The tour operator was about to cancel the tour because it was just me. Luckily two more persons joined on the evening before the tour.
Our guide Jaquelin is superb. She knows her stuff as a guide and has a charmingly joyful way of delivering it.
The tour takes to see the views over Bogota from Monserrate and is a great way to learn about Bogota, Candelaria and Colombia.

Fascinating. Take it. Jacqueline is a great guide. She knows a lot. She is very good at explaining and even takes great pictures. She accommodated to our likes and went beyond what she had to. I don't know if you can request a tour guide but if you can, request Jacqueline. The only thing I want much food of was the food. Soup was great but second wasn't. Maybe correct that.

I had a fantastic walking tour in Bogota with Nat. We explored La Candelaria, visited Monserrate, the Gold Museum, and Botero, and even sampled some great local snacks. Nat is incredibly informative and knows her city inside out.
What really impressed me was how she handled a setback when my phone was stolen. She went above and beyond, helping me speak with the police and taking me to a shop to buy a new phone. As a solo traveler, having her support was invaluable. Despite the incident, I had a great trip. I highly recommend Nat to anyone visiting—she truly looks out for her guests!

Yuli was an amazing tour guide! Her expertise and love for the heritage and culture of Colombia weaved throughout the tour. We tried lots of food we otherwise wouldn’t have been comfortable ordering on our own. The food was delicious too! Highly recommend this tour, we’ll work the money. Tour was in both Spanish and English.

Highlights of Bogota and plenty of food! Pretty good pace with some rest spots while snacking/ eating. Attentive and accommodating host.

Our tour guide, she is Amazing!
Yaqueline's energy and passion for her job was everything to make this tour very remarkable and memorable.
Explained everything and very patient with everyone, specially us this is our first time in a different country and getting adjusted with the weather and altitude.
Yaqueline's explanation in Spanish and english is very good so everyone got a chance to hear about the history, culture and cuisine.
I highly recommend a tour with her for sure!

We had a great time exploring Bogota. Gaby did an outstanding job with lots of knowledge throughout the tour. We highly recommend her and this experience!

The “Full City Tour” with The True Colombian Experience was a great way to orient myself to Bogota, learn some history and get acquainted with the culture. I was solo and that was perfectly comfortable. Natalia was a wonderful guide and I enjoyed spending the day with her.
Punctuating the tour with interesting food stops was perfect for me- got to try different things I wouldn’t have known about on my own and kept up a steady flow of fuel for the walking and altitude adjustment.
I feel really comfortable exploring on my own now, but would book more tours like this with The True Colombian Experience (hello chocolate and coffee tour) if I had more time here.

Luis was great! Learned so much and had plenty of time to do so much! The food was more than enough so sustain us throughout. The infusion of social and political realities within Colombia was also helpful to understand the country and how it functions today.

Great way to get introduced to Bogota. The views of the city from Monserrate are amazing, but to me the highlight of the tour is the walk through the Candelaria neighborhood. Liz our guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience very enjoyable. The food tasting were a special touch.

Lorena was a fantastic host that made it feel like we were just hanging out as a group of friends. We saw so much of the city, learned a ton and had great food experiences. Highly recommended!

The tour pushed through even though I was the only participant. I couldn't ask for a better guide than Andrea who could explain very well in both English and Spanish, per my request, and answer my questions. I highly recommend this tour if you're pressed for time and want to see the highlights of the historical centre (Montserrate, La Candelaria, Botero, and Plaza Bolivar) and sample the typical dishes, coffee, and coca tea.

I was only in Bogota for a couple days and looked at many tours, this one seemed like great value with a lot of things to see! Our guide was Natalie and she was great! Her English was really good so I was able to understand and she was very knowledgeable of the area. The tour included multiple stops for food, so come hungry!
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you, Julie! We’re honored you chose our tour for its value and variety. It’s great to hear Natalie’s English and local insights made your brief Bogotá stay so memorable. Whenever you’re back in town, we’ll have more culinary and cultural stops waiting for you; come hungry!

Our tour with Jackie was very enjoyable. She was personable and eager to pass her love for Colombia and Bogota on to us. She progressed at our speed and showed both historical Bogota as well as cultural. The museums were an interesting and unique part of the tour. The food was very authentic and from local vendors. The trip up the mountain and the view from the top was the best. Jackie was especially helpful in joyfully taking pictures of our group whenever we requested, and her English was complete and easily to understand. We would recommend this tour.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you, Robert! Jackie is thrilled you appreciated her pace, passion for Colombia, and photo; ready spirit. We’re glad the mix of history, local; vendor foods, and Monserrate’s views exceeded your expectations. We’d love to welcome you again to rediscover Bogotá’s highlights!

It was a lot of walking so you need to have endurance. My tour guide Natalia was great!!!! Very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating to our needs. It was only 3 of us in this tour. I highly recommend it.
Mike_H, Apr 2025
Our guide, Nat, was friendly, and we had a pleasant group for the tour. However, the overall experience felt disorganized. We began with breakfast, where we could choose a few items from a menu, but there was little explanation of what the dishes were. Some items were served quickly, while others required us to follow up, which felt a bit chaotic.
Throughout the tour, our guide walked at a very fast pace, often leaving some group members struggling to keep up. At several stops, we were given minimal context or background, and were simply told, “I’ll meet you here in 30 minutes.” While the day had some enjoyable moments, the lack of structure and communication made it feel somewhat disconnected.
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Hello and good morning
Sorry to hear you have this experience
We always looking for give the best experiences to our visitors. All this week **thursday santo on the catholic holly week ** everything is super chaotic in the city. Majority of the places we normally go are close and we have to use a lot of second options like for example the museum gold and Botero and some of the restaurants are close (even that we organize second options some of the restaurants just take a day of without say; and Monserrate is super full because so many catholic visitors. We appreciate you have take the time to write a feedback and we will use for to keep growing believe us we always listen and grow and we have spoke with Nat too. and also for to know what to do the next year in semana santa or other big holly days in Colombia when the city get supper full. We hope you keep having a great time in Colombia. And all the blessings for you.

The tour was great and our tour guide, Liz, was fantastic. She was incredibly knowledgeable, very organized, super friendly and she took us to all the best spots, from the Monserrate to the Museo del Oro and all the communities and plazas in between. We stopped along the way to sample various food and drinks. And Liz gave a great history of all the local cuisines. I highly recommend the tour!

Great experience learn alot of the culture of bogota. It’s a little tiring due to amount of walking but I enjoyed every minute of it
Zahra_A, Feb 2025
Great way to get a quick lay of the land when you're new to the city. I had the guide to myself which was great so I could ask as many questions as I liked.
Dominic_C, Feb 2025
Gabriela gave an in depth tour to introduction of Bogota. It was a full day event, and we started off with exploring Monserrate, Candeleria, trying local foods and drinks and learning more about the history of Bogota. I was very surprised how in depth the tour was. While it may be pricey, I highly recommend this tour. It’s a great introduction to your first day in Bogota!

Luis was awesome! He was super kind, and I felt like I was visiting the beautiful city of Bogota with a friend. This tour was a great way to see and taste so much—there were so many tastings, samplings and meals; all delicious! Great tour, great food, and great company!
Bongozozo_T, Dec 2024
Absolutely outstanding. Marcel was the best; made a new friend. The tasting menu at all the places was so so good, especially the fruit
Clifford_M, Nov 2024
Great introduction to Bogota. Saw all the major sites, tasted a bunch of local foods and fruits plus got some of the history and cultural background of the things we were looking at from our guide.
Brooke_B, Nov 2024
I had a great time getting to see and learn about bogotá with our tour guide Cristian. The tour started by going to the top of Monserrate where there were beautiful views. Cristian was nice enough to take pictures of all of us. After that, we went back down and made several stops for food. It was a lot of food so make sure you’re hungry! But after walking and having some tea I felt good. We finished at the museo oro (gold museum) which was super interesting. Honestly I could have spent more time there looking at all of the pieces. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Yesterday, I had one of the most amazing experiences with this tour company, and my guide that I have ever had traveling in the entire world. My tour guide, Natalia, provided me the tour even though I was the only one that signed up. She met me on time and explained everything that the day would consist of, and she was so knowledgeable, professional, friendly, multilingual, and accommodating! One of the best tour guides I have ever experienced in my life. We walked the city and I learned so much about the history of Columbia. She let me walk at my own pace up to Montserrat where we enjoyed amazing panoramic views of the city and more discussion about history and birdwatching. we walked all through the city and went to places where I ate so much food. I couldn’t believe they provide this much food on the trip. Met some friends of hers at a chocolate store and also went to an amazing fruit stand and learned all about the fruits and vegetables of Columbia. Anyone visiting Bogotá Columbia needs to get with this tour company and Natalia for a beautifully orchestrated and extremely affordable experience. I am so grateful that my path crossed with Natalia. She was the highlight of my trip to Bogotá.

This was an amazing tour. We took the cable car up to Montserrat and visited the cathedral there. The views were spectacular!! Then our guide Liz treated us to several traditional Colombian dishes and also a lesson and tasting of delicious Colombian coffee. I highly recommend this tour!

This tour was the perfect introduction to Bogota! Our guide, Gina, was excellent. Her passion for her city was infectious. She was so generous in sharing her extensive knowledge with us and she went the extra mile in ensuring that all her guests were catered for.
The tour included a cable car ride to the top of Montserrate, a visit to the Gold Museum, several delicious food samples, and loads of information on the history and culture of this fascinating city, as well as personal recommendations from Gina as to how to spend the rest of our time in Bogota.
I urge any visitors to Bogota to book this tour.
