We booked this tour just the day before we took the tour. This was a great tour for the money. Wonderful tour of old town Zürich, Lake Zurich boat cruise, Lindt Chocolate Museum tour with lots of free sampling, and a return ride on a train. Our tour guide was very informative and happy to answer questions.

Very informative and enjoyable . Our guide, Franzesca was wonderful. She went above and beyond in helping us navigate the transit system to get us back to our hotel . We appreciate her helpfulness over and beyond what was expected.

Great way to see Zurich (and eat chocolate!)

Well Worth Summary of Zurich

Allison_M, Apr 2026
This tour was a perfect synopsis of Zurich City. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed each of the stops and especially the boat ride to the Lindt museum. I especially appreciate the guides being flexible when we ran into some timing issues.

Great time!

Interesting and informative quick overview of the city. Nice cruise on the lake and lots of chocolate.

Fun afternoon

Kimberly_G, Mar 2026
Guide was knowledgeable. Lindt Tour and cruise portion was fantastic. Would probably skip the bus portion if that were an option? A bit long.

AMAZING Customer Support

Rebecca_A, Mar 2026
I recommend this tour primarily for their communication and customer service. Our family was traveling with 4 small kids and we were very excited for the itinerary ahead with only one day in Zurich. Unfortunately, after a significant plane delay, we missed the beginning time of our tour. I was hoping to still make the most of our time so I contacted the company via the help number listed and they were EXCELLENT communicators. They offered multiple meeting points where we could join this tour late, spoke great English, and were giving us nearly step by step instructions on which train to take. Every time we called back we got a great agent and they were aware of our situation and were trying to help with the upmost patience. Although we only experienced the final portion of the planned tour, I was so thankful they helped us navigate and enjoy the parts of Zurich that we still could. I credit our experience in Zurich to them and my payment to them gladly goes just for their support in personally helping us navigate. Thank you to your customer agents. This is a thorough itinerary for 5.5 hours in Zurich.

Wonderful tour of a beautiful city.

Mary_O, Mar 2026
Our tour guide Isabel was very knowledge about Zurich and made the tour a great way to see city highlights. I liked seeing so much of the city from bus, on foot, and by boat. The tour of Lindt factory was also very good, just don't try to listen to the entire audio tour or read everything. It's a bit of information overload and you won't have enough time to shop for goodies afterwards!

Great value for this wonderful tour!

Bad Tour: Zurich Sightseeing & Ferry Ride

Natalie_M, Feb 2026
Very poor tour lasting 5 hours and during which we stood outside in the cold, wind, rain , sleet and snow for half the time. The lake cruise was a joke and involved a 10 minute ride on a public transit ferry boat. Time at Lindt museum was too short for srlf-guided tour. No return trip to starting point...only offered another public transit ride on a tram THIS TOUR IS USELESS AND A WASTE OF TIME & MONEY! VEERY MISLEADING OFFERING! BEWARE!!!

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Dear Natalie, Thank you very much for joining one of our tours and for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are truly sorry to hear that you were disappointed with certain aspects of the tour. We were also surprised to read your comment about the boat ride being only 10 minutes, as the ferry ride is actually a scenic 30-minute journey. The boat ride offers passengers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the beautiful views of the lake and surrounding landscapes. We also regret that you felt the time at the Lindt Home of Chocolate Museum was too brief. As outlined in the tour description, the return journey is made via public transportation, which offers guests the flexibility to decide how much time they would like to spend at the museum. We apologize if this detail was not clear enough, and we understand how it may have caused some inconvenience during your visit. We hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you on another tour in the future, perhaps one that aligns better with your expectations. Best regards, Clara from Best of Switzerland Tours

Not really a chocolate...

Zoe_W, Feb 2026
Not really a chocolate "factory", more of a museum and some chocolate history. Some free samples throughout, but one of the machines was broken.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Dear Zoe, Thank you very much for choosing one of our tours and for taking the time to share your experience on our tour. We are very sorry to read that you were expecting to visit the inside of the chocolate factory. The Lindt Home of Chocolate museum is located within the chocolate factory itself, however, for sanitary and safety reasons, it is unfortunately not possible to access the active production areas. Visitors are able to view part of the factory from within the exhibition and learn about the chocolate-making process through the museum experience. We also regret to hear that one of the machines was not working during your visit. We understand that this must have been disappointing but we hope that despite that you were able to enjoy the chocolate tasting throughout the rest of the museum. We hope that despite the challenges, you were able to enjoy your visit and hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you on another tour during your next visit to Switzerland. Best regards, Clara from Best of Switzerland Tours

Good trip

Tina_G, Feb 2026
Renate was amazing. Kind calm funny and friendly. The weather was awful and i have never seen so many difficult people saying they didn't want to do this bit or that bit. Just disappearing which is why rude when you have booked this trip. She was clear all the time with times people should meet yet we still lost people so it wasn't very nice for her. She handled it well. Her information on the bus was excellent and gave good information. The boat trip was good. For me the jury is out on the chocolate factory. Just boring listening to the recorders. I have been to better chocolate factories. And lindt make you feel like a criminal cause you can't take your bag in with you. Are you really going to pinch chocolate balls???? You are very clearly told take one of each only! An enjoyable day where we felt looked after by an incredible host.

Good overview of the city and the Lindt chocolate museum. Guide was knowledgeable. Adequate time at Lindt to see museum and shop.

Zurich Tour

A lovely walk around Zurich old Town, then a coach trip and boat trip to the Lindor Museum. ate too much chocolate. A tour well worth doing

Dennis_A, Jan 2026
The guide was so accommodating and well organized all throughout the tour. We surely recommend this tour to everyone visiting Zurich

Learned a lot about Zurich and got to each chocolate!

Stephanie_M, Jan 2026
Great tour with very knowledge able tour guide. I loved the brief driving tour of the city seeing different areas I would not have otherwise visited. Also really appreciated the walking tour of old town. I had walked the area the day before solo, but doing it again with a guide who shared more historic context was far more interesting. The boat ride to the chocolate factory wasn't too long, although the boat was very crowded and we had to stand. Would recommend getting their earlier to get seating (especially indoor seating if going during the winter). By the time you get to the factor you're likely hungry so I'd recommend gabbing lunch first before starting the museum tour. It's very crowded so grabbing seating will be difficult. The tour is self paced so you can spend more / less time in each area. I especially liked the free bon bons at the end. Tour attendees have the option to meet the guide at a specified time to return by boat. Or you can leave on your own and take a bus back into town (which is directly across the street from the museum and is a straight shot. very easy). I'm glad I went and would highly recommend.

Awesome experience

The lindor museum was really awesome

Lindt Sold out - booked this tour

Janeille_Z, Dec 2025
There was a short walking tour prior to us taking a boat to get to the Lindt museum. The tour was quick but informative and pointed key attractions in the city centre. Once you’re there you have the option of meeting back up with the guide after, or taking your own form of transportation back into Zurich city centre (they provide you with a 24 hour transit pass).

It was OK

Danielle_S, Dec 2025
Rode around for a bit on the bus and got a little bit of history on Switzerland, then walked around for under an hour with more history. Cruised on the boat but there was no commentary. After arriving at the Lindnt Museum, we were free to roam around on our own and that was the end of the tour

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Dear Danielle, Thank you for joining our Zurich, Cruise & Lindt Home of Chocolate tour and for sharing your experience with us. We are glad to hear that the overall experience was satisfying, but we regret to hear that you were expecting commentary on the boat. As the description in Viator clearly states, that our tour includes a half-hour sightseeing cruise on the picturesque lake of Zurich which doesn’t involve any commentary. This is a public boat with other individual guests that would like to enjoy the relaxing ride rather than hearing a guided tour. Thus, this time is for our guests to sit wherever they prefer and enjoy the fantastic views of the lake. We hope that you will keep your visit in fond memory and we wish you a lovely rest of your stay in Switzerland. Best regards, Magdalena from Best of Switzerland Tours

Christina_B, Dec 2025
Rebate was our guide. She was punctual, organized, and personable. My 10 year old enjoyed Lindt and the boat ride (despite the chilly weather). I wish we could have visited Lindt a bit longer. We were given the option to stay as long as we liked, but wouldn’t have a guide back.

Not sure I would recommend

K_N, Dec 2025
It is basically a boat ride on the lake and a chocolate factory which there's no guide required on either. There was no stop at FIFA. I guess it's really worth for someone that travels and is experienced

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear K, Thank you very much for choosing one of our city tours and for taking the time to share your experience on tour with us. We are sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. As clearly stated in the Viator description, the experience includes a short bus drive through the city, followed by a guided walking tour of the Old Town, during which the guide provides general information about the city. The tour then continues with a lake cruise and an independent visit to the Lindt Home of Chocolate museum. We regret that these inclusions did not align with what you were expecting from the tour. We also regret that the option to include the FIFA Museum was not clearly communicated. While this addition has already been announced, it will only be available for booking from April 1st onward. We have now updated the tour description to ensure this information is fully transparent. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, your feedback helps us avoid similar misunderstandings in the future. We hope that despite these challenges, you were able to enjoy parts of the tour and hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you on another tour in the future, perhaps one that aligns better with your expectations. Best regards, Clara from Best of Switzerland Tours

Waste of MONEY!!

ChadThomas, Dec 2025
DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS PACKAGE. I don't have an issue with people making money but the truth is the tour was about as lame a tour as I never been on. The tour guide speaks like he is in a library, literally people were standing on top of him to hear him. Just take the teams or trains to get around and go directly to the Lintz Chocolate Factory by boat or bus take your pick and save yourself about $100.00. The city is super easy to navigate and all the people we met will very helpful. Go it on your own, save a bunch of money and enjoy the experience.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear Chad, Thank you very much for choosing one of our city tours and for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We regret to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations and that you feel it was not worth the money. We truly appreciate your perspective, and we are sorry it did not offer the experience you were hoping for. We regret to hear that you had difficulty hearing the guide during the walking tour. As this part of the tour takes place on busy streets, ambient noise from traffic or construction can sometimes interfere with the audio. However, our guides are equipped with microphones to enhance the guest experience, and we encourage guests to inform the guide immediately if any issues arise, so adjustments can be made on the spot. While Zurich and the Lindt Home of Chocolate Museum can certainly be visited independently, our tour is designed to offer a convenient and structured way to explore the city in a short amount of time. This can be especially helpful for guests who might not have a lot of time to spare or who prefer a guided experience, particularly in a new city where they might not speak the language. We do understand that independent travel can be a great way to explore, and we respect your recommendation. That said, we sincerely hope you were still able to enjoy some aspects of the tour, and we hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you on a different excursion in the future that might better align with your preferences. Best regards, Clara from Best of Switzerland Tours
