This was a fantastic and fun experience. The guides took us to a personal property with fantastic views of the alps. It was fun to watch the dogs get on the scent of a truffle and start digging. We found several truffles throughout the scenic countryside and later they were cleaned and shaved on top of food at lunch at the trattoria. The food was fantastic and the owner of the trattoria was very fun and lively. Our guides were great with knowledge about truffles and very personable. Would highly recommend this tour.

If you want to do something that brings the love of dogs, people and food together in a most incredible and inspiring way then I recommend these guys. Felix and Secil are so down to earth and pleasant to be with. Every aspect of our adventure was a 10 out of 10. Hunting, driving around, laughing, eating great food etc. We left feeling like we just met our two long lost brother and sister. So cool

Awww ❤️ We feel exactly the same! We had such a wonderful time with you and truly enjoyed every moment together. Thank you for being so easygoing, warm, and such fantastic company. It honestly felt like spending time with old friends rather than meeting for the first time. We’re so happy you enjoyed the adventure as much as we did. We hope our paths cross again someday! ❤️🐾🍄
The truffle tour was a unique way to experience Piedmont, but overpriced for what was delivered. The owners were kind, though it was clear the priority was collecting truffles for their own business. Once the dogs found one, the owners quickly pocketed it with little explanation or chance to see, smell, or learn about it, so it often felt like tagging along rather than participating. The lunch was the highlight, a wonderful traditional Piedmontese meal featuring some of the truffles we'd collected. Frequent smoke breaks throughout the tour also added to the impression that the owners were more focused on themselves than on the guest experience. Interesting overall, but not worth the price.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are genuinely sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations, and we were very saddened to read your review.
This was an exceptionally hot and challenging season, and unfortunately there were far fewer truffles available than usual. Despite this, we spent the entire day visiting several different areas and making every effort to find enough truffles to share with you at lunch. In fact, every truffle we found that day was kept specifically so that you could enjoy it with your traditional Piedmontese meal. There were no additional truffles that we found and kept for ourselves rather than serving to you.
We would also like to clarify that the breaks during the hunt were primarily to give our dogs water and allow them to rest and recover from the heat. Their health and wellbeing are extremely important to us, and we would never compromise that for the sake of finding more truffles.
We are particularly sorry that you felt you were merely tagging along. Our intention is always for guests to participate, learn about truffles and enjoy the experience alongside us and our dogs. This is the first time we have received feedback suggesting that our priority was ourselves rather than our guests, so your comments were especially disappointing to us.
We are glad, however, that you enjoyed the traditional Piedmontese lunch. We sincerely wish you had left with the same positive feelings about the truffle hunt itself, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective.
This was such a memorable, beautiful experience for us. We have a Lagotto at home in the US and it was fabulous to see his brethren doing what they are all meant to do, with the loving guidance of some of the most interesting and kind people we have stumbled upon. We also went to a lovely local winery for lunch, which surpassed my expectations and was a wonderful experience as well. What a way to connect with the culture and beauty of Torino. Other people we told we were going truffle hunting led us to believe that our hunting might be a flop because it isn’t the standard season, but it wasn’t at all, and we got to enjoy some of the truffles we helped them and the dogs find (Secil and Felix allowed us to feel part of the hunt and discovery even if we really would have a lot to learn!!). Thank you, Secil and Felix, we wish you every happiness and hope you can continue your fabulous work giving people like us a little chance to enjoy your world.

Thank you so much for this beautiful review. Your words truly touched us, and it was such a pleasure to spend the day with you both.
Knowing that you have a Lagotto at home made it especially wonderful to share the experience of watching our dogs do what they love and were born to do. Our dogs are such an important part of our lives and of this experience, so it means a lot to us that you enjoyed seeing their work and the special bond between the dogs and their truffle hunters.
We are also so happy that you enjoyed the winery and the traditional lunch, and most of all that you felt part of the hunt and discovery. That is exactly what we hope to give our guests, not simply to watch a truffle hunt, but to share a little piece of our world, our dogs, our food and our love for Piedmont.
It was truly a pleasure having you with us. Thank you for your kindness, your curiosity and for appreciating what we do. We wish you both every happiness as well, and perhaps one day we will meet again in the woods, with your Lagotto too!
We are a family of four with two big boys And we have had a fantastic time with Felix and Secil and their 3 lovely dogs. Felix picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the forest. We stopped on the way in a very small Italian town and had a very good cappuccino and pastries. We had a really fun time hunting truffles. The air was fresh and the scenery was beautiful. We learned a lot about truffle. And we really feel the passion from Felix and Secil about truffle hunting and the great life style. They took us to a really authentic Italian restaurant in a small town for lunch and we had the best Italian meal. The taste and quality of the food exceeded any Italian restaurant in States. What's best was that we ate the truffle we just hunted in the morning. Throughout the tour, we had great conversations with our hosts and learned a lot about Italian culture and local way of life. This is the best tour you can find in the Turin area. We highly recommend this tour to everyone.

Thank you so much for this incredibly kind and detailed review! It was an absolute pleasure spending the day with your family.
We loved having all four of you with us and seeing your enthusiasm throughout the hunt. Sharing the forest, the dogs, the truffles and a little taste of our everyday life in Piedmont with your family was truly special.
We are especially happy that you enjoyed the little cappuccino and pastry stop, the beautiful countryside and, of course, the authentic local lunch. Knowing that you enjoyed the food even more than some of your favorite Italian restaurants in the States is a wonderful compliment to the restaurant and to the people who put so much passion into Piedmontese cuisine!
And there is something particularly satisfying about finding a truffle in the morning and then sitting down together at lunch to enjoy it. That is exactly the kind of experience we love sharing with our guests.
Thank you for your wonderful company, your curiosity and all the great conversations. We hope you and your family take home some beautiful memories of Piedmont and perhaps one day come back to hunt with us and the dogs again!
Amazing experience with Felix, Santino and their amazing dogs! Fully agree with all the positive comments about the hike, watching the dogs and Felix/Santino work, and the lunch at a traditional restaurant afterwards. Even the short Italian breakfast stop was memorable. There are some hills and uneven terrains involved if you want to get very close to the action, but it wasn't too bad, at least when the ground was not muddy.

Thank you so much. it was lovely day , we are so happy to know you
Highly recommended. We got lucky and had a very nice weather day (a little warm for truffles but nice for us!) and a really nice group of fellow truffle hunters. And finding some truffles didn’t hurt either! The guides are super nice people. Plan a full day. And don’t make a dinner reservation that day. You’ll be full from lunch!

Thank you very much, I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your day
WOW! This was the coolest thing I have ever done and the operators were beyond informative, authentic, passionate truffle hunters. Santino was the coolest and his dogs were stars…Bosko found MANY HUGE TRUFFLES as we ran behind him seeing the magic happen. These dogs smell the truffles from hundreds of feet away. Felix and Secil’s adorable 3 dogs found many truffles which we all indulged in at lunch at the coolest hidden gem on the gorgeous rolling hills. Heaps of delicious starters including the yummiest polenta all specially order so Santino could proudly shave massive amounts of truffles over every bite…. I had three servings and he kept shaving the fresh truffles we had just hunted down. More dishes followed with more truffles shaved over and over. That amount of truffles in a restaurant in Beverly Hills where I’m traveling from ( or Milan for that matter) would have been $300 or more easy! After lunch I bought the beautiful wooden truffle slicer and brush cleaner with the Truffle Hike logo on it so I can bring back the memories to California….even if I just shave regular mushrooms with it I don’t care, I want to relive this day over and over. I need to go back as soon as possible,

Dear Vicki, I really appreciate your review. It was so so nice to meet you and share beautiful hours together. I really hope to meet you and your sister again. Big big hugs from Italy 🇮🇹
The truffle hunting experience itself was great — the nature was beautiful, the dogs were adorable and skilled, and the guide explained everything really well. It was fascinating to see how the truffles are found and learn about the process.
However, a couple of things could have been better. We didn’t receive any truffles to take home, which was a bit disappointing after participating in the hunt. Also, lunch was really long (much longer than truffle hunting). Moreover, one of the drivers seemed to have had too much to drink during the lunch, which felt unprofessional and concerning.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that some parts of the experience didn’t meet your expectations.
This is actually the first time we’ve received a 3-star review across all the platforms we're on, so we take your comments seriously.
Our truffle hunting is a real, authentic experience, not a simulation. As you saw, we depend on nature and our dogs. Sometimes we find a lot, sometimes less. that’s part of the charm and unpredictability of true truffle hunting. The truffles we find are used in the lunch we prepare, and we don’t promise truffles to take home. However, we’re always happy to arrange this in advance if requested.
Regarding the lunch, we understand it may have felt long. We aim to offer a relaxed, immersive experience where guests can enjoy local flavors and good conversation. Still, we’ll take your comment into account to better balance the timing.
Lastly, we want to be clear that we do not drink while working. We do share a small toast with our guests as a gesture of hospitality, but we take our responsibility to host and care for our guests seriously.
We appreciate your visit and your feedback, both the positive and the constructive, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future.
The best day we have ever had in our years in Italia. I could not recommend this experience enough. Even with the heat, Secil, Felix and Santino made us feel so welcome. We met at a local bar for caffè before heading out. Watching them so calm, Gemma and her pup, Raul and Vasco with their fantastic energy, finding truffle at nearly every stop. Felix and Secil teaching us about where to look, different types, and the conservation. So peaceful to leave the city, and be with people who share their passion, and their amazing dogs. Santino had a much appreciated sneaky stop on the way to lunch for refreshments for us. Lunch at a local could not have been better, fantastic genuine simple food and local wine paired with laughs and fresh truffle. For me, this was very nostalgic and emotional: it brought back a lot of memories wandering the forest with my Nonno, pranzo felt like my Nonna had cooked and we were with the family at the table. Grazie mille Secil, Felix e Santino per la giornata migliore!

Thank you very much. We also had an unforgettable day with you.
Such a pleasure to learn about village life in Piedmont and truffle culture. The time hunting was perfect and not too long - within a couple of hours, we found over 15 black summer truffles, thanks to the keen noses of doggies Gemma and Toca. The trattoria had a lively authentic vibe as we enjoyed shaved truffles over hot cheese and pasta. Our guides Secil and Felix were warm, enthusiastic and fun. This experience is worth a revisit!

Thank you :) we hope to see you again. In winter time for white truffles.
An unforgettable truffle hunting adventure with Santoro, Secil, Felix, and their amazing dogs – Vasco “The Godfather,” spirited Raoul, Gemma “The Gem,” and little Hesche. So much fun finding these treasures and even better tasting them afterward at a most delightful trattoria, where every dish highlighted the flavours of our freshly gathered gems.

Dear Kate,
Thank you for your feedback. It was our pleasure to host you and spend beautiful time with you. I am so happy to know you both. Many kisses from Italy
An amazing experience from beginning to end. Beautiful and generous people with loving dogs and just a great time in the woods and at the local trattoria to celebrate our truffle finds.

Thank you so much
A fantastic experience. My husband and I were so lucky to meet Santo, Felix and Secil with their 4 dogs. Such kind people. Under perfect weather conditions we strolled through the forest and the dogs were successfully digging for truffles. Afterwards we went to a traditional family restaurant and had the best Italian food and an even better company. The trip was so much fun and the memories will stay for a long time. Absolutely recommended.

Dear Anne and Christian, we had such a beautiful day with your participation. Thank you very much. many greetings from italy
Dear Secil, dear Felix,
It was a really nice truffle hunt for us. You welcomed us very warmly and after a coffee together we already went through the undergrowth with the dog. After a successful find we then went to Alberto's to eat the truffles. It was excellent. It's like sitting at a table with friends.
Thanks again for this wonderful day and the great tips of the restaurants and excursion destinations. We will definitely come back:-)
Greetings
Sarah and Frédéric
