What are people saying about Dublin

Great value for a top-notch experience!
My wife and I only had two nights and less than three days in Dublin, so we wanted a memorable day-trip, knowing we would have enough time with the remainder to get a good taste of Dublin.
We saw several day trips that looked similar and decided on this one (the word "wild" in the title might have swayed us slightly). The price seemed quite excellent considering it was a full-day trip!
The itinerary was full but not cramped. There was adequate time to rest in between bits of exertion. Our guide Jim was outstanding: just a relaxed gentleman from Wicklow who was quite happy to talk knowledgeably about the sites we were visiting. He had a nice sense of humor and a good way with people young and old.
The stops on the trip were great. I did think that the advertised "Avoca Handweavers" and the opportunity to buy "fine handmade goods" was going to be a bit like a country village instead of an upscale store, but the coffee there was good and it was appropriate to take a bathroom break at this point. So I still liked that stop. I just expected it was going to be more of a cultural experience.
The stops for scenic overlooks were perfect, and we had plenty of time at each for photos. Jim knew when to hurry us along, as he wanted us to have more time at Glendalough. Learning about the bogs was absolutely and surprisingly fascinating!
The lunch stop was outstanding. I really enjoyed my beef and Guinness stew with a nicely-poured pint to wash it down.
The stop at the monastic settlement was a definite highlight. The only thing I might have changed the whole day was to do without the walk along the lake to the further parking lot. It was nice to stretch our legs, but I've seen plenty of lakes before so it was nothing really special. I would have more enjoyed more time at the settlement or at one of the earlier stops/viewpoints.
All in all it was a grand day and it makes me want to do things like this more, wherever I find myself!

A refreshing day in Ireland
The Wicklow Guided walking tour with tour guide Linda and her pup Bowie, quiet lunch in Enniskerry and visit to Glendalough was a refreshing and an exceptional experience. We enjoyed the pace of the walking tour and the information provided by Linda the tour guide/driver. As a local resident she was able to provide valuable insight into the Wicklow area which added so much to our Ireland experience. The day tour was a great balance between guided tour and time on our own to explore at our own pace. We highly recommend Hilltop Treks for your next adventure.

This was a fantastic...
This was a fantastic tour. Kevin was very knowledge with a great sense of humor. It was an easy walking tour and we went to 5 fantastic places for a mix of drinks and food, some tradition, some not. At the end of the tour we got a list of recommendations around the city which was helpful as well. I would highly recommend this tour. It’s one of the best I’ve done.

Awesome excursion
Had a great time on this excursion. Brian was a great host. Blarney Castle is gorgeous - don’t sleep on the gardens, they are worth exploring!! Very cute shops here too. Do know you only drive through downtown Cork, you don’t stop to explore Cork. I do wish we had more time to explore Cóbh instead of only one hour. If I could do it again I’d walk up to the main Cóbh village to take photos and see the shops instead of visiting the Heritage Center.

Amazing tour
Amazing tour!! We would highly recommend .. small group and very comfortable mini bus and excellent value for money. Richard our guide was brilliant and so knowledgeable .. open to questions and so helpful 🙏
You stop for lunch in small village snd you are led to ‘poppies cafe’ .. afraid our only disappointment of the day sadly.. food was very expensive basic and bland we paid a lot and didn’t eat it and others did the same .. wish we had tried tried other places in the village, there are many .. or eat at powerscourt gardens where food is far superior.

Great way to see another part of Ireland
A long day to be sure, but Paul kept it on pace, on time, and on humor. The combo of train and small coach was just right to get a feel for another part of this beautiful country and its people. Spending a few hours in Galway was a good way to experience another Irish city. Very impressed with the amount of Irish history I absorbed on this excursion. And, it was, in my opinion a value for the amount of activities and duration of the trip.

Amazing walking tour with Samantha
We had an amazing walking tour with Samantha! She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging from start to finish. Her storytelling really brought the history and culture of the area to life, and she made sure everyone felt included and comfortable throughout the tour. Samantha’s enthusiasm was contagious, and she shared so many interesting local insights that we would have completely missed on our own. The pace was perfect, and the whole experience was both fun and informative. Highly recommend this tour — especially if you get Samantha as your guide! And if you are with Samantha, highly recommend her restaurant tips too!

Make time for this one!
Did the guided tour — very cool experience. Allows you to take your time and soak in all of the information. Would recommend at least 2 hours to thoroughly experience the tour + time to enjoy your free Guinness in the gravity bar. The views are amazing — you’ll want to stay for a while.

Great entertainment in Dublin
What a fabulous evening in Dublin! Dinner was very good, and the musicians were so entertaining. Loved watching the dancer--he was amazing! They taught sing-alongs, and the guitar player/emcee was very funny. We all had such a wonderful evening and then had an enjoyable walk back to our hotel. Would definitely recommend for authentic Irish music, dancing, and humor.

A day well spent!
We saw and learned so much. The scenery was amazing. Brian and Luke did a wonderful job, all questions were answered and we left knowing so much more about Northern Ireland, the people and the history. I definitely recommend and would love doing this tour again!
Well worth the time and money! So much easier then renting a car. We saw so many beautiful views and got some great photos.

Wonderful tour with Alex
Highly recommend this walking tour! Alex was so knowledgeable about Irish history. We’re American and he was able to tie together Irish historical events with American events we knew more about. He was engaging and fun to be with. We toured mid January and were the only 2 people on the tour! Despite not having a full group, he gave us his full effort. Loved it. Thanks, Alex!

The North remembers!!!
I was so excited to book this tour and it did not disappoint! The pick up location was very clear. I joined Lars and our King of the Bus driver Denis on our adventure. We got great weather, albeit windy and cool. Most importantly no rain so we were able to Take the Black early and don our cloaks for the entire journey! I'm usually cold but I wore a light sweater and with the cloak it was perfect, even toasty at some points. Lars was fantastic and fun! He let us know what to expect and the music and behind the scene videos playing on the bus to and from locations was great. The locations are gorgeous. Lars did let us know it is a brisk walk, and while I did read that on other reviews I didn't let that deter me from walking at my own pace. I'm 5'2" and my little legs only go a certain pace. Don't feel the need to keep up, honestly go at your own pace take pictures and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Trust me I was always the last one and by the time you are with the group Lars will still be talking about the location, showing photos and talking about the show. So get your pictures!! Tollymore Forest Park is breathtaking so drink it in while you're there. He also takes group shots at the end at each location after he's done speaking. There is a stop for lunch and everything was yummy. Everyone was happy with the food and drinks! If you tend to get a little car sick I would sit in the back so you can see everything. Lars checked in on a woman at all points of our journey because she wasn't feeling well it was very sweet and you can tell he wanted to make sure she enjoyed herself. Visit the glass and pottery studio at "Winterfell" they have some beautiful pieces to take home, and the owner is very sweet. Tip*when you ARRIVE at "Winterfell" use the restroom first you'll be walking a lot. There was portapotty at The Twins ;) but it was locked. There are also restrooms at Tollymore Park. Great experience, would highly recommend!
