Day Trips from Bordeaux to Pomerol

Spend a day exploring the wines and traditions of one of France’s most celebrated wine regions on this full-day, small-group tour from Bordeaux. Instead of worrying about routes and planning, travel by air-conditioned minivan across Bordeaux’s vineyard-covered hills and visit several wineries for tastings. A gourmet picnic lunch is included.

Drive the Bordeaux Right Bank yourself, with a GPS audio guide that plays automatically as you go. Your booking unlocks the whole region in the free Wine Trails app: pick your date and starting point, Saint-Émilion, Libourne or Bordeaux, and the app builds your personal route with turn-by-turn narration. Narrated stories cover the people and the ground: you'll hear why the Jurisdiction became the first vineyard landscape UNESCO ever listed, how the Jurade got its charter from King John in 1199, what blue clay does for Pétrus, and how a garagiste with a 0.6-hectare plot outscored it in 1995. No group, no schedule, no guide; pause for a long lunch in the village, replay anything, and the audio keeps working when the signal drops, because everything downloads offline. You'll need a car and a designated driver; château visits are booked and paid directly with the estates. Also works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto!

The neighboring wine appellations of Pomerol and Saint-Emilion produce some of Bordeaux’s most celebrated wines, and this full-day tour visits both in one day. Visit two Grand Cru Classé wineries, learn about the winemaking process on behind-the-scenes tours of the wineries, and enjoy exclusive guided wine tastings led by a WSET-certified wine expert. Along the way, visit the UNESCO-listed town of Saint-Emilion, and enjoy a picnic lunch at a wine chateau.

Experience the beauty of Saint–Émilion by e-bike, and stop for wine tastings along the way, on this two-in-one, small-group tour from Bordeaux. Begin with a guided tour of this UNESCO-listed city. Learn the history of the local wine industry as you to cycle past famous chateaux, stop at a Growth Classified winery for lunch and a wine tasting, and visit a family-run estate to sample fine local varietals.
