This tour was one of the best experiences of my life. Our guide was outstanding. The scenery was beautiful and the waterfalls were jaw-dropping. Lunch was perfectly Colombian and so delicious. I highly recommend this tour. However being a somewhat experienced hiker is recommended.

Had a great time hiking La Chorrera, even in the rain! Luis made sure I was okay and comfortable with the pace/speed at all times and providing information thought the hike and drives. Would really recommend to see some nature if you have the time whilst in Bogotá.

Jorge was an amazing guide who was very knowledgeable of the areas history and the 6 diverse natural regions of Colombia. The hike is definitely an intermediate level (various steep trails throughout); however, we had anticipated this based on the description and other reviews. I also recommend adding in the lunch (our option) which is locally sourced and delicious! The time was as described, we left our hotel at 8am and returned at 3pm. We went during the week and during the rainy season, so there were no crowds for us. Highly recommend this trip if you enjoy viewing the Colombian countryside, waterfalls, hiking, and learning more about the area!

Myself and a friend had a great experience hiking with Jorge and being picked up by a private driver. The drive itself was about an hour and half to the bottom of a gravel road in beautiful farmland. It was super cloudy driving up but we luckily had mostly clear conditions hiking. The hike was about two hours and intermediate difficulty. Jorge had great English, led us at a good pace despite the high altitude, and was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. The hike was very beautiful. We booked With Lunch which was served at the restaurant at the park entrance. The beef was delicious.
It’s a really great out and back hike to see El Chifon and the base of La Chorrea. Our guide and driver gave us a great experience. We were even able to briefly visit Santuario de Guadalupe on the way back. Would definitely recommend.

First off my English speaking guide Camilo was on time at 7:00AM which I recommend to leave from your hotel. The drive was about an hour and a half I went on a Tuesday and there were only 7-10 guests in the park on a beautiful day. The hike for us was perfect conditions 90% dry paths no slippery areas I am 66 and we were climbing up and down for a total of 8000 steps before we reached the top I arrived less than 16 hours from sea level and even though I needed to stop to catch my breath managed to handle the trail with no real difficulty,
The views of both waterfalls were spectacular and I have seen many all over the world
I would highly recommend going I was back to my hotel y 3pm and Camilo is a wealth of knowledge on many subjects about Columbia

Steven was exceptional. He’s very passionate about his Country and enjoyed educating me about Columbia and the Natives. He was very welcoming, friendly, and made the hike enjoyable. When the hike became challenging for me he was attentive and gave rest breaks were needed enabling completion of the hike. He gave a delicious lunch suggestion at the end of the hike. Overall, great hike and Steven is the best!!!!!

We had a great experience with Steven who was our guide for the hike! Would recommend the experience for anyone who wants to get out in nature and experience a truly spectacular waterfall. I would say the hike is moderately hard with some up and down hill parts.

My experience with the tour was very good. The driver and guide were on time and the guide was very attentive with lots of good information about the ecosystem as well as patience with my slow hiking speed. The food for lunch was tasty and the portion was more than enough. I can recommend this service if you are looking for an outdoors day trip from Bogota.

The hike is very strenuous and while I hike 3 miles every day up and down desert hills and through sand washes....I could not do this trail as many steps are a foot in height. Two family members did make the hike but they were beat at the end. The first waterfall is relatively easy hike. The second waterfall trail is very very strenuous. We were 3 people and the guide picked us up in a compact car, so we were crammed into backseat for an hour and a half going and a hour coming back. We asked to stop and take picture of Bogota from top of hill and guide and driver declined.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the hike felt more challenging than expected. While this trail does include some steps and uneven terrain, it is generally not considered a difficult hike. Most of our travelers complete it without issues, but we understand that each person's experience may vary depending on their fitness level.
Regarding the viewpoint, it is not included in the tour itinerary, which is why the stop was not made. We regret that we couldn’t be more flexible in this case, but adding the stop would have extended the tour by an additional hour, which was not possible as it was already late for both the guide and the driver.
As for the transportation, we assign vehicles according to the group size. For groups of up to 3 people, we use a sedan vehicle, while for groups of 4 or more, we provide a van. We regret if the space was not as comfortable as expected, and we appreciate your feedback on this matter.

Beautiful views! The hike and waterfall had multiple beautiful views along the way. We had a perfect day weather wise. The hike itself is strenuous, especially for those not as used to the elevation (8K+ feet). The path is also slippery and muddy so be prepared show wise. Well worth it though.

This was great get away from the city. I enjoyed walking in the nature and it was beautiful. It was a little hard hike but manageable. I would not recommend for kids or older people. I saw two waterfalls and it was pretty. My tour guide Mayra was very knowledgeable and smart. She even talked about other historical and cultural things. She showed me where to buy the best chocolate to take home. Out driver was very professional. I recommend this trip if you come to Bogata.

Great hike! We kept a good pace and after leaving the city at 8a we were already back to the hotel just a bit after 2p. Leslie was an excellent guide and knew so much about flora & fauna. Juan David was a wonderful driver, navigating through the crazy mountain turns. Highly recommend this trip if you need a break for the city. It wasn’t too tactical but we didn’t feel a bit winded because of the elevation. All in all, I would say it’s a nice workout but not strenuous if you’re relatively fit.

This was an incredible hike! My guide Camilo was amazing! He made sure my experience was tailored to my needs, and as a solo traveler he made the experience a safe and wonderful experience even giving me suggestions for my whole trip to Bogota! The hike was not as difficult as I had hoped (but I am a very experienced hiker that has hiked in the Alps) I have very rarely seen such beautiful scenery without a very difficult hike before it! SO VERY worth booking it!

Camilo was an excellent guide! He transported us safely to the trail head. He was patient, kind and informative while we navigated the trek. We were lucky to meet several pups along the way. The waterfall was powerful and beautiful. The hard work was indeed worthwhile. We loved it!

Amazing waterfall hike at La Chorea. Leslie was a fantastic and knowledgable guide. She went over the rocks like a gazelle. Hike was beautiful, even in the dry season. Food provided was tasty. The ride there is long and bumpy.

About 90 minutes from bogota. Hike is 2.5 km one way. Some steep and rocky sections. Check there is water in the waterfall in advance. Our guide informed us in advance it was dry but we decided to go anyway and enjoyed the hike and landscape. We were very satisfied.

I really enjoyed this trip just outside the city. It was a beautiful walk. Due to drout the waterfall was a little thim, but i was given an option to cancel. I still enjoyed the trip a lot. I saw many different birds while walking

I don't normally do guided tours but I highly recommend this one. It was great to see the Colombian countryside, and having assistance getting to and around the park was very beneficial.
We are frequent hikers (on Canada's west coast) and found the most challenging part of this hike was coping with the altitude change. This is likely because we had only arrived in Bogota the evening before. So it's wise to have a day to acclimatize first. But as the hike went on, we got used to it!
Our guide, Miguel, was awesome. Knowledgeable, friendly, and leads the tour at an easy pace so you can take your time and enjoy the nature. We enjoyed chatting with him and learning more about his beautiful country, while also admiring the wonderful views around us. We felt like we were hanging out with a friend. Thank you!

Our guide Korinth was incredible. She guided us carefully up and down the steep climbs and was incredible patient when we needed occasional breaks. We felt completely safe and cared for throughout the entire journey, and she even sung Colombian nursery songs to help educate us on the culture and take our mind off the pain and altitude. I'd recommend booking and going EARLY in order to see the falls in total before clouds or rain roll in. I'd also recommend you condition yourself before going on this hike, or letting the team know you'll need to take frequent breaks to catch your breath. The views are worth it, however, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip!

Absolutely incredible. The hike is fairly easy, some steep inclines here and there, and a lot of slippery rocks and mud. Dress accordingly and you’ll do fine. So beautiful. My guide, Leslie, was a lovely human being. The kind of energy you want on such a magical journey. Highly recommended.

The tour that we were looking to do was not available because of road closures (major bicycle race). Francisco went above and beyond to help us find another activity and was an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable of the area and taught us a lot about Bogota. We felt very safe for the entire trip and would recommend to anyone who wants to get out of the city for a day.
