What are people saying about Cusco

Best tour hands down!
This was probably the most special tour we have been on, and we’ve done quite a few through Viator, Get Your Guide, Airbnb, etc.
We had Oscar as our guide and it was clear his passion and love for the Sacred Valley and the people in it. He shared a wealth of knowledge about Peru today and of course historically through the site and tour.
He picked the most special distillery on Urubamba river to take us to lunch. Amazing good, great drinks!
Long story short, I wish I had used Oscar and his company for all of our Peru tours — that is how cared for and insightful we felt by the end of the experience.

Fun way to spend a couple hours and delicious as well!
We had a lot of fun learning about making chocolate and where they come from. We tasted things along the way and learned a little history behind Cacao beans in Cusco. And at the end, we also got to make some to take back with us.
I made a reservation but it’s probably not necessary (I’m just a planner), as there were several spots a day. There is also a little chocolate shop you can buy chocolate from and you can watch them make chocolate in the little factory they have there.

10/10 recommendation.
Best guides ever. Despite having very inconvenient weather, the guides and porters did everything they could to make sure we were safe, happy, and well fed.
Vegetarians and food allergies were respected and cared for adequately.
Insane amounts of delicious food was offered at every meal.
Tent, mats, sleeping bags, and other rentals/supplies were good quality and in good condition.
Great knowledge of history, plants and animals, as well as an abundance of assistance was offered from the guides.
Would absolutely book again. Willian, Roberto, and Moises were amazing guides and I’ll forever be grateful to have had the chance to experience the Inca Trail with their guidance.

Had a great tour!
Jose was great! Knowledgeable and provided context to the sites we visited. We had a private transport for our group which was great and the driver had plenty of water available for us during the tour and kept cleaning the car each time we stepped out.

Great way to get to know...
Great way to get to know the culture of a place. The market visit was fun and exciting and we saw and learnt about so many new things. The cooking session was brilliant - truly hands on - we actually did our own cooking - and Christian was the perfect guide and story teller….
Great way to get to know a country….

We had a wonderful...
We had a wonderful experience with Happy Gringo Tours on our trip to Machu Picchu. Everything was well organized from the start. Our travel arrangements were confirmed, and all tickets were booked well before the tour date. The team communicated clearly in advance, providing a detailed itinerary, travel times, and transportation information, which made the entire process stress-free.
We were fortunate to have an exclusive guide, Mr. Mauro, who was outstanding. He shared the history of Machu Picchu in an engaging and informative way, took great photos for us, and never rushed the tour. His knowledge, patience, and friendly attitude made our visit even more enjoyable.
We highly recommend Happy Gringo Tours to anyone planning a trip to Machu Picchu. Their excellent organization, communication, and personalized service made for a memorable experience.

Rainbow Mtn by ATV … the Best!
This was a really early start (and I doubted, at first this decision) However, it was the best decision! Pickup at our hotel was around 3am but we slept a bit in the van. After the stops to pick up up passengers, we journeyed a few hours where stopped for breakfast. Then we headed one more hour to the base camp of the ATVs. The sun was dawning and it was cold. Bring hats, gloves and a winter coat . We were outfitted with the atv and headed to Rainbow Mtn. - so much Fun! About 20 minute ride . At Rainow Mtn, we were given some time to walk around to the different pictures sights &just take it in. I will say there were no crowds at this time so it was very serene. Perfect blue skies graced our day.
After our Atv back (again so much fun and better than walking) we boarded the van and stopped for lunch at the same place for breakfast. A little bumper to lumper traffic back into Cusco slowed us down a little. But I must say that arriving back in the early afternoon gave us the whole day to keep exploring Cusco :)
This was a great excursion and highly recommend if the early departure isn’t a factor. It was awesome to see Rainbow Mtn before all the crowds showed up and it was a wonderful sight to see and experience.

ATV experience
The ATV through the mountains is extremely fun - highly recommend. Wear glasses and full length clothes because you will get dust everywhere. Only recommendation would be to start the tour earlier because by the time we got to the salt mines the sun was setting a bit.

Great tour, efficient way to get the highlights
This tour is well organized and hits all the major sacred valley highlights. It would be impossible to fit in any more. Despite packing so much in it didn’t feel rushed. The guide Arnold was very knowledgeable and friendly. The driver was great. My only criticism is I would cut the “silver workshop” at the end.

Fantastic cooking class
Such a fun cooking class! We really enjoyed learning about the local Peruvian foods and getting to cook with them. Our chef Mauricio was very nice and even went out of his way to help us navigate a personal problem. He also paid for a taxi to take us back to the kitchen when it started raining and I didn’t have a coat. The food was all very delicious and the kitchen was very nice and clean!

The Magic of Machu Picchu
We just came back for our trip. Everything was perfect and smooth since the moment we were picked up at our hotel until the drop off
When we arrived to Aguas Calientes, Miguel our tour guide Miguel was waiting for us. Miguel was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, super nice, patient and an excellent photographer.
He explained everything about the beautiful Machu Picchu and made us feel entertained. We really enjoyed and recommend this trip.

Amazing!
My sister, a friend and I traveled with Bamba travel company to Machu Picchu on the
4 day/3 night trek.
I can’t say enough good things about the team that we were with. Our porters were amazing, helpful, and caring, especially Loco. They always had a smile on their faces! they worked so very hard carrying all of our equipment to each location where we camped. There were no alpacas, donkeys or horses used to carry the equipment. They carried 25 kg on their backs. I could barely carry 10 pounds in my day pack. They effortlessly ran up and down the steps. They made it look so easy even in the rain! They ranged anywhere from 20yo to 61yo. It was just amazing. Our chef Sanom, made each meal like a feast with minimal effort and equipment.
Our team leader Edwin was fantastic. This trek was the hardest thing that I have ever done in my life. I was always last to camp,
Edwin made sure that I was safe, he stayed with me and was my own personal cheerleader. He gave me the encouragement that I needed to finish each day. He was very knowledgeable. It was definitely fascinating to hear the history of the Incas and walk the same path that they did many, many years ago.
As I said, in the beginning, I can’t say enough good things about the team we were with. I would definitely recommend Bamba travel if you’re thinking about doing the trek to Machu Picchu. Please pass along my thanks to the team. I never would’ve made it without them.
