Let me introduce you to and guide you along the amazing gravel biking routes right in San Francisco and in the Marin Headlands. The headlands are across the Golden Gate Bridge and are the birthplace of mountain biking. Whether you are an experienced gravel cyclist or don't own a gravel bike, but are gravel curious, you will have a great time as I will craft a route for you based on your skill level and fitness. The private tour will feature amazing vistas of the Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco skyline. We'll fine tune your electric biking skills on the quiet side streets of Hollywood Dell before ascending into the Hills. Epic views of the Hollywood Sign will loom above us as we effortlessly weave through the winding canyon roads. You'll enjoy stunning views of Downtown as we loop around the Hollywood Reservoir. Then we'll kick it into high gear as we enter Griffith Park and make our final ascent to the iconic location above the Hollywood Sign. You'll be the envy of every sweaty local hiker as we pass them on our way to the top. At the summit of Mount Lee we'll take profile worthy pictures and have a snack break as we enjoy the best view in the entire city. On the way down you'll feel the wind in your hair as we breeze down the canyon side.

This is a more remote and rugged tour of Griffith Park to show the wild backside of this massive urban wilderness. Riders start on the LA River, roll into Griffith Park, the Ranger's Station and the old Zoo, dance like Ryan Gosling at Cathy's Corner (infamous site of the "LA LA Land" dance sequence) and head to Bee Rock for sweeping views of the valley across to the San Gabriel Mountains. You get a real scale of LA wrapping around the park. We'll also hug the largest avocado tree in the USA. NOTE this ride is cooler in summer, as sun is on the other side of the hill.

The chance to ride with one of the most experienced gravel cyclist in the LA area, I know these trails like the back of my hand. This tour starts out with a classic climb "Sullivan Ridge" and connects to the ridgeline of dirt Mulholland. The first climb is challenging but the reward at the top is great. From Dirt Mulholland we will travers over to "The Hub" another classic LA gravel location before making our way over to the Pacific Palisades for the best views of the ride before a fast and fun descent taking us off of the dirt and back onto pavement. The ride finishes with a nice flat cruise along the beach before heading back up San Vicente to the meeting point to head home or grab a bite to eat. Cycling enthusiasts ride from San Francisco via scenic roads and trails to Muir Woods National Monument without an advance park reservation. Depending on the route we choose, the tour will last between 4 to 6 hours. You'll be able to explore Muir Woods and optionally lunch at the quaint Pelican Inn in Muir Beach or other stops. Our tour will start from Crissy Field, cross the Golden Gate Bridge and then climb to Muir Woods National Monument via gravel trails (optional) and roads. At Muir Woods you will have an hour to immerse yourself in the tranquility of towering ancient redwoods. This is a rigorous ride with a minimum of 30 miles of riding and 2,500 feet of climbing.
