Awesome food tour with Nat
Excellent way to orient yourself to La Candelaria in Bogota and try a variety of Colombian dishes. I’ve got a healthy appetite and I promise you that you will not need dinner. Natalia (Nat) was awesome-knowledgeable, personable, and proud of her culture and city. Really good pacing and amazing variety in the choices of food, also! Highly recommend!

A Must Do To Better Appreciate Bogotá
This was a perfect way to start our stay in Bogotá! As many reviews mentioned, Andres is a wonderful guide, keeping us well cared for & energized. When I was booking I had a couple of questions that weren’t answered in other reviews so I’m including our personal answers here for the next person. Namely: is the walk too strenuous if you’re concerned about adapting to the altitude? & is the day after you land too soon to do this? We had an altitude change of nearly 8000 ft the afternoon before the tour and didn’t struggle with it at all. It’s a relatively easy walk with the minimal amount of slopes and stairs nicely spaced out. The pace is very casual. If you’re also concerned about strenuous activity the day after you land, it may not be an issue as it wasn’t for us. The tour itself was so fun! It’s a whole day activity. We loved our small group, learning about the history of the country & city & of course eating & drinking delicious things. Thank you for a lovely day, Andres! We know it has already & will continue to deepen our appreciation of Colombia.

The Best Bogota Private Tour!
I recently spent an unforgettable day exploring Bogotá with Gran Colombia Tours, and it was easily one of the highlights of my entire trip. My guide, Camilo, was nothing short of exceptional — a true ambassador of Colombia whose passion for his country shines through in every story, every explanation, and every moment he shares. Over the course of seven hours, Camilo brought Bogotá to life. From the breathtaking views atop Monserrate to the colorful streets of La Candelaria, he wove together history, culture, humor, and insight in a way that made every stop feel meaningful. His knowledge of the Gold Museum, the Botero Museum, and the Basilica Primada was deep and engaging, and he had a gift for connecting Colombia’s past with its present. Our driver, Oscar, was also wonderful — kind, attentive, and always making sure we were comfortable and safe. Together, they created a seamless experience that felt both personal and expertly organized. The coffee and fruit tasting, the walk through Chorro de Quevedo, the art, the stories, the flavors — it all added up to a day I’ll never forget. If you want a tour that goes beyond sightseeing and truly immerses you in the heart of Colombia, ask for Camilo. He represents his country with pride, warmth, and genuine love.

Guatavita Lagoon and Zapiquira Cathedral and Salt Mine
This is a great tour. 160m up to the Lagoon in Guatavita and 180m down at the Zapiquira Cathedral and salt mine. A wonderful experience both above and below ground. Juan Carlos was a fabulous guide who expertly guided us through the history of El Dorado and the Muisca, Grand Colombia, Spanish independence to modern day Colombian politics. Truly uplifting and inspiring.
