Richard was an absolutely amazing tour guide! He took us on a delicious food tour and brought us to so many incredible restaurants and hidden local spots we would have never found on our own. Every stop was unique and full of flavor — definitely come hungry because there’s a lot of food to try!
He even took us to Wumart, which was such a fun and authentic experience to see local snacks and daily life.
Richard has a great sense of humor and made the entire day so enjoyable. He’s not only knowledgeable but also genuinely kind and fun to be around. What really stood out was how he captured so many beautiful photos of us throughout the tour without us even having to ask — he’s an amazing photographer!

Richard was a super star! I booked this last minute as I was only in Beijing for 2 nights and needed to start the tour around 5pm and also wanted to try real Chinese food that are strange for westerners. Richard took me to eat tripes, chicken feet, pork skin, dumplings, and donkey meat (and probably more!) and everything was so delicious and authentic! He took so many photos and videos of me for the memories. Really recommend booking with him - very knowledgeable, kind and funny. He even had a calligraphy gift for me at the end.

Richard was a lovely guide who exposed us to some authentic delicacies loved by the locals. The tastes and ingredients were delicious! There were no chicken feet or intestines in the menu so I was happy!

We had an amazing experience with our tour guide Lee from one world one heart. He introduced us to various foods and places we would have never thought to visit. It was a 10/10 experience. He was very welcoming and kind. 10/10 experience.

This is a great food tour with a wonderfully positive person, Li. We tasted so many delicious dishes and had so much food. Come hungry. Li is organized, fluent in English and has a lovely heart. I can’t recommend this tour more highly.

Li was funny, and very knowledgeable. We had fun with him. All the places he took us too was SO YUMMY! We tried 2 Types of dumplings, and many other yummy things like candy crab apple and longevity noodles. He is very sweet and we enjoyed our time with him very much. Thank you Li for a wonderful last day in Beijing.

I booked this tour based on very strong recommendations found on Viator . We met Richard and Right of the bat he recommended for us to go to a “tea ceremony.” which was actually just a trip to the store where the experience had nothing to do with tea ceremony and more with hard selling a very expensive canisters of loose tea. because we didn’t buy anything they asked us to pay hundred yuan just for the service and we had to pay for a taxi..None of this was mentioneed in the description of the tour .
The the whole time that he spent taking us to places, he was trying to either take pictures of us or videotaping us eating in order to promote his business. Mind you , Richard never asked our permission to do so. It got so intrusive and annoying that I had to ask him very firmly to stop taking pictures of us.. He had this very nervous energy about him. He just could not stop talking about various subjects unrelated to food and at some point we just stopped listening.

This tour is a must! Richard was absolutely wonderful and the food was amazing. He spoke very good English and paid attention to the details. We visited various restaurants serving popular local dishes that were superb. If you get the opportunity you must take it. One World! One Heart!

Richard was an excellent guide. He was very friendly and professional throughout, and very happy to talk to me about his experiences as a Buddhist. He took me to lots of local places and I had so much delicious food like dumplings, jian bing & noodles, everything was so flavourful and it was great to be able to eat the same way as the locals.

All I can say is wow! Richard was amazing, One World, One Heart, to take me to numerous locals restaurants and he explained to me everything about what I was eating and its history. Warning - don’t eat breakfast beforehand! You will take a whirlwind tour of several local establishments and try numerous dishes. Richard was a great host. Highly recommended!

My son and I absolutely loved our food tour with Richard. He is so warm and welcoming. He greeted us with a big smile and we were off! We loved all the stops he took us to. It’s clear he has thoughtfully planned where he wants to take his guests. Richard clearly loves to serve others and loves to share some of what Beijing has to offer. This food tour, led by Richard Li, was a highlight of our time in Beijing. Richard did an excellent job selecting the foods and restaurants for our tasting experience, and set expectations in terms of number of locations and food types so we could pace ourselves. He also accommodated the dietary restrictions of one of our family members without limiting the experience for others. He even helped us navigate the subway! His engaging personality and enthusiasm made this food tour a great experience.

This tour was great! I opted to do hotel pickup, but there was really no need. The tour starts from an easy to find metro station and you find your way to six different spots for more food than any one person can eat!
David was a great tour guide who made sure I had a good time, taught me about Chinese culture and some history, and of course about the food. Do yourself a favor and book this tour if you’re in Beijing!
