We had an excellent English-language tour of the Palazzo Reale di Torino (Royal Palace of Turin). It is a beautiful building to walk through, with many authentic fixtures still in place and fascinating stories accompanying them.
The tour was especially great because our guide, Giada, was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and entertaining.
No question was left unanswered, and she had a great sense of humor that provided wonderful undertones for the sometimes fantastical stories of the royalty who previously inhabited the palace.

There is an incredibly rich history that you can’t get by just walking through the palace and glancing at the placards. A tour really brings it to life. Jada was amazing- her knowledge was obvious but her enthusiasm and joy for delivering the history of the palace really made it special.

The Royal Palace tour was very good and our tour guide did a great job.
The interior of the palace is very beautiful although we were disappointed the armoury was closed, but we knew in advance so fair enough.
The tour ends in the Chapel Of The Holy Shroud.

Carol the guide of the tour was excellent, explained everything very well. We were with her for around 2 hours inside of the palace walking through the different rooms and galleries. She was particularly patient, passionate and funny. Really we enjoyed this visit.

This is a perfect way to experience and learn the history of the Palace if you don’t speak Italian. I hope you get Sophia! She is so knowledgeable and animated! We felt as if we were living in the history story she was telling. The Jewel for me was The Chapel of the Holy Shroud. Sofia’s knowledge of the shrine and its purposeful architecture was enlightening. Plus, after your guided tour…. You can stay on and spend time in the gardens, see the old ruins or spend more time in the palace or Shrine.
