Absolutely loved it! Maria is a great story teller and full of historical insights. Enjoyed walking and listening to her. It was extra bonus because I love architecture and that she shared different era and how the architecture reflected the time period! She was very kind to take pictures of us and one of the standby asked her question about Romeo’s house and she was kind enough to offer her the info. See?! She should have signed up! It is so much more enjoyable when you hear the historical background instead of trying to figure out on your own. Totally worth it!

A very interesting tour which provided information on the history of the arena and locations of Romeo and Juliet. The guide was very passionate and gave a complete story of the famous lovers. The locations were also great - the only downside was we didn’t get as much time at Juliet’s house. However her statue and balcony were beautiful and it was incredible to see them in real life.

Thank you Rebekah, you can normally stay in Juliet's House as long as you want, since the tour finishes there, only you were so kind as to accept to postpone the tour and then you had little time left, sorry for this.

I booked this tour based on the Romeo and Juliet story but was disappointed. Firstly, on the night before, we were asked to combine with another tour which was apparently “actually an upgrade”.
When we arrived at the meeting point the guide was late which caused some concerns for our family and the other family making up the group.
Although our guide was passionate about Verona and knew his history, his presentation style was a bit hard to follow at times. I was disappointed not to learn more about the actual Romeo & Juliet story.

Hi Virginia, yes, we asked you to join a later tour (which WAS an upgrade, it also included the explanation of the Arena, and some extra sights from the one you had originally booked), because it was really a very busy day and all the operating guides were overwhelmed with work and we all really did our best to make everyone happy. So, I'm sorry Francesco arrived a couple of minutes late, but he really rushed that day, had no time to eat or go to the toilet, and nevertheless he worked with all the passion and love we feel for this wonderful city and the nice people visiting it. You had all contacts anyway, so you weren't abandoned and lost, it was only a matter of a couple of minutes waiting.
Francesco told you about Romeo and Juliet, of course, I'm sorry to hear you expected something different, maybe next time ask direct questions, we are always happy to deepen the topic and reply to all your doubts and curiosities.
Hope to have the possibility to make up for it, should you be in Verona again just contact us and we'll offer you another experience for free.

Julie! We didn't cancel! We kindly asked you if you could postpone the tour to 13.45 and in exchange offered you a longer tour, with an extra part (the explanation of the Arena and the Jewish Ghetto) and you accepted !!!

I had Maria for this tour, and it was everything I wished it would be and more. It’s been a dream of mine to come to Verona and see the famous Romeo and Juliet balcony. Maria just made it all the more enjoyable. She answered any questions I had, she’s super polite and knowledgeable. If I were to ever bring a family member or a friend on this tour, I definitely would want it to be with Maria.

We thought that it was a really great tour. Our tour guide had a lot of passion and she was really fun. You could tell that she knew her stuff and took pride in showing us Verona. The tour consisted of sightseeing related to the letters to Juliet movie, history of Verona, the story of Romeo and Juliet and the related to sites in the city. Overall, it was a great introduction to the city. Mature was great in terms of piercing in length. We also only had one other person in our group, so the overall group size was just three people and one Tour Guide.

Our guide Francesco was fantastic and tailored the tour to meet our needs. We were on a flying day trip to Verona and got to see some of its beautiful sites and highlights. Francesco was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and put us at ease immediately. He involved us in the tour encouraging us to ask and answer questions and get involved in making connections. The Romeo and Juliet highlights were amazing, Verona really is the city of Love.

I WAS at the meeting place, I called you on the phone but there was an answering machine, I left various messages in Viator chat, I texted you, I waited for you for over 20 minutes and I've got witnesses. Not only YOU didn't turn up, you didn't reply to the phone, you didn't reply to the text messages or the chat, but you didn't even make ANY attempt to contact me or ask anyone to call my number (which had been given to you) ... and the following day you asked for a refund!!! I refused at first, then you were so persistent in insisting you were there that I thought "she probably went to the wrong place and she's genuinely convinced she was at the right place" and GRANTED YOU THE REFUND EVEN IF YOU WERE NOT ENTITLED TO IT !!! And you still wrote such an awful review??? Who are you and what do you want from me???

Who would have thought that we would be able to overcome cold winter rain and being on a wrong bus but end up having a wonderful in Verona? Our tour guide Maria made it possible. She gave us a warm welcome and I can say that she is an amazing storyteller that made buildings come to life. We could visualize what happened hundreds of years ago right there in the Market Square and on the streets of Verona. Highly recommended!

Espen, you know I tried my best to make you sit in the shade whenever possible, I adapted the tour to your needs in any possible way, I really do not deserve such a poor scoring! Did you realize this poor score damages me heavily? If you know it's too hard for you to walk in the afternoon, you should avoid booking a tour at that time, not blame me for that. Maria was amazing! She brought all the stories to life, kept everyone engaged and interested and really knows her stuff. From the smallest details that we wouldn’t have noticed to the hidden treasures we would never have found. Maria was fantastic! We could’ve spent the whole day with her listening to her tell her stories of Verona. She talks with enthusiasm and passion and really made our trip to Verona something special. This was the most amazing tour! We arrived a lot later than expected into Verona and we missed our tour time. However, Maria made sure that we could rearrange so that we didn’t miss out! She managed to get us a tour with Virginia who was absolutely brilliant. She was very friendly and gave us great detail about the history of Verona and the beautiful stories behind it.
