe it. It was a terrific day but I would have liked another hour or so to enjoy the area. Sebastian , the guide, was very personable and his transport was comfortable.

What a day we had, the trip from start to finish was fabulous 👌, great time schedule through out the day. Jonny our driver and tour guide kept us entertained with his humour and wealth of knowledge. We took some beautiful photos at our different stops and had lunch at a little restaurant up Monchique mountain with amazing views. Highly recommend this trip "The western Algarve" we loved it ❤️

We loved our afternoon tour of Algar Seco, Benagil Cave from the top, the coastal walk and Marinha beach. The scenery was spectacular. Meeting point in Faro was central and was easy to find. Tour guide Andres and driver Joao were both great, excellent English, very knowledgeable and the whole tour was really well organised with clear instructions and plenty of time at each location. We thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend you do this tour as well as a boat trip to the cave. The coastal walk was easy and gave absolutely amazing views so make sure you do it. Thank you Andres and Joao for a really thorough 5 hour tour and a great afternoon!

We had a fantastic time, Oscar was an absolute superstar and made sure everybody enjoyed themself. The islands themselves are well worth seeing, the boat ride was equally relaxing and entertaining, and the lunch we had on Culatra was fantastic. All in all a highly recommended way to spend the day!

A lovely way to spend an afternoon. The tour was short, informative and our host was funny! The wine tasting was nice and they allowed me to change the glasses round, I am not overly keen on red so managed to swap a red for another glass of white! The snacks were good, wish there had been some balsamic vinegar with bread too. We purchased some additional snacks and these were really reasonable and tasty. The pool looked lovely, we didn’t use it, too cold!!! Would recommend
