    Versailles Guide Cancelled Disappointment

    I was so upset that I did not even want to write a review, but now I see two reviews. that were after my experience and I see they both have 1 star and trip was canceled last minute. Both Sept 2025. We were scheduled for Aug 21, 2025. Same horrible experience. Canceled last minute. We were already waiting in hotel lobby. Tour sent a driver who knew nothing, other than picking us up and driving us to Versailles. No guide, had to buy head phones. Missed almost all activities on tour. There were no dancing fountains, no garden music. We were in and out in no time and then the nightmare escalated trying to find the guy that the Tour guide supposedly sent to pick us up began. Not even at Versailles, but at hotel 3 blocks away. We ended up having to order our own Uber back to our hotel, after not being able to locate driver anywhere and being degraded by tour operator on phone. We finally made it back to our hotel all upset and disgusted by the entire morning. The tour operator was extremely rude to point that our hotel front desk staff had to get involved because I had him on my speaker and they were shocked by his attitude.

    They cancelled at 23:00 the night before due to no guide and tried to offer small discount to just receive the transport and tickets Do not plan on going as this seems like a trend of being cancelled for lack of guides

    There was no tour guide available so they canceled the tour. It may be re-scheduled IF they can find a guide.
