Sonia was an incredible guide, and was very knowledgeable about the area and the wineries. The two Chateaus we visited were incredible and provided amazing views of the French countryside. I would absolutely recommend this tour during anyone’s visit to Bordeaux.

Definitely worthwhile. We went to two chateau wineries that were excellent and then to the main village which was very touristy but still beautiful.

Sonia, our guide, meet us near the blue lion-easy to find! She drove our group of 8 to two wineries and the village of St. Émilion. Despite the rain it was a wonderful afternoon! She gave us lots of information about the history, the area and the wine region. The hosts at the two chateaux we visited were fabulous and the wine tasting was yummy! Thanks, Sonia!

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. We love red wine and the 2 wine farms visited was really well chosen. Sonia was a really good guide, informative. Definitely a highlight for our trip to Bordeaux . Only reason for a 4/5 . Would have loved a little more time in saint-emilion

I give the tour a 3 because of the tour guide Sonia, not the vineyard experiences. The owners of the vineyards were interesting and personable. Sonia dropped the 7 people in the van at St. Emilion and told us to meet her at the van in an hour. The group of new friends sat a a cafe and had wine, cheese, and fries. We were late to the van and Sonia was not there. We waited for a while and she opened the van and did not speak to us. I know it was our fault for being late, but she could have stayed with us at the cafe instead of disappearing. Sonia was totally unprofessional, and all of us tipped her anyway. We met some people from her morning tour and they thought she was not personable.

Hi Mark,
You forgot to mention that I didn't leave you alone in the village for an hour. We started exploring the village together. We walked to the main square, saw the viewpoint, the cloister, and the church. As we left the cloister, I asked if you wanted some free time or if you wanted to continue the tour with me. I also offered to take you to a place where they offer champagne tastings. Five people in the group declined, you asked me where you could have a glass of wine, and I suggested you to to the central square. As you said, we stayed in Saint-Émilion village for an hour, and I had given you the meeting point at 5:35 PM. At 5:41 PM, since no one was there, I first called the English couple, who answered and told me that you were all at the café. I told them I would be waiting for you at the car. At 5:48 PM, I called you on your Irish number and got no answer. I also called the Australian woman and still got no answer, just like the English couple I called back—no answer either. So I went looking for you all the way to the central square, and that's when I received a WhatsApp message from the English couple saying you were at the meeting point. I had taken the main street, you had taken a side street. So I ran to the car. We left Saint-Émilion 15 minutes late.

Small group, knowledgeable guide, great wines.
The first winery Le Chatelet, had some very nice wines. The representative was very friendly and enthusiastic about the wines.
The second winery was Bernateau where they make organic wines. I am drinking some as I write this. Very reasonable and very good.

Must travel out of Bordeaux about 45 minutes to reach vineyards and wine tastings but our guide told us all about the wines and grapes of the area and a lot more about the grapes. Much to absorb. Absolutely loved the ancient town st Emillion.

It was a wonderful half day visiting the aged city of St. Emilion with its fabulous views and the surrounding wineries. Sofia, our guide, did a great job of describing the various wine regions and wines produced in the surrounding areas of Bordeaux. She was an excellent driver and planned our time wisely.

Sonia gave a great tour telling us about the various wine regions in Bordeaux. She took us to two Wineries with great wine. Max gave a great tour of his family’s winery and the art of wine tasting. Wine was excellent at both wineries. The tour of Saint Emilion was a great bonus.

We booked this tour while staying in Bordeaux and could not have been happier. Stops at 2 incredible wineries, with a visit to the unbelievable town of Saint-Emilion sandwiched in between. The guide and tastings were good, the 2 issues I had were, 1) the minibus was way to small for the group of 8, and 2) the snacks provided were very minimal and shared vs individual serving.

We visited 2 wineries and had a short visit to the village of St Emilion. Our experience was great- Vincent is super knowledgeable and passionate and wine and his English is excellent. It was an extremely hot day but the van was air conditioned and Vincent took measures to make sure we were as comfortable as possible (like giving us information inside the church instead of outside and starting the van before we got there to have the AC blasting). We enjoyed the wine and experience at both wineries, especially the first one (Chatelet). I could see how some people may complain that the time spent in the village is too short but as part of a half day tour it was fine. Plus it was too hot to walk around. The meeting point was easy to get to from city centre. A half day well spent for sure!

Great half a day. Visited 2 vineyards, a Grand Cru chateau then a smaller family run vineyard. Sofia was really wonderful, she gave us a very detailed history of Bordeaux and the different types of grape varieties during the 45min mini-bus ride.
We did 4 tastings at the first vineyard then 3 at the second.
Was a lovely half day!

Vincent is such an excellent guide - really knowledgable but accessible too and even my 13 year old daughter (who wasn’t drinking and not particularly enthusiastic beforehand about the trip thought it was a fun afternoon out). We learned so much about the Bordeaux region and winemaking. The vineyards we visited were really interesting and friendly and Saint Emilion is beautiful too. Highly recommended.

Excellent communication from Sonia beforehand, wonderful tour guide who was so knowledgeable and nice, and a total of 8 wines sampled - Saint Emilion was also lovely. I'd thoroughly recommend this tour. The car was also very comfortable and air conditioned!
