Fun and informative walking tour in Verona. Our guide (sorry, I forgot her name!) was lively and enthusiastic, which made for an engaging walk through the central part of Verona while she shared interesting stories and local history, ranging from Romeo and Juliet to a few darker stories!

The tour was fun, incredibly informative and entertaining and had lots of fascinating insights that I don’t think we would have had access to otherwise - it was really enjoyable and exactly what we were hoping for! We got to understand the culture and history of Verona, and learn about key locations of the city as we walked it. It’s a great start to a holiday there. Our tour guide was friendly and engaging, with great delivery and great banter, drawing us into the story of Verona. We left very happy and it was a great way to spend an evening - the next day we were still talking about it and using all of information we’d learned. Highly recommended if you want to spend a fun evening learning all about the layers of history, with legends, folklore, stories and history all based in a real knowledge of the place

Frank was our guide and he was fantastic! We’re a family of 7 and he entertained from adults down to our youngest (9). He kept the tour going despite the down pour of rain and kept our interests. Highly recommend!!!

Our storyteller for the evening was fantastic, warm, charismatic and brought the city to life - it is already a very special city with so much visual history and architecture, this tour brings you closer to it though the lives and human stories of the people. It was a nice evening and the tour route was pleasing. The essential stops were included but it would have been nice to have more detailed descriptions of the architectural elements.

Robert, all people have different interests and passions and unfortunately we don't know you before the tour, so we try our best to tailor-make the tour when we meet you, but sometimes a clear request makes the difference. Why didn't you simply ask the guide? You were told how to distinguish the buildings of the 12th, 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th centuries, we made you notice things like the traditional window-shutters, the balconies iron rails, the spouts, the reinforcements against earthquakes ... if you wanted even more architectural details or something different a direct question would have been the only thing to do, especially considering that you had booked a group tour based on drama and history, not a private tour based on architecture.
As for the stories, they are all true historical facts, nothing "quirky", I assure you.

Girolami Maria Pia was our tour guide. She was very lively and made the tour a lot of fun. Her knowledge of Verona was extensive. She had many stories to tell and also explained about the architecture of the buildings that we passed by. I would recommend this fun and educational tour. Our group had ages 25 to 78 and we all enjoyed it.

We had a very fun tour of Verona with great stories, in particular I loved the explanation of how building styles showed when buildings were built. It was neat to hear about how the story of Romeo and Juliet was pulled for events, politics and family dynamics in the city. In particular, we loved seeing the roman ruins in the clothing store, and all the fossils embedded in the stone walkways of the city.

Very good experience! Hearing a lot about architecture through the years and you look at things differently afterwards. Everything from the buildings to the pavement to sculptures. It was a good guide and she really was telling the story in a great way.
