The tour ends at the Zurich Main Train Station (Zürich HB). Please note that the return journey is by public transport. After the visit to the chocolate museum, you can opt to go back to the city with the tour guide or stay longer at the museum and return individually.

Itinerary

In the morning, meet your guide and group in central Zurich, and hop aboard your coach for a highlights tour of the city. Pass the castle-like Swiss National Museum, the shopping avenue of Bahnhofstrasse, and more, learning about the history of the area as you go.

Enjoy a photo stop in the charming Old Town. Learn about Zurich's history as you admire the guild houses, St. Peter's Church, and the Fraumünster Church, which showcases stained-glass windows designed by Marc Chagall.

Continue to the banks of Lake Zurich and board a boat for a sightseeing cruise. After taking in the surrounding scenery from the water, enjoy a leisurely walk along the shores to Lindt Home of Chocolate.

After an audio-guided tour through the museum, it’s time to sample some of the specialties of the world-famous chocolate factory, with time for a coffee or some souvenir shopping, too.

Your tour concludes with a ride by public transport (bus, tram, or boat) to Zurich Main Station. You’re also free to continue exploring independently and return later, as your package includes a 24-hour public transit ticket.

Second half was the star

The second part with the chocolate museum, boat ride and the FIFA museum was great. The morning part was spent on the bus too much and we didn't actually walk around old town except for 15 minutes. We didn't have the greatest guide on this trip, which affected our experience.

Fun experience. We rode the bus for a tour of parts of the city, stopped by the lake for a quick photo, walked through part of Old Town, had a quick boat ride, walked to the Lindt chocolate tour and had the option to take the public bus back to the starting point. Be prepared for parts of the trip to be hot and include walking. Totally fun and worth it!!

Needed a better tour director

The sites visited were as expected (especially the Lindt chocolate factory) and the lake cruise was nice. The tour director was not the best though. She spoke in a soft monotone on the bus, and when we asked if she could turn up the volume on the microphone we got a lecture about how no one has ever complained about her voice. When it was time to leave the Lindt factory, she just walked away and expected everyone to follow her. We didn't hear her call everyone together or even take a headcount. Luckily, no one was stranded. All in all, we think this would have been much better with a different tour director.

Great way to see Zurich and its highlights. Our guide was knowledgable and made the tour interesting. I did both the Lindt Chocolate and FIFA tours and would recommend both as optional extras to consider.

The old city tour and the villas tour was exciting you really see a lot of good houses and the view of the zurich from top and the old new city The cruise was average as the distance was very less but the layout of the seating was really good and table chair of restaurant style enjoyed a lot The chocolate museo It is not a factory but a history of the chocolate manufacturing with the history and various methods of manufacturing from 1800 AD This gives a glimpse of the process and multiple stages of chocolate tasting 1 liquid 3 tyes 2 bar 10 types 3 round 8 types 4 the last bar with a play overall it was good

A lot of confusion about where we were going. Our tour guide didn't help. People were expecting a trip to the chocolate museum then a cruise on the lake. That’s what the label said. She talked around in circle and said only some people had the cruise. We followed the crowd. Say the museum, sampled the chocolate and got a boat ride back to the centre of town. Cruise is probably a little generous. Not worth the stress or the cost.

Very good considering the circumstances that happened before our tour. My sister injured her knee the night before and was unable to perform the walking part of the tour. However we were able to go to the picture stop and take the bus to the Lindt Museum and joined the tour and enter when the group arrived.

It depends on who the tour guide is immensely. They will make or break this experience. Unfortunately, we were unlucky and did not get a good guide. It was clear this was just a job that she needed to get done. At one point when questioned about how to use public transportation to return, she reacted negatively and accused them of not listening rather than being helpful. The Lindt Chocolate Tour was enjoyable with lots of free samples.

We had Vladimir as our tour guide. Very nice and thorough. Everything went great...we had some rain that day but it was a good tour. The Lindt Chocolate Factory was incredible. They allow you to taste test a LOT of chocolate and give you lots of sample truffles in lots of flavors. Highly recommend

The tour operator was extremely helpful when I was late arriving to the meeting point (due to a very long slow line at customs control at the airport). Once I arrived at the meeting point, they were very helpful with getting me oriented to meet up with the group at the pier. They showed me a few stops I could do along the way to see some of the sights. Meeting up with the tour guide Ana was very easy. She even had a few options for me to return to the airport to ensure I didn't miss my connection.
