Sonia was an incredible guide, and was very knowledgeable about the area and the wineries. The two Chateaus we visited were incredible and provided amazing views of the French countryside. I would absolutely recommend this tour during anyone’s visit to Bordeaux.

the tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable! this first winery was just ok… very difficult to understand the wine process since accent was so strong, tasting area not comfortable… the second and final chateau was amazing!! loved it and the wine… i would swap the first one out for another maybe.
Vincent was an amazing guide with great enthusiasm and his knowledge of wine making and the history of the Bordeaux region was so impressive. We had a lovely time at two vineyards tasting wines. The perfect half day trip!!

We met wonderful people from England, Germany and Dallas. Enjoyed the tour emensely, got a lot of info and tasted fab wine, especially from small family owned, organic Chateau le Chatelet. Met the owner, Virginie, and she was just wonderful, funny, informative and great conversationalist. The vine was outstanding, great that they ship to US at a very reasonable cost. Loved it. Recommend
Great mix of exploring Saint Emillion early morning without the crowds then tasting wine. A mix of traditional and new approach to wine making was great to experience. Great guide who had lots of information, but not too much.

You will walk through the beautiful city of St Emilion. Sonia explained a lot of interesting stuff! And later you'll taste some very fine wines!

The tour to St Emilion was fantastic! The village is beautiful and definitely worth visiting in addition to the wineries. Sonia was a knowledgeable, interesting and personable host. She chose two quality, but contrasting wineries to visit. In my view the tour was perfect for people who enjoy and are interested in wines, but are not necessarily absolute wine buffs. 5 stars from us.
We had a wonderful time! Sonia was a great guide, very informative, and a safe driver. We liked the wines we tasted and appreciated the pairings with small snacks. We had our kids with us. They got some grape juice with their snacks. Overall, a great experience, would recommend!
Very well organised. Sonia was the perfect guide, knowledgeable, easy to understand and a very good driver! The two chateau’s that we visited were both quite different. The wines were good at both, however the second Chateau was excellent. The owner gave us an excellent insight into wine making. The wines were super and very reasonably priced. Loved it! Our time in St Emilion was enough to see the highlights. Well done a great tour.
Great experience visiting the town of St. Emillion and two chateaus for wine tasting. Sonia our guide was so knowledgeable about the area and the wines. We learned so much. This is the perfect taste. A half day introduction to the Right Bank wines. Small group felt intimate. Wear comfy shoes!

We very much enjoyed both wineries and the experts. There were very informative and wonderful. Countryside was beautiful and the wine tasting was a lot of fun. However, I asked for, even though it was supposed to be an English speaking tour spent most of his time, actually pretty much all of his time talking to the one French couple that was on the tour. Driving out, we got a little bit of narrative from him, but driving back the three of them set up front and discussed whatever the entire time. Should’ve been an English speaking tour and he should have inform us about what we were saying on the way there and back. Other than that, it was great.
We had an absolutely amazing time on our vineyard tour in Bordeaux! Vincent was a fantastic tour guide so friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about what he does. He gave us lots of really interesting and relevant information about the vineyards, wine-making and the region, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
We all had such a great time from start to finish and learned so much along the way. Vincent really made the tour special with his enthusiasm and expertise. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Bordeaux- we couldn’t have asked for a better day!
The highlight of the tour was our guide, Vincent. He is knowledgeable, funny, and passionate about wine. He’s also a good driver, which is always appreciated. The wineries were ok, but it was a lot of talking and very little wine. Although what we tasted was good, I didn’t feel like it was worth the price we paid for the experience.
The vineyards were great! I enjoyed learning about the process and traditions of the area. Very informative and the wines were delicious. I bought a bottle at the second vineyard.

The trip was organized very well - nice to visit two châteaux du vins, both to taste different wines, but also to learn something new each place. The guide was pleasent and good at explaining the wine areas. Perfect group size.
What a wonderful experience and brilliant tour organised by Viator and our guide Sonia. From the communications to our final goodbyes, we enjoyed everything. We had a brilliant group, it was small and this made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. Will definitely be using the company again for future tours. Early morning is a good time to visit Saint Emilion as it is before it gets busy. Saint Emilion is hilly so may not suit people with mobility issues
A very thought out and well organised experience - we had an awesome time and one of the best things we did whilst in Bordeaux!
Very good tastings and wineries, there were no art galleries or shops visited in St Emillion, as was stated in the itinerary. Also I chose this day tour from other companies because some free time was listed in the itinerary for the St Emillion village. When I asked our guide she said there was no free time, though we could have 10 minutes to buy a quick coffee while she watched through the window.
I attended this half day Saint Émilion tour with my mother.
Sonya our guide was absolutely brilliant. Her deep knowledge of saint emillion, Bordeaux, history, wines, the soil the grapes are grown…all in all, was incredibly easy to follow and very interesting. She was attentive with time, any breaks needed for food, coffee and was always friendly for any questions or queries.
The early morning session was great and a great choice given how busy saint emilion gets with tourists after 10am.
Highly highly recommend, completely worth the money!

Visited two Chateaus with different styles of tours and different wines. Both informative and the wines were lovely (one was an organic and one was a Grand Cru Classe).

The guide, Sonia, was great - very friendly, knowledgeable and took us to 2 contrasting chateaux, both small scale with passionate hosts. They shared their love of and pride in their produce without any heavy selling pressure. We went to St Emilion at 9 on a Sunday morning - perfect, quiet and extremely picturesque.
It was such a hot day for our half day tour in St Emilion with Sonia but she remained peofessional at all times.
Both wineries were nice but the first one was more special.
Visiting the St Emilion village was also lovely at the end of the trip.
Such a fun and informative excursion! Did not feel rushed and the vineyards selected are the top quality!
