What are people saying about Edinburgh

Incredible tour and tour guide.
Ally is the best tour guide I’ve had the experience to meet. The small group size made the tour even more memorable. Stops at Jedburgh (the abbey is an absolute must see) and Vindolanda Fort was unexpectedly but both was breathtakingly beautiful. Highly recommend this tour and Rabbies.

This trip was truly a...
This trip was truly a small group experience with 8 in attendance. Our tour guide Roddy was e trembly knowledgeable and pointed out many hidden gems particularly at Roslyn’s Chapel.
The chapel is an amazing lifetime accomplishment of many artisan stone masons that carved intricate stories into their work. Without the aid of our guide and the docent who gave a presentation, we would have missed so much. That said, the work is so intricate I am sure there is still much to learn.
Hadrian’s Wall was full of history of the Roman Empire. Easily able to hike sections of the wall and see the placement of a fort. To top it all off, it was lambing season and dozens of week old lambs played energetically around the area. Very cute.
We also toured the Melrose Abbey and the quaint town of Melrose and stopped for pictures at Jedburgh Abbey since they had closed early. Roddy stopped at a historic railroad bridge to give us an extra stop and got great pictures of this historic bridge.
Great day

Our guide, Jada, was the highlight of our tour!
While some may find a 12.5 hour trip intimidating, this tour was made enjoyable by our tour guide. We’ve been on tours where the information felt forced and scripted, but Jada’s overview of the history of the sights was light and conversational. She gave us just enough time throughout each stop to take in the views, get our photos, and continue on the journey. It was the perfect way to see the Highlands while visiting Edinburgh, and we definitely look forward to returning to Scotland again soon!

Great history!
Our guide Darren was great. He shared so much history of the darker parts of Edinburgh. Plus a few puns thrown in to lighten the tour. Those looking to book this tour need to know there is one entrance that has a very large step up. I needed help getting up as the step was higher than my knee and I also have really bad knees.

Fun 2 Hours at Edinburgh Castle & Royal Mile
We met Linda with Mercat tours in the heart of the Royal Mile on a cold and rainy day. She got us started with a ton of information about Edinburgh history, from people to the buildings and the small things you wouldn’t probably notice just walking by them. She was very knowledgeable, funny, and personable.

Great tour!
This was a lot of fun and very informative. Lots of walking but that made it even better in my opinion. Walking through the city is absolutely beautiful. Ben was our guide and he was very knowledgeable, personable and an all-around great tour guide. Would highly recommend this tour especially as a first day of your trip activity.

Don’t miss it! Especially the Wee Little Red Bus
It was absolutely amazing! The scenery, the stops, and the fun of Loch Ness were amazing. Our guide Roddy made it perfect! His history lesson provided throughout was great! This included quoting Shakespeare.
The one note I can give to people, if you want to go to Loch Ness, if you have never been, take the cruise. Otherwise Loch Ness is another beautiful little town in Scotland. The cruise provides great insight, history and scientific studies on Loch Ness.

Beautiful Tour with an Amazing Guide, Chazz
The locations on this tour were absolutely lovely, and Stirling Castle was a definite highlight, so impressive and 100% worth seeing. The whole day felt well planned and gave us a great mix of scenery and history.
Chazz was an incredible guide, so knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience really fun and engaging. She even made a stop so we could pet some Highland coos, which was such a special touch!
I would definitely recommend this tour, and if you get Chazz as your guide, you’re in for an amazing day 💕

An Exceptional Guide: A Fascinating and Entertaining Journey Through History
We were so lucky to have the best guide we could have hoped for! As a history graduate from Bristol, they are extremely passionate and knowledgeable. They are also a gifted storyteller and speaker, sharing fascinating stories that kept us on the edge of our seats for two hours.
We are deeply grateful to our guide. It was an afternoon well spent, and we recommend this to anyone who wants to understand Scotland better and appreciate a highly entertaining, expert guide!

Explore Edinburgh’s Underbelly
Dr. Knox was extremely knowledgeable and humorous! He brought Edinburgh’s historic underbelly to life. You can’t take yourself too seriously on this tour! The tour is experiential and Dr. Knox plays his character well, so have fun with it. Note: On the previous day we were late arriving to the tour due to our travel time change error, and missed the tour. They were kind enough to accommodate us the following night with no extra charge.

A day tour for whisky lovers
We have an unique and wonderful experience during the day tour. Graham is an enthusiastic tour guide who is passionate to arrange the tour itinerary and even more on the details of the songs he choose to play in different sections during driving time. We have a great time to visit Dewars whisky distillery especially that's not only dropped by and taking photos but good enough time to learn, taste and feels the Scottish spirit and whisky history.

Spectacular
This trip was absolutely amazing! I chose not to listen to the tour guide because I just wanted to see everything! Coach was comfortable and you get to see so much in one day. Glencoe and the three sisters were out of this world and the other parts of the highlands were spectacular! Only downside was it, was a bit confusing of what coach we were on but we made it in the end. Well worth the price would absolutely do it again despite it being a very long day. Was my whole reason for visiting Scotland and I wasn't disappointed.
