Hadrian’s Wall tour
A little hard to find the tours meeting point info via viator info, just have to read the fine print, and arrive 15 mins before the listed time! That’s the departure time not boarding time (saw several other people miss their tour d/t this!)
Our tour guide Keith was awesome! So knowledgeable and pleasant. The sights were amazing and the history was so cool. Long day trip, but we arrived back in Edinburgh right on time. Jedburgh Abbey (optional) cost about 15 pounds for the 2 of us to enter and walk around quickly, would recommend doing this, it’s even better from the inside. Stoping at the England Scotland border provided some cool views. Lunch at the museum/archeological site of Vindolanda was good, cute little cafe. Definitely bring some good walking shoes, Vindolanda has a steep uphill path to see the archeological site. Keith also brought up to some optional view points with quick hikes on the way to and back. Plenty of toilet breaks including a rest stop option with ability to grab snacks for the way back. Totally recommend this tour!

Great history!
Fun walking tour through Edinburgh. The Fridge festival was in full swing so it was a bit busy but we had headsets which really helped!
Grant was great and kept us moving so we could get it all in. Finished at Edinburgh Castle where we got a short tour, but then could stay and see it all once the tour was over.

Best look at southern Scotland and Northern England!
This is a very educational and enjoyable overview of the area. Rosslyn Chapel is stunning, and the countryside is beautiful. Hadrian's wall and the fort are an incredible piece of history. Our Guide, Angela incorporated local music and pointed out unexpected extras!

Hop-on-hop-off History Lesson
Hop -on-hop-off buses are really the best way to see a city like Edinburgh. Buy the pass to ride all three buses because the routes are slightly different with the blue bus going all the way out to Leith. The live guides or the recorded guides on the buses are a great way to learn about the city. You can get off at any stop and get back on by simply scanning your ticket, so make sure you keep it handy. The tour passes are 24 hours or 48 depending on which one you purchase and start the first time you get on a bus.

Highlands High! A beautiful day trip with no responsibility!
What a wonderful experience we had! We are normally not 'book a tour' people, but we had one day to experience the Highlands and wanted to relax and let someone else do the work! Our guide/driver - Roddy - was amazing. His historical knowledge of everywhere we went was impressive, and he made us feel very comfortable during our 12-hour day (bathroom breaks, temperature control within the bus, etc). We loved that there were only 13 people on the bus, versus a giant group where you feel herded. Highly recommend!

We had a great time....
We had a great time. Jack, our guide was fantastic. He was funny, friendly, full of amazing stories and history and timed our entire tour absolutely perfectly. Every stop was the right length, and his delivery of all the background info was spot on. He made sure we had a good time and put in an extra stop to see some hairy coos. Great tour, highly recommended guide!

A great day trip out of Edinburgh
We had a one day tour with Alistair, the driver. Went to Loch Lomond, the Kelpies, Stirling Castle and Callander. We had a terrific time at each of these places. Alistair did a great job of providing the right amount of background while deftly and safely driving our motor coach. Thank you!

Lafayette was a fantastic guide.
A very unique tour. Edinburgh was jam packed with people because of the August festival season. Our guide Lafayette did a very nice job of managing the group and navigating through the crowd. The content was fantastic. Be warned though that the underground part in the end could be claustrophobic for some people and challenging for kids. Choose a family friendly tour (6:45pm for us) that is a bit more PG.

Best way to learn and wonder around Edinburgh!
The tour was great got to wonder around the most emblematic areas of the old town of Edinburgh while Euan our guide told us all about it in a fun, digestible and informative way, perfect combination of history, stories and even some poetry. Would highly recommend.

Darren was an awesome...
Darren was an awesome guide. Was well informed about the area and perfectly blended history with enough ghost stories to throughly entertain us. He also has a natural talent for story telling which added to our enjoyment.
The venues themselves were also fun. Both the greyfriars graveyard and the vaults.

The most amazing tour with an incredible tour guide, David!
What an incredible tour! David was our guide and he was amazing! He had some fascinating historical stories to tell. He had lots of information for current events as well. He knew where they filmed parts of some of the most famous movies, we loved all those facts.
He also had a great song selection.
We took our two underage kiddos and he was so kind to them.
If I could give this tour more than 5 stars, I would. We were in awe the entire day!

A must do day trip!
This bus trip takes you out of the city of Edinburgh and into the magical Scotland highlands. The views are outstanding. Pictures truly do not do it justice. Our tour guide Thomas was phenomenal and very informative. Driver (Chris I think) was so great! I learned so much on this trip. It was a beautiful outing. Keep in mind it's a long day trip (12 to 13 hours) but the views are totally worth it.
