Guida was a fabulous guide. He helped us make the most of our time in the museum and gave us great stories and background. I think this was a much superior way of enjoying the museum, rather than aimlessly wandering. I would highly recommend.
very friendly, charming, and above all very well-informed guide, small group (4 people), exciting and highly interesting exhibition. a clear recommendation
There is so much to see at the Egyptian Museum and our tour guide helped us focus on the most important artifacts on display. He was very knowledgeable of Egyptian history and even helped decipher some of the heiroglyphics.
The tour was lovely. We were able to get a little coffee beforehand around the corner and then got started.
The building is immense and you won’t be able to cover everything in this tour, but it was very in depth and you could tell how passionate our guide was about Egyptian history, the artifacts and the small details of each era, piece, and space.
From stone work to actual mummies, and some digital recreations, you get a full view of Egypt from ancient to less ancient to old.
If you enjoy history, definitely a worthy stop in Turin.
Very informative in a limited way as the museum has so much information. Our guide was very knowledgeable and explained the history well. We couldn’t see every exhibit in the two hours but our guide did a good job with highlights and answering questions.
Very small group but a lot of others so some displays were hard to see. Much to see but our guide did an outstanding job. Full of information very knowledgeable. If you’re into Egyptian history don’t hesitate to go.
Exceptional exhibition and information, together with Nacer the guide it made made for the experience to remember
ti was important our guide could give details about life and customs ins elations to what was expose in the museum
Firstly, its an absolute MUST to visit Egyptian Museum when in Torino .. this is one place that must not be missed. Its best to engage a guide to walk one thro the extensive museum. Our Guide NASIR is a Egyptologist and one can see his passion and listen to his detailed explanation. We were blown away by what the museum houses. Having Nasir takes us through help us to see the pieces systematically.
Totally loved the tour, awesome and would do again as well recommend to friends and family, our English speaking tour guide Carol from Canada was highly knowledgeable, still in awe over the entire experience. We spent 2 hours with our tour guide and an additional 1 1/2 hours going back and visiting the entire museum on our own. There is so much to see and learn, and we probably only absorbed 10% of the museum because of the vast amount of artifacts and information. Do not miss visiting the Egytian Museum Turino, you won’t be disappointed
Great museum with a fantastic guide. Nassar was a super knowledgeable guide and the museum really must be seen with a guide to lead you through the enormous collection and how the epochs progress.
Great tour! Very informative! Our tour guide was fabulous! He brought the exhibit to life! The museum shouldn’t be missed
Having a private guide to show you all the highlights of this museum is the only way to go. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful with all of our questions. The museum is truly amazing to see.
This was an amazing tour! Nonstop fascinating Egyptian artifacts and history. Highly recommend tour guide Sarah N. She was extremely knowledgeable and a delightful young lady. Possibly our best tour guide ever and we've done well over a 100 tours! This is a must see museum in Turin. Only issue, there was a very rude couple in our small group. It was an English speaking tour, but the wife couldn't speak English, so the husband loudly repeated everything in their language to his wife which was very distracting.
We were greeted warmly by our guide, Nasr Ammar. He showed us the major exhibits and enthusiastically explained the time period and significance of each artifact we explored together. I became ill about one third into the trip and Nasr took time to take me to a resting place until I recovered. He continued with my wife until we reunited again. He then took additional time to show me some of the highlights I missed. The collection and breadth of artifacts is exceptional! Thanks, Viator, for hiring a professional guide of Nasr's caliber!
Carol was wonderful. Very knowledgeable about Egyptian way of life and made a huge museum manageable!
The guide was wonderful! Super knowledgeable and brought thousands of years of history to life in the most interesting way. Definitely made our experience of this museum much more enjoyable and fun.
Nassar was an excellent guide. Very Knowledgable with lots of great stories to add interest. It was a great experience for everyone.
Luisa was a tremendous guide...We unfortunately were 15 minutes late...she waited for us and ended up giving us an additional 15 minutes tour. The museum is incredible and Luisa's knowledge and gift of storytelling made our experience much more valuable.
The 5000 year old mummy was fascinating. several of the painted chests caught my eye. Merit's wig was amazing in that it survived all these years intact.
Excellent and very knowledgeable guide, with deep understanding and palpable passion for Egyptian culture and history.
Nasser was a wonderful guide. He had so much knowledge and explained everything to us. Enjoyed the entire museum!
Absolutely brilliant tour. Alessandro had an insane amount of knowledge and took a lot of time to really guide us through the entire history of ancient Egypt. This is by far one of the best tours we ever had, and I dont say that lightly. He answered all our questions, gave us tons of insights (way beyond anything someone with a basic general knowledge knows or what is described in the beautiful museum itself). I would take the exact same tour again just to learn more.
We were very lucky to have the guide all to ourselves. Great communicator and very insightful. Answered all our questions. Just wish it lasted the full two hours instead of 90mins.
Our guide was very good in accommodating our child’s interests. We highly recommend this to families.
Our guide, Lara, was amazingly knowledgeable. She was totally engaging and accommodating We went to the museum on a very busy Saturday afternoon but she managed to keep our group together and find our way through the crowds. She has a great sense of humor. We got so much more from our visit than we would have without Lara as our guide.
Although the museum was crowded, Lara guided us thru and made sure to explain and point out details in this vast collection of antiquities. It certainly helped that she was an expert in the field and her knowledge and pleasant demeanor made this tour even better. So much to see and understand, Lara brought so much more to this important museum. Very happy we did this tour, well worth it.
We were very glad we booked this experience, led by Nassir. First, the museum is very busy and the layout perhaps not intuitive to understand how to proceed through different areas. He was able to guide us through crowds and form an ordered timeline through the exhibits. Nassir is an Egyptologist, so there was no level of detail that he was unable to discuss in more detail when asked. He was professional, but casual and friendly at the same time. Highly recommend!
Exceptional guide, excellent English, and a wealth of knowledge to share. The museum is huge and having a guide to navigate through the many exhibits was invaluable. Absolutely fascinating! Highly recommend.
Our guide was fabulous. Best way to learn about Egypt. Very much enjoyed the 2 hrs there. He kept us informed and engaged the whole time.
