We booked a GardaVoyager boat tour through Viator for €147 (three people), but when we arrived at the dock, the operator had no record of our reservation—even though we showed valid digital tickets. It seemed clear that our spots had been sold to other passengers. Thankfully, the captain took pity on us and kindly let us on board, though he wasn’t at fault in any of this. It was an uncomfortable experience to be initially turned away in front of other passengers. We contacted Viator afterward but haven’t received any follow-up or resolution. To add to the disappointment, we noticed other tour companies offering the same trip to Sirmione for €20 per person. This particular tour didn’t include a guide. If you’re considering this trip, I’d recommend also checking dockside options directly to ensure a smoother and better-value experience.

Good afternoon, thank you for your review.. You know mistakes can be made right? We are getting bookings from 5 different internet resellers and sometimes it can happen that manually putting these bookings together on a list that we send the captain of the boat can lead to a mistake. We are humans after all. Once the captain called me I’ve checked and of course you were booked on the tour. That’s why after speaking to him I’ve told him to get you on board. It’s not because he took a pity on you. We didn’t sell nothing to other passengers we missed your booking and that’s why you were not on the list but as far as I know you did the tour as per description and you even tipped the captain. This whole situation lasted no longer than 10 minutes. The thing that is really UNCOMFORTABLE is you pretending a refund for a tour that you did at the end. At this point I’d have really wished you would have picked a tour with another company at the dock. Paying 20€ to get directly to Sirmione for 1 hour with other 20 people on an uncomfortable boat and with captains that barely open their mouths. Yes thats what you probably deserved. It’s specified on the product page that it’s not a guided tour and that the captain gives a commentary which he always does and we know that for sure since it has been like this for the last 5 years.

Relaxing cruise to Sirmione

GG was an excellent host and was very informative about Lake Garda. It was a relaxing cruise to Sirmione and the weather was perfect. The recommendations for aperol spritz and gelato were taken on board and we had a lovely wander around Sirmione before heading back to the boat. Some of the passengers had a lovely swim before heading back to Pescheria del Garda. Thank you 😎

We had a fantastic day trip with captain Gigi . He gave good commentary of the lake and gave some great tips of restaurants and things to do in the area. Can not recommend enough and we will be back.
