All these places are within walking distance, but it was nice having Sean as our guide because not only were we able to skip the long lines but also he gave us bits of history and also stories about different places that we wouldn’t have heard if we were just walking without a guide.
Ok city tour of Dublin. The guide, Sean, was quite good. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I particularly enjoyed the Guinness Storeroom portion of the tour. Just coming in from Rome, St Pat’s was less interesting. Plus having a gift shop on the church floor seemed a bit cheesy. Book of Kells Experience was also not that interesting beyond the actual book which you see two pages of. Dublin Castle was closed too. No stop for lunch doesn’t make sense either. Despite all that negativity, these are the “highlights” of Dublin and worth seeing at least once.

For future travellers, we'd clarify that this highlights tour doesn't include a lunch stop, and Book of Kells viewing is set by Trinity College, not by us. Good tour and our tour guide Emmet was grear! We did not get to see Dublin Castle (hence the 4 stars) because it was closed for diplomatic purposes. This was not the fault of Emmet or the tour company but the castle tour was one of the reasons we took the tour. Our guide filled in the gap well and we enjoyed the organized, interesting, and fun tour. If booking, first check to see if any key locations are closed.

Seamus our guide was incredible! Very knowledgeable and interactive! He was the real highlight of the tour. Unfortunately the Dublin Castle is closed to visit because of the EU Presidency which Ireland holds to the end of 2026. So the tour profile shown is not correct. Outside of that if you tally the costs of admission for St Patrick’s, the book of Kells and Guinness (which had no lines- so skip the line wasn’t important) the costs might be considered high for this tour
In the absence of Dublin Castle. Many in our tour also skipped going to Guinness which was far from the book of Kells visit. We didn’t mind but others might feel different especially if it’s raining (not uncommon for Dublin, right??) but for us Seamus made the tour worth it!

It’s a really long day. If taking the Guineas extension take a snack bar or something because the ham & cheese toastee place has no options and 2pm isn’t really lunchtime. Check all stops are actually available when you are going.

This was a wonderful way to experience, Dublin. Janet, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and pointed out landmarks and things to do as we walked. By the time we finished, we had a good idea of what we wanted to do with the rest of our time in Dublin. We also enjoyed the sites included on the tour. As other reviews and the description of the tour mentioned, this is a lot of walking. Probably between four and 5 miles with a lot of standing in between so you do want to have comfortable shoes, but we’re ready to do it again.

Very informative. Fergus was a good tour guide. I would end the tour at Trinity college. If you are interested in going to the Guinness brewery then just take a cab. No need for the additional walking through not great parts of Dublin. It also would of been nice if there was an actual tour at Guinness rather than just being dropped off at the tourist center.

Mario was an outstanding guide. He was super funny, knowledgeable and exposed us to a lot of great stuff. We really, really enjoyed him.
If I were to give one piece of feedback, the tour runs from 9:30-roughly 3:30. There is no time to stop and grab a bit to eat. I noticed with the tour group that some of the people really were antsy because they wanted to grab a bite. It would be helpful in this program to start half an hour earlier and then stop someplace quick where people get get a quick lunch if they choose to have a bite to eat. Because this is a walking tour, there are tons of options. This is not meant as a criticism but rather as a way to improve an ourstanding experience.

The tour was very overpriced for what you got. Martin, the guide was good, but we really only toured the cathedral and walked around. The Guinness Storehouse portion of our tour was canceled and Viator would not refund us any money. We actually paid $50 to see it. Overall a very bad experience. Worst Viator tour I took.

Truly a fabulous tour! Fergus was an outstanding guide, full of information and very personable. We had good weather that day, so it was especially nice to walk around Dublin and learn about a number of landmarks, as well as lots of Irish history. I would highly recommend this tour to get to know Dublin and see a few of the key landmarks, especially if it's your first visit to the area.
