⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A ceviche masterclass!!!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the Best Cooking Experiences I Have Ever Had
This Peruvian ceviche masterclass was everything I hoped it would be and more. From the market to the kitchen to the final sip of a homemade pisco sour, every part of the experience was thoughtfully done and genuinely enjoyable.
It began at the local market, where our chef guided us through selecting the freshest fish and finest ingredients. The fish was remarkably fresh — firm, clean, and ocean-bright in a way that immediately told you it belonged in a ceviche. Our chef took the time to explain what to look for when choosing quality fish and why freshness matters so much in a dish where the ingredients speak entirely for themselves. It was an eye-opening and practical lesson that I will carry with me every time I shop for seafood going forward. A wonderful way to start the class and set the tone for everything that followed.
The kitchen itself was beautiful — authentic, warm, and inspiring. Exactly the kind of space where great cooking happens, with every tool and ingredient laid out with care and intention.
We were welcomed into the kitchen with the very first thing we made — Pisco Sours from scratch. Fresh lime juice, pisco, egg white, and a dash of bitters, shaken and poured to perfection. It was a warm and festive way to be introduced to the class, and sipping a handcrafted cocktail in that beautiful kitchen immediately made everyone feel relaxed, happy, and ready to cook.
Our chef was knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about Peruvian culinary tradition. The instruction was clear and engaging, and there was always a fascinating story or cultural insight to accompany each technique. I learned a tremendous amount and never once felt lost or rushed.
We began cooking with a wonderful appetizer that set the tone beautifully for the meal ahead — stuffed peppers made with fresh ingredients sourced directly from a local farm. Vibrant, flavorful, and a perfect reflection of the incredible produce available in this region, they were a clear signal of the quality and care that would define every dish that followed.
From there we moved into the heart of the class and prepared three ceviches — a Traditional, an Ancestral, and a Superfood — each with its own distinct flavor profile and story. All three were delicious, but the Ancestral Ceviche was a particular highlight, offering a fascinating window into pre-colonial Peruvian cooking that you simply cannot experience anywhere else.
After the ceviches, our chef guided us through making a remarkable gnocchi dessert prepared from a local root bulb — an ingredient I had never worked with before and one that speaks to the extraordinary diversity of Peru's native produce. Learning to transform this organic, earthy root into something as delicate and satisfying as gnocchi was one of the most surprising and rewarding moments of the entire class. Light, pillowy, and completely organic like every ingredient we used throughout the day, it was a creative and memorable finale that left everyone at the table thoroughly delighted.
If you are looking for a cooking class that is fun, educational, and deeply rooted in authentic Peruvian culinary tradition, this one is hard to beat. Highly recommended.

Wonderful culinary experience
This tour was expertly held by Ronald, who took such good care of my son when he was feeling the altitude sickness during the market tour. He immediately got coco leaves, chocolate and a helpful smelling liquid called Florida water. Full recovery!! We then went to the workshop and made the most lovely meal. Ronald explained all the foods, traditions, and cooking techniques. Delicious fruits and cheeses for appetizers and then ceviche and stuffed peppers for dinner. We also made pisco sours and passion fruit drinks. So much attention to detail and history of Peruvian cuisine. Highly recommend!

Hidden Gem
Our tour guide Yesenia was amazing, she made the trip so pleasant, very supportive on our steep hike. The view was worth the hike, and if you are not a hiker and still want to go up the mountain to see this beautiful magical lake, there’s lovely towns people that let you take a horse up for 80 soles. I went with three other friends, and only one of use chickened out and took a horse. It’s a hard hike but very fulfilling experience. The food was delicious, once again Yesenia was so lovely, and will definitely recommend.

Amazing!
My sister, a friend and I traveled with Bamba travel company to Machu Picchu on the
4 day/3 night trek.
I can’t say enough good things about the team that we were with. Our porters were amazing, helpful, and caring, especially Loco. They always had a smile on their faces! they worked so very hard carrying all of our equipment to each location where we camped. There were no alpacas, donkeys or horses used to carry the equipment. They carried 25 kg on their backs. I could barely carry 10 pounds in my day pack. They effortlessly ran up and down the steps. They made it look so easy even in the rain! They ranged anywhere from 20yo to 61yo. It was just amazing. Our chef Sanom, made each meal like a feast with minimal effort and equipment.
Our team leader Edwin was fantastic. This trek was the hardest thing that I have ever done in my life. I was always last to camp,
Edwin made sure that I was safe, he stayed with me and was my own personal cheerleader. He gave me the encouragement that I needed to finish each day. He was very knowledgeable. It was definitely fascinating to hear the history of the Incas and walk the same path that they did many, many years ago.
As I said, in the beginning, I can’t say enough good things about the team we were with. I would definitely recommend Bamba travel if you’re thinking about doing the trek to Machu Picchu. Please pass along my thanks to the team. I never would’ve made it without them.

Flor knows her street food
We had such a wonderful food tour with Flor! Even though our group was small (just four of us), she made it engaging, fun, and full of great local insight. Her energy and knowledge truly made the experience unforgettable. From the local tamales to the street food Flor guided us with her experience and food knowledge through the bustling streets of Cusco. Highly recommend!

10/10 a+
Challenging hike, but incredible views. Beyond worth the effort. The meals, transportation, everything was amazing.
We had a small hiccup on the initial pick up but they corrected it asap and it did not negatively impact our trip. They were quick to also apologize for the mistake which is nice to see.
Rosmel was an amazing guide, as well as his partner.

Airport Pickup
Fernando was really nice and punctual. The vehicle was nice and very comfortable. I was concerned at first about my safety arriving very early in the morning in an unfamiliar place, but Fernando made me feel at ease. I would definitely recommend this service company again without a doubt.

Our Guide was deeply...
Our Guide was deeply knowledgeable, with strong ideas even about some of the more controversial aspects of Incan culture and engineering. Her should know; he's a descendent! His presentation was incredibly lively and engaging, even riveting; a master storyteller.

Absolutely beautiful hike and rewarding scenes
Challenging but such a rewarding trek and experience, especially with such a warm and trusting guide like Rubin. If you’re able to make the hike, I highly recommend spending the day venturing to the mountains and seeing this natural beauty and a glimpse of how locals live. The hike is steep at times but take your time and enjoy the majestic views.

They were very patient...
They were very patient with me though I had the day mixed up (flight landed after midnight). They were there waiting for me when my flight arrived. Since I arrived after midnight, the hotel doors were closed. The driver waited with me as I called the hotel to let me in. It was very nice and a little extra nice thing to do for a solo female traveler. Highly recommend this service.

Super local and thoughtful guide
Sorry that we have forgotten the name but our guide is simply amazing - born and raised in Cusco, able to share many local happenings and culture, like Sunday markets and red flagged family bars, ensuring us not missing any taste of the region.
Our team is small in only 4 pax incl us, and easy to communicate so we can reach decision like skipping lunch stop for earlier arrival to train station and skipping jewellery shop in mutual respect way (good tour-mates we have). Pick up is smooth at our hotel door. We learnt so much along the way from our guide - languages of Quechua, historical culture and changes, all plants and nature that helps Inca to survive in old time. The guide also helpful to bring us to train station, make sure we know what to do to be on board and not missed. (4 of us all stopped the tour at Ollantaytambo).
Happy with what we have:) and thanks again for the arrangement. It has been one of the most rewarding tour we have.
