Our experience with this tour was outstanding from start to finish. After we had issues with our hotel and missed the tour on our first day, the team kindly rescheduled us without any hassle, which we truly appreciated. This is a delightful way to learn about Bogotá and it gets into the depth of history of Colombia. The tour guide was excellent-informative, patient, and personable. I really enjoyed learning about the old city and how it has transformed over the past centuries.
Tips: bring a light jacket and an umbrella. It is customary to tip the tour guide if they provided a good experience (but not required at all). Check with your home country customs before buying anything food related to take home.

However, based on our operational records, it is impossible that the guide was not at the meeting point. We operate several tours that depart from the exact same location at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, and multiple guides are present at the same time assisting different groups. All of our guides are clearly identifiable with a yellow umbrella at the meeting point.
Because several tours depart simultaneously, our guides remain there receiving travelers during the departure window. It is possible there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the exact meeting point or timing.

This was a nice walking tour of the La Candelaria neighborhood. Yvonne, our guide, was quite knowledgeable and made the tour fun. Definitely recommend it, specially for first time visitors.

This was a great introduction for someone who has never been to Bogota. Learned some things and got to see some historical things. It was a nice little walking tour. The guide was very good and I’m so sorry. I forgot his name. It was a 2 PM tour on November 22 but he was ex.

For someone who knows little about Colombia or Bogotá, it is a good introduction. We had to leave 2/3 of the way through the tour to catch a plane. While we were there, the tour touched on local fruits, gold, coffee, and basic history. The difficulty was that the tour operator spoke very fast and with a thick accent. I am a good listener and tried to concentrate and understand, but I was only able to understand about half of what he was saying. And I am from New York, so I am used to people talking with accents. This was too much. It sounded like Spanish, not English.

Sara was such a wonderful guide! Very sweet, helpful and knowledgable. One of our stops was in the old market and the men’s bathroom ran out of soap. I asked if she could pass me some soap from the women’s restroom and she did (most Americans would find that weird and I greatly appreciate this hospitality).
I will say, we learned probably more about culture and food than history but it was great. Great group as well.
Some recommendations for the tour (not to Sara but the company as a whole):
1. When we’re in the market it would be cool to call-out getting chicha and coca tea. This is a unique experience people want just as much as the fruit tasting. I ordered coca tea for half of the group and they loved it. Not something you’ll ever get in Europe or the US.
2. Mention about how the uprising against Spain begin in the flower market next to the Cathedral. We were right there but no mention.
3. Maybe show some photos of what Bogota looked like pre-Spanish influence and more about the native culture. Seeing old photos or pictures of dioramas are amazing.
