My partner and I had a great time on this tour. Many said to just book the ticket for the Funicular and go but I am happy I did the tour because I was able to get an in-depth knowledge of Monserrate, something I would not have gotten if I just went on my own.
Everything was explained well and all of my questions were answered. I am happy that I did this tour and I would encourage anyone who wants to learn the history to book this tour. Once the tour concludes you are free to stay and do your own exploration which we did. So I did not feel rushed at all.
If you go on the weekends, especially on Sunday expect long lines when it comes to the cable car or the funicular.

If you want a Monserrate only tour that covers the history and takes you through the site, this is the way to go.
Liz is a patient and knowledgeable guide. She was a great host for 90 minutes!

The guide was easy to find and had good knowledge of the history of Monserrate. Our tickets included the cable car which was a good choice as walking up at 10000ft altitude would have done us.

If you want a stress free way to see beautiful Monserrate, this is it. Our guide made it so easy to get our tickets and get on the gondola to the top. Once there, he showed us all the best photo spots and gave us plenty of local history. Loved this experience.

Our guide Cristian was amazing. Very informative and tailored the tour to our interests and went at a comfortable pace. He even walked us back to our hostel safely afterwards and gave us recommendations for the rest of our stay.
There wasn’t as much walking as I expected since we took the cable car (included in the tour ticket). Everything was very beautiful and many photo opportunities!

Easy to find meeting place. Good tour with history of the area and Columbus. Guide was friendly, great English. Super fast access to the cable cars!

Very nice scenery and plenty of opportunities for pictures. Make sure to take breaks if needed due to the altitude. Jose was very knowledgeable about the mountain and church.

The tour was a great experience. The views from the top of Monserrate were stunning. Amazing foliage and birdwatching at the top, as well. It was nice that the tickets were already included in the cost of this tour, which saves time waiting in line.
Gerald was an amazing tour guide. He was knowledgeable and personable, he spoke both English and Spanish, which he did for our tour. He went above and beyond after the tour, assisting me and my girlfriend with transportation and food options.
Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting Bogota.

Montserrate is clearly iconic, and must see when you visit Bogota. Even if you aren't religious, you can't miss the amazing views of the city from the top of the hill. I found that it was really time saving to get the tour, since the guide already has the tickets and saves time. Also, the tour is full of interesting facts about the side and the city. I definitely recommend this tour.
