Incredible experience
Aurélien was wonderful! Very knowledgeable about his wines. He’s been living in Bordeaux for 16 years and is a sommelier. He took us to many family owned shops and the food and wine pairings were excellent. He showed us around the city and gave us many recommendations for restaurants bars and things to do. I will be telling all my family and friends about Aurelian’s tour! Highly recommend!!!!

Excellent Introduction to Foods in the area
Alexandra provided a good overview of the history of Bordeaux and locales for food within the old part of the city. We started at a park and walked to a Boulangerie to pick up à croissants and a baguette. We then proceeded to a cheese shop to review and choose cheeses to share later. Then off to a local butcher where she explained this butcher 's process and history. We selected some meats to also share later. We ended our walking tour at a local wine shop where we ended the trip with a charcuterie board and wine to share. I recommend this tour as an introduction to foods in Bordeaux.

Rodolphe is an...
Rodolphe is an outstanding guide. His knowledge of growing grapes and winemaking is exceptional. He speaks excellent English and has the ability to explain everything from terroir, harvest, and making the wine in easily understood terminology. In addition, he is friendly and funny. We visited three chateaux, all family owned but very different in character, in addition to the village of St. Emilion. All in all, this was one of the best group tours which I had ever experienced.

My friend and I really enjoyed the wine tasting and sites we visited. It was great to meet people from all over who share the appreciation for great wine. Our guide Gabe was very knowledgeable, pleasant and fun. I highly recommend this excursion for any wine enthusiast.

things_to_do

With some of the most recognized wine regions on the planet at its doorstep, Bordeaux is a bucket list destination for oenophiles and foodies. Experience it yourself with Bordeaux tours that guide you to Medoc or Saint-Emilion, both regions with centuries-old histories of red wine production. Learn what makes the region's terroir unique and try local wines from merlot or cabernet franc grapes. But even for non-drinkers, there's plenty to enjoy, from the gorgeous vineyard chateaus that warrant a postcard to charcuterie and cheese from local farms.
