What are people saying about Bordeaux

Wonderful Experience!
This tour was very small so you can ask the guide any questions. They take a maximum of 8 people and they have a nice office to meet at starting the tour. It was a short 1 hour drive to the winery which is a small villa in the country. The guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the grapes and wine making process. Tasting 4 different wines was a great education and the cheese and fresh bread was delicious. Highly recommend this tour if you are looking for a small group and small winery with lots of education.

Good guide, good wine.
We enjoyed this wine tour as we had limited time to explore Bordeaux and this half day tour fit our itinerary. The drive is lovely. Our tour guide Alex was funny, friendly and informative. The town of St. Emilion is stunningly beautiful and well worth the visit. The wineries themselves were a bit underwhelming and not the gorgeous Chateau I expecting. However, the wine we tasted was quite good and we do recommend this tour.

Awesome outing
We had a wonderful electric bike tour through the countryside. It was well organized with lots of stops and very nice Chateaus were chosen for us to visit. If it is going to be sunny wear a hat and sunscreen. You won't realize that you are burned until afterwards. The bikes had multiple levels of assistance. It was one of our favorite activities while we were in Bordeaux!

Book this tour.
The Transportation Van and ride to the vineyards was excellent. The Lunch by a master chef delivered with quality ingredient's and flavors. All three wineries were top notch with two of them being organic based. Highly recommend O’lala tours. Very professional.

Excellent day tour
We had a fantastic day, our lovely and knowledgeable guide Eloise looked after us for the day keeping us safe and ensuring we had a great experience, good choice of chateaux’s and wines for tasting with knowledgeable hosts, excellent and generous picnic lunch in a pretty garden setting with yummy cakes/pastry to follow with excellent hosts

Great day with Mathis
We had a wonderful day with Mathis leading us. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. He gave us so much information that we will be able to use when we continue to explore wines after we return home. He showed us beautiful chateaux while explaining their history and current use/production. Overall a great experience.

Gorgeous dune and great lunch
It was a great day out! The dune was beautiful and lunch was great. Be aware that the dune walk is strenuous! I'm in reasonably good shape, but I struggled a bit, as did others in our group. Kevin was a friendly helpful guide, but he was much more comfortable with the Spanish speakers than the English speakers. And he switched between extremes of "no hurry, take your time" and "hurry up, we have to rush."

Fabulous cycle tour
This was a great way to see a lot of Bordeaux in 3 hours! As well as the historic sights of the old town, we got to cross the river to see a lovely arty area that we would not have found on our own! The tour guide was jus lovely and very knowledgeable and she made the whole experience a real pleasure! Highly recommended!

Fantastic!
My husband and I and one other couple were the only ones on this small group tour. It was a beautiful sunny and warm spring day and our guide Paola was very friendly and informative, sharing her love of wine and answering our many questions. We had an hour of free time in Saint-Emilion, a beautiful small town with many great unique shops. The two wineries we went to both had delicious wine and knowledgeable guides. We tasted four wines at each location and each had its own distinctive flavour. Paola put together a lovely lunch with a bottle of wine for us after the first winery and we sat and enjoyed conversation, and great food! I highly recommend this tour and Paola for a relaxing day of learning and tasting!

Alex Wine!
This is a great tour. A mix of winery sizes and regions. All were so knowledgeable and the tour did not seem like they were giving a rehearsed speech. Alex is phenomenal, smart, funny with a wide knowledge base about wine and French history. The stop in St. Emillion was also a treat. It was a great day!

I learned a lot from this...
I learned a lot from this tasting experience. The tasting experience was in French, even though I thought I had put in the English filter. That being said the facilitator did try to include English and my translation app did the rest. I recommend, lovely wine and good information that I have used since I got home

Great day in St Emilion and surrounding area.
This was definitely one of the highlights of our 2 week trip. The whole experience along with our guide Fabian made for an excellent day. Highly recommend.
From the tour pace, the historical highlights, the wine and cultural information. Fabian was outstanding. Our lunch inside the chateau was more than we expected and surely a highlight.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
With Atlantic Coast beach resorts, world-famous vineyards, and forest hiking and biking trails on its doorstep, Bordeaux day trips offer a wide variety of experiences. Wine lovers are particularly spoiled for choice—you can cycle or drive a classic car around the vineyards, sample some of Bordeaux’s famous reds, or enjoy a tasting at a wine chateau. But you can also discover Bordeaux beyond the wineries. Climb Europe’s highest sand dune, sample France’s most famous oysters, or sail along the coast on a cruise.
