Our Beijing tour booked through Viator exceeded all expectations. The itinerary was exceptionally well organized, allowing us to experience China's rich history and culture while making the most of our time. What made the experience outstanding was our guide, Lily. She was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about Beijing's history and culture. Her engaging storytelling brought each site to life, and she was always happy to answer questions and share fascinating historical insights. Lily was also attentive to our group's needs, ensuring that everyone was comfortable and that the tour ran smoothly from start to finish.

My husband, a colleague and I had an excellent tour to The Great Wall with Henry today, and loved how he quizzed us on the way about what we had learned and seen at The Palace Museum (Forbidden City) and The Summer Palace in the preceding days. The car was extremely comfortable and he was a safe and very capable driver. Upon arriving, he asked if we wanted to go up by cable car and paid for our ticket, which we reimbursed him for. Lucky for us, the early morning rain cleared up and we had amazing weather and views - loved not feeling rushed as Henry kindly waited near where we started. And on the way back to Beijing, we stopped at a super lovely tea shop that Henry recommended. at that point, given that we were returning a bit later than expected, he agreed to bring us to a hospital where a friend had arranged a tour for us - instead of the hotel where he had picked us up.

This was such an amazing experience. The view from the Wall was truly breathtaking and it was amazing to avoid the crowds that you can find at other sections. I would say you need to be in very good physical condition because it’s a challenging hike, with lots of up and down stairs and steep parts. But it’s all worth it. Thank you to our guide Jackie!

Fabulous time at the Great Wall with our guide, Bruce. The group was a bit larger than we expected so we spent quite a lot of time waiting for people at each meeting point throughout the day, but we got to do everything we wanted to! Just be aware that it is a whole day, not just the wall and back to the city. Crowds on the wall itself were minimal when we arrived too, which was great!

We had a great time, our guide stopped on the way for us to get some delicious breakfast and checked in to see if we wanted to stop in at the shopping/eating walking strip near the Mutianyu shuttle bus stop after we finished on the wall. He gave us his WeChat contact so we could easily let him know when we were on the way back from the wall to meet us rather than wandering around aimlessly trying to spot a meeting point in the very crowded spaces. He was super friendly and told us nice information about the regions he drove us through. We would definitely recommend this service to anyone visiting the wall but unsure about kids and strict time limits often given by other tours.

Linda, our guide, was absolutely amazing. She was kind and considerate, friendly and a wealth of knowledge about these significant Beijing landmarks. Mr Liu, our driver, was the best driver - patient despite the traffic, calm, and he made sure that we had plenty if water to stay hydrated in the hot conditions. Our guide Rita was wonderful. Her English was very good and she provided so many historic facts it really enriched the tour. The day was hot and she guided us to the few shady spots when she was going to be speaking for more than a few minutes. Great job! Would highly recommend!!!! For people reading this if it is a summer day please come prepared. The sun is strong and the majority of the Forbidden City is paved adding to the heat. There are water breaks but sun gear is needed.

Our guide was Maggie, she’s very knowledgeable & a fluent English speaker. She brought the history of the Great Wall & Summer Palace to life for us, connecting the history we learnt in the forbidden city 2 days before. You will gain so much more by having a guide, plus of course the local knowledge she shared with us all. The great wall is just that, great, an amazing feat of construction in a mountain top location, very well restored with stunning views. There’s a lot of steps but it’s so worth it & less crowded than the other common location to visit. We went up by chairlift, great views & chose the toboggan ride to come down, good fun! The summer palace is well worth a visit, the centre piece being the huge lake & the world’s longest corridor. Set in beautiful gardens, the summer residence of the Emporers. A great day with a great guide!
