Itinerary

Choose from three daily departures to suit your sightseeing schedule, and meet your private guide in front of the ancient Roman amphitheater at Bra Square. Known locally as the Arena, this remarkably preserved relic of the mighty Roman Empire dates back to 30 AD. Continue exploring Verona's Roman history at Piazza delle Erbe, once the seat of political life in the city.

Learn how Verona experienced a resurgence during the Middle Ages to become one of northern Italy's most important cities, presided over by the powerful Scaligeri family. Hear tales of intrigue at the former family headquarters in Signori Square, known locally as Dante Square. Today, Verona is best known as a city of romance, thanks to its use as a setting for Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Visit Juliet’s Balcony, inspired by the tale of star-crossed lovers and a perfect place to imagine scenes of moonlit promises and forbidden rendezvous.

From here, explore charming alleyways and side streets that lead to the Adige River and rewarding views of Ponte Pietra, the Arena, and the Archaeological Museum. The 2-hour tour can be customized to suit your interests, and may include other landmarks like the Verona Cathedral, the Gavi family arch, and the ateliers of the Carega District. Feel free to ask all the questions you like, and get recommendations from your guide on the best spots in town for an authentic Veronese meal.

Excellent tour of Verona

We had a beautiful morning with Silvia touring Verona! We learned so much about the city, to include even food and wine typical of the area! This tour was a great way to see & learn a lot of what Verona has to offer in a short amount of time - absolutely recommend this tour - even with careful planning we would have missed a LOT about the city if we tried to do it ourselves. Not to mention, we asked Silvia for a good lunch recommendation & had the best pasta (a Tagliolini Truffle & Ricotta pasta) of our trip (of my life?!). Thank you for a wonderful morning, Silvia!
