Top Bogotá Walking Tours

This was a perfect way to start our stay in Bogotá! As many reviews mentioned, Andres is a wonderful guide, keeping us well cared for & energized. When I was booking I had a couple of questions that weren’t answered in other reviews so I’m including our personal answers here for the next person. Namely: is the walk too strenuous if you’re concerned about adapting to the altitude? & is the day after you land too soon to do this? We had an altitude change of nearly 8000 ft the afternoon before the tour and didn’t struggle with it at all. It’s a relatively easy walk with the minimal amount of slopes and stairs nicely spaced out. The pace is very casual. If you’re also concerned about strenuous activity the day after you land, it may not be an issue as it wasn’t for us. The tour itself was so fun! It’s a whole day activity. We loved our small group, learning about the history of the country & city & of course eating & drinking delicious things. Thank you for a lovely day, Andres! Bogotá, Colombia, is a rich, fascinating, and great city. There is much to see in a compact area! We started with a tram ride to the top of Monserrate (over 10,000 feet) and finished with museum tours in the center of the old town. My guide, GIGIO, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to show many cultural sites and connect them with Colombia's history, both past and present. The entire experience left me with the desire to revisit Bogota and vacation in South America.
