Walk through the picturesque cobbled streets of La Candelaria and visit the Botero Museum, which features over 100 pieces of artwork from the eccentric artist who has become an icon of Colombian contemporary art, Fernando Botero. Then, stop at Chorro de Quevedo to appreciate the diverse contrasts that the historical center offers and learn more about Bogotá's history.
From there, proceed with your guide to the Plaza de Bolívar (Bolívar Plaza) to take in some of the city’s most famous historic structures surrounding the main square, such as La Catedral Primera and the Capitolio Nacional (National Capitol).
Continue on to Bogotá’s incredible Museo de Oro, home to one of the world’s largest collections of Pre-Columbian gold objects. Then you have a chance to shop at a local handicrafts market at Santander Park.
There is also the option to visit Monserrate Sanctuary, which sits atop the Eastern Hills. Reach the peaceful religious pilgrimage site by cable car and take in the incredible views of Bogota below before heading down the mountain for a drop-off back at your hotel.

Monserrate was lovely and walking through LA Candeleria was ok. No info from guide on the way to Monserrate unless we asked questions about where we were and what we were seeing. Gold Museum fo us was a waste of time. Once you have seen the first little bit it just repeats, but then we are not museum people. Being taken to an Emerald shop and a souvenir shop selling coffee, and again expected to buy was awkward to say the least. No wall art/graffiti seen at all. Overall 5 hours could have been 2 or 3 and the rest skipped. Felt like the whole tour was on slow motion to take up the allotted time.

This was a private tour with a driver and tour guide. Very Knowledgeable and accommodating. It was great. We visited Monserrate, the Museum of Goldf and Botero. We also tasted local Ajiaco and Bandeja Paisa. It was long enough (3 1/2 hrs) to enjoy the 3 visits. Jhovanny was very thorough and tried to please us in every wish. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful private tour with guide Juan Carlos and driver George. After a hotel pickup when headed up to Monserrate for spectacular views of Bogota and tour or the religious shrines. It was then on to the Gold Museum, La Candaleria and Bolivar Square. The tour was well paced with a variety of stops to see Bogota in different ways. There is no lunch break so you will have to catch something on the go or even head to McDonalds after the tour is over. Once making it through Bogota traffic it was back to my hotel after a full day. As we drove through the city Juan Carlos pointed out many of the cities districts schools and hospitals to give me a great feel for the city. When in La Candaleria in the Bottero Museum I even saw my first Picasso paintings. I enjoyed the part of the tour which had us walk through the city, giving a good sense of the spirit of Bogota.

We had a great time visiting the Museo de Oro, amazing to see all the gold and the stories that went along with it. We took the funicular up and down the Mount Monserrate rather than the cable car because it was less of a wait time. What an amazing view! Jorge, our guide took us to La Candelaria and we saw some beautiful murals as well as introduced us to native foods and fruits of Columbia. I would definitely recommend this tour.
