Our guide for this tour was a fantastic host. We love learning about the history of places we visit and this walk about town did not disappoint. Despite the weather being quite soggy, we had a wonderful time and got to see much more than I expected over the course of the morning and afternoon.
Much of what we learned about was focused on the events that happened in Dublin specifically, in particular the struggles for independence and the complexity of the politics of that time.
We also got a proper introduction to Irish pubs, including why they are laid out the way they are and some lesser-known features such as the "snugs". Our guide also gave us an extensive list of recommended places to see beyond the tour, including museums, libraries, restaurants, and music venues.
To escape the rain for a bit our guide took us through the National Gallery of Ireland, leading us through all of the highlights and explaining in detail the distinguishing features of many different works of art in there.
Highly recommended!

What a fantastic tour! Carl was the perfect guide for us love to know history and see architecture and get a great feeling of the city and country. Carl took us to the park across from our hotel we sat and had a great overview of the history of Ireland and the people of Ireland. We next started walking through the city, seeing several spots, St. Patrick’s, Cathedral, Dublin Castle, Christchurch, and the book of Kells Trinity College. Carl gave us information the whole time and his initial. Talk that he gave us tied in through the whole journey. We had a great time. It was fun. It was informative, and we truly enjoyed exploring Dublin.

Eamon was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide. Frankly 5 hrs is a lot of walking and our ADD kicked in around hr 3 but we tailored it to our needs and cut it down to 4 hrs seeing about 95% of Dublin and really going over lots of history from Viking era to the revolution, Trinity college, talked about book of Kells, went into some of the oldest buildings in Dublin and so on. Highly recommend.

What a great way to see Dublin! John was a fantastic guide, and was a wealth of knowledge. We saw many more interesting sights and learned far more than we could have done on our own in one day.
John reached out to us well before our tour to understand what we wanted to see, and what our interests were. Based on that feedback he composed a custom itinerary which perfectly suited our needs. Additionally, John gave us great information to help us navigate the Cliffs of Howth on our own the day after our tour. We saw far more than we could have possibly seen in 5 hours on our own, and saw many places of great interest we never would have found by ourselves. Highly recommend this tour and John as a guide.

Austin was such a delightful guide. I let him know my mom didn’t speak English so I would translate everything for her so he took his time explaining while also being patient. We spent a very pleasant rainy day with Eamon. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Slightly disappointed that we did not see all of the things that had been advertised as part of the tour, but rather we spent an extra long time at Saint Stephen’s Green and Trinity College. Enjoyed the Book of Kells and the National Gallery, and walking the streets of Dublin.

This tour was the perfect introduction to Ireland and the city of Dublin. With John as our guide, the tour was thorough, informative and a lot of fun. John contacted is in advance to see if there were specific sights we wanted to see, he worked the tour times around our arrival into Dublin and this man knows his history. Plus, there several stops to taste the best of Dublin - including Guinness and gelato (not together, of course). We would highly recommend this tour and John as your guide.

Brendan was a fantastic tour guide and this experience was a top highlight of our trip. Brendan reached out in advance and included stops on the tour that were of interest to our 10 and 12 year old daughters. He also researched the town where by grandmother was born and shared some images of what life would have been like during her early life. In addition, Brendan is a masterful storyteller and provided details on Irish history from prehistoric times through the establishment of the Irish Republic and today. Highly, highly recommended.

Our experience with this tour was a phenomenal one from the start. The office staff was always prompt in their responses to my questions as I was planning our trip from home. On the day of our tour, our cruise ship experienced difficulties meaning we were late to Dublin, and the company responded right away to my email providing reassurance. Our tour guide, Carl, was absolutely fantastic. He was great with our multigenerational family group and provided a great mix of history and fun. He even taught us the proper way to drink Guinness at a pub (after our request to squeeze this into our tour). Would highly recommend this tour!
