Itinerary
Meet your guide and small group in central Bordeaux, hop aboard an air-conditioned vehicle, and set off to explore either the Saint-Émilion or Médoc wine regions, depending on what you selected when booking.
If you chose the Médoc tour, enjoy the scenic drive along the storied Castle Road, passing well-known châteaux including Mouton-Rothschild, Latour, or Margaux. Along the way, learn more about the history of the Bordeaux wine region from your guide.
Arrive at your first classified growth château for a vineyard visit and wine tasting. Tour the wine cellars, hear about the wine-making process, and sample several wines.
After a quick photo stop at the iconic Château Margaux, head to another winery. Try local wines paired with an aperitif platter featuring cured meats, cheese, dark chocolate, and baguettes.
If you selected the Saint-Émilion wine tour, drive through the scenic French countryside on the way to a classified growth château.
Try the château's wine as you nibble on an assortment of local cheeses, fresh bread, and cured meats, and learn about the wine-making process from your guide.
From there, head for a tour of the village of Saint-Émilion itself, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
At the end of either tour, return to your original Bordeaux departure point.

Great tour! Vicky was amazing and full of such great information. We had our 10 & 12 year olds with us and they provided the kids juice to taste during the wine tasting. Lovely spread of bread, cheese and chocolates as well. Well done tour & experience.

We had a lovely afternoon tour in St Emilion. Our guide Hugo was very knowledgeable & the vineyard visit was great fun. Hugo ended the trip to St Emilion with a special visit to an underground wine cave. Was a fun & informative way to spend a Saturday afternoon

We had a lovely tour of St Emilion with Fabien - who was an excellent tour guide. Fabien was very knowledgeable about many different aspects around the region, including the winemaking, history and architecture.
We did the half day tour which included a guided tour around St. Emilion and a visit to a winemaker where we tasted 3 different wines accompanied by some cheese, saucisson, bread and chocolate to accompany the tasting.
Easy to find pick up and drop off location, prompt departure and arrival back to Bordeaux.

The Chateau in St Emillion was beautiful & a fun experience! Just beware if you choose the St Emillion excursion, you only get to go to 1 Chateau where you taste 3 wines and that’s it for the wine tasting

We really enjoyed our wine experience to Medoć and our visit to several wonderful Chateau’s. The guide/host was knowledgeable, friendly, polite and explained the history about the wine growing region of Bordeaux. The drive was comfortable and host spoke really good English and Spanish. The host kept us engaged and also gave us some recommendations of local places to eat and wine and cognac to try. We had a great time and recommend the trip to everyone.

We did the Medoc Winery tour and it was fabulous. Mel was our guide and she was charming. The 2 chateaus were very different but both of them had good wine. We really enjoyed our afternoon tasting Bordeaux wines.

Nice tour guides and good wine but very small pours. Spent most of time in the car and stuck in traffic which ruined the experience. Overall experience felt very cheep.

Tebo took us ( small group of 8) in nice van up to St Emilion. We walked around little village, so old and charming. Tebo told us lots of stories, history. Then we drove down to chateau for wine tour and tasting!

My husband and I did a half day Medoc tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thibault was an amazing guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and extremely easy to get along with. I was allowed to book at 14 and the tour departures at 14. I was there at 14.04 and there was anyone so I lost the tour without being refund

Firstly, we can confirm that you have been refunded for this tour.
Secondly, all our tours are programmed so that they cannot be booked less than one hour before the start of the tour. In your case, as the tour departed at 2pm, it should not have been possible to book it.
We will report this malfunction to the VIATOR platform so that they can investigate their error.

Tebo was amazing at explaining where certain wines were made in the area. He was funny, knowledgeable, and great to explore with. It was clear he loves what he does. The tour itself was beautiful and the village and chateau were stunning and rich with history. The wine tasting itself was also excellent! I believe our experts name was Amir and he was also amazing! It was engaging and they shared lovely wines from their region. I HIGHLY recommend for anyone, even those who don’t love wine. My boyfriend had a blast and wasn’t a fan of the wine; but the atmosphere and culture was wonderful. We saw St. Emilion and next time I will book again in Medoc!
