This was an absolutely amazing tour! Vladina was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. She shared many facts about the kings, queens, courtiers, mistresses and court etiquette. Begin your full-day exploration of the UNESCO-listed Versailles with a walk through the expansive Versailles Gardens, one of the most visited places in the country.

The huge space, covering 1,977 acres (800 hectares), blooms with roughly 210,000 flowers planted each year. Learn more about the history of the gardens and how they were used from your expert guide.

Then visit the Palace of Versailles on a guided tour. Learn how this extravagant place was both a private home for the royal family and the center of political power from 1682 until 1789. Walk through the king's and queen's apartments, the fabulous Hall of Mirrors and the Royal Chapel.

Visitors who are at Versailles on a Sunday get an added bonus of seeing a fountain show in the morning in the gardens. The ornate fountain show is coordinated to a classical music soundtrack, which makes a morning walk through the gardens even more delightful.

Take a break for lunch (own expense), then follow your guide to the Grand Trianon. Louis XIV had this lodge built in 1670 to offer respite from the formal palace. Next, visit Marie Antoinette's Estate, where you'll see the Petit Trianon – the queen's private retreat – along with the French Pavilion and Queen's Hamlet.

This is a comprehensive tour and is fascinating. The tour takes all day so be prepared to spend a lot of time at Versailles. It’s worth the time to have access to the various spaces around the palace.

We are glad we picked this trip. Be prepared for a long day of walking. We like to walk so it was very nice for us. The property is amazing and you get to see a good bit of it considering how big the property is. Without our tour guide Vilandia, this would not have been as educational. Having a guided tour is very important for the experience. Many people do not choose to do the Maria Antoinette house, but we were very happy that we did.

Sophie is as an amazing tour guide! She was fun and so knowledgeable. Loved the whole day tour! I had done just the palace tour before and this one offered much more. It’s a lot of walking and standing but if you can do it, I would highly recommend!

Excellent tour and fantastic tour guide. Super informative about the history and beauty of the location. Make sure to wear sneakers or comfortable shoes. Lots of walking but enough time to sit and rest also. The amount of time for lunch also was good. Great day!

This tour is a full day. It started with the palace. Leticia shared so much history and great anecdotes about the royals. Then we went to the gardens. Our guide was thoughtful about finding shade since it was a very hot day. We also visited Tressons and Queen's hamlet. She planned breaks and was thoughtful and courteous with questions. There is a lot of walking.

We had a lovely time with Laeticia! She’s incredibly knowledgeable and funny. Of course, this is the longer walking tour, so do be prepared for that—more or less 5mi. I wouldn’t recommend this to be the last day of your trip, closer to the first, if you can. We had a good amount of time for our breaks and were able to enjoy each stop along the way. What can be said about the palatial grounds?! Absolutely incredible and well worth the experience.

A very comprehensive tour of Versailles, the palace, the gardens, and surrounding our guide for the whole tour, Gabriella, was superb. She was full of energy and knowledge. This is my fourth visit to the palace, and it was the best one. I learned many things that I had previously not known. You do have to do a lot of walking, but it was worth it and I highly recommend specially if you have her as your guide.

Leticia was a great guide, very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. The tour covered the king’s and queen’s chambers plus the Hall of Mirrors in the morning. After a lunch break, the tour took us through the gardens and to Marie Antoinette’s incredible hamlet and Petit Triannon. It rained pretty hard at one point so Leticia took us indoors to the Grand Triannon as well, so we had a bit of a bonus exploring that. It was incredibly helpful to have a guide, as it really helped bring everything to life and give the meaning behind it all. My 11 year old daughters especially loved the garden tour. Visiting Versailles was a bucket list item for me, and this tour helped enhance it. highly recommend

The tour was wonderful. Lots of walking, but we got to see everything. The insights and history behind everything was really lovely to hear. It would have been impressive without the tour, but you wouldn't get the understanding behind any of it and wouldn't have been nearly as entertaining. I wouldn't recommend going without the tour unless you just want to see and go. Letitia was amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly.

An Unforgettable Day at Versailles – 7-Hour Walking Tour We had an amazing experience on our full-day walking tour of the Palace of Versailles and its stunning gardens. The entire visit took about 7 hours, and every minute was worth it. The palace itself is breathtaking, with its opulent rooms, rich history, and famous Hall of Mirrors. But the gardens were the true highlight — expansive, beautifully manicured, and full of surprises at every turn. A few tips: wear comfortable shoes and pack a lunch and water. There are places to sit and eat in the gardens, and having your own food makes the day so much easier (and more enjoyable). This tour is a must for anyone who loves history, architecture, and nature. We left feeling tired but so fulfilled — a true highlight of our trip to France!
