Best guides ever. Despite having very inconvenient weather, the guides and porters did everything they could to make sure we were safe, happy, and well fed. Vegetarians and food allergies were respected and cared for adequately. Insane amounts of delicious food was offered at every meal. Tent, mats, sleeping bags, and other rentals/supplies were good quality and in good condition. Great knowledge of history, plants and animals, as well as an abundance of assistance was offered from the guides. Would absolutely book again. Willian, Roberto, and Moises were amazing guides and I’ll forever be grateful to have had the chance to experience the Inca Trail with their guidance.

We had an awesome expierence, “PurvIan Cooking with Chris”! His knowledge through the market, to the “hands on demo”, made for a great afternoon. The pace for the market tour and culinary instruction were both well thought out, and interesting! We enjoyed the three course luncheon, ceviche, risotto, style quinoa, and passionfruit style parfait, and of course the Pisco Sour was a total highlight of the day! We all agree, definitely a most fun and memorable activity, to be a true Peruvian for the day!

We hope you get Cesar as your tour guide like we did! He was so interesting to listen to as he explained history of Inca life and many other things related to Peru. He didn’t just know history but also would stop to show us plants and animals. You can tell he is passionate about what he is talking about which made him so interesting to listen too.

We had a wonderful experience with Happy Gringo Tours on our trip to Machu Picchu. Everything was well organized from the start. Our travel arrangements were confirmed, and all tickets were booked well before the tour date. The team communicated clearly in advance, providing a detailed itinerary, travel times, and transportation information, which made the entire process stress-free. We were fortunate to have an exclusive guide, Mr. Mauro, who was outstanding. He shared the history of Machu Picchu in an engaging and informative way, took great photos for us, and never rushed the tour. The early start time was rough but so worth it as we were the first ATVs up on the mountain. We were picked up at our hotel and were told it would be 2 hours until we reach breakfast so advised to catch up on sleep. At the breakfast we enjoyed yummy fruits and light breakfast to prepare ourselves for the adventure and to use the bathrooms. From there it was another hour and 15 minutes to the ATV site but we did give the 25 soles for the entrance of rainbow mountain on the ride there as well as sign some waivers. We were the first group on site and got to practice. It was a smooth and easy ride up and super grateful. Once at the top you had two options a flat path that is 5 minutes to one point or a ten minute very steep walk to see the best view. We did both and then enjoyed the ride back down.

This tour is well organized and hits all the major sacred valley highlights. It would be impossible to fit in any more. Despite packing so much in it didn’t feel rushed. The guide Arnold was very knowledgeable and friendly. The driver was great. My only criticism is I would cut the “silver workshop” at the end.

Such a fun cooking class! We really enjoyed learning about the local Peruvian foods and getting to cook with them. Our chef Mauricio was very nice and even went out of his way to help us navigate a personal problem. He also paid for a taxi to take us back to the kitchen when it started raining and I didn’t have a coat. The food was all very delicious and the kitchen was very nice and clean!

My sister, a friend and I traveled with Bamba travel company to Machu Picchu on the 4 day/3 night trek. I can’t say enough good things about the team that we were with. Our porters were amazing, helpful, and caring, especially Loco. They always had a smile on their faces! they worked so very hard carrying all of our equipment to each location where we camped. There were no alpacas, donkeys or horses used to carry the equipment. They carried 25 kg on their backs. I could barely carry 10 pounds in my day pack. They effortlessly ran up and down the steps. They made it look so easy even in the rain! They ranged anywhere from 20yo to 61yo. It was just amazing. Our chef Sanom, made each meal like a feast with minimal effort and equipment. Our team leader Edwin was fantastic. This trek was the hardest thing that I have ever done in my life. I was always last to camp, Edwin made sure that I was safe, he stayed with me and was my own personal cheerleader. He gave me the encouragement that I needed to finish each day. He was very knowledgeable. It was definitely fascinating to hear the history of the Incas and walk the same path that they did many, many years ago. As I said, in the beginning, I can’t say enough good things about the team we were with. I would definitely recommend Bamba travel if you’re thinking about doing the trek to Machu Picchu. Please pass along my thanks to the team. I never would’ve made it without them.
